Incredibly helpful video, do you have a diagram of the engine with labeled components? Or how did you know what parts you were interacting with?

Very cool video! How many miles did the engine have before rebuild?

44,000 kms , ran way to much boost in a bad tune I’m thinking is what killed the liners.

44,000 kms is about a little bit more than 27,000 miles. I have a 2014 ZL1 with about 82,000 miles, about 132,000 kms. It runs great no issues. I've been wanting to add extra hp, I don't take it to the track just street driving, you think the bottom end will hold up or should I do full rebuild?

Really depends on how hard you push it. These engines are prone to have badly concentric cylinder liners when install. So you may have a good one or a bad one like mine. Mine were very off center so basically my walls were thinner one side then the other and when I added more then factory boost and a bad tune, BOOM. 💥 cracked liners.
The cranks are super strong , pistons and rods are the weak link.

That's interesting of what you say about the liners. I would have never considered that. Now you got me thinking about getting full rebuild, machined with new liners. Thanks for answering.
