Breakups are so hard especially when you've been together for a while. I admire you for applying to nursing school while juggling many other things that can be taxing both mentally and physically. Here's to an awesome 2021 Michelle! You're gonna rock it!
Congratulations on the apartment, the job, applying to nursing school, and to Queenie's nail growing back! Hope you are well and staying safe, especially living in LA! Best of luck to you and Queenie! ^^
I grew up in L.A. It is SO crowded now. Areas that used to be dead are hip and teeming with people (Venice, Culver City). Pre-Covid traffic was unbearable.
can you please help me figure out how to find these apartments because everytime i look on google to search for apartments in LA, either it shows me options that are way too expensive or it shows me “co-living” options like there is no in between? 🤷🏼♀️ i need help 😫😩
Breakups suck - I ended a 4-year relationship last year. It’s definitely a transition. But it seems like you’re transitioning well! Congrats on the place!
Omg I’m looking through these vids and I find this perfect one, I live in LA as well and my budgets about $1500 so this is a perfect vid, and my names Michelle too 😭 thank you for uploading!
Your video was very helpful. Thank you so much on the tips. Can you talk a little more on how you found your job I’m currently looking for a job right now so I can be able to move in to a place of my own
Hi there! So I was able to get my job through a hospital volunteer program that I'm currently doing. The parent company of my program hired me and is contracting out to a university in Texas, which is administering the vaccine. Your best bet would probably be to look up job listings of remote vaccination opportunities online. I'm sure there are a lot more! I wish you the best of luck. 😊
@@Conekiller29 : She’s looking for a studio apartment. For $1,400 she can find one in a halfway decent L.A. area like Hollywood, Koreatown, or Mid-City. She can definitely find one in an outlying area like Inglewood, the South Bay, or the Valley.
So did u bring the applications to the showing or u submitted it later? I need to find an apt in LA next month so I’m tryna figure out how to go about it
Also how did u determine the 10,000 number to put into ur bank acc? Is that like the min amount they’re looking for or u just chose that number? Thanks
The leasing agent provides you with the application (in the form of a link or paper forms) after the showing! Or you can just ask them for the application without a showing (but I highly recommend seeing any place you're considering first). And the $10,000 was the most money I could afford to put down. If you have a great credit score and well-established income, you probably won't need as much. I just knew I needed to put a big number down because my income source was relatively new.
Hah that's not quite how I would put it. By no means were either of us "over" the relationship at that point, we just recognized that breaking up created an opportunity for both of us to grow while apart from each other (for the first time in a very long time). 😊
Super congrats on your new job! It's important work getting people vaccinated in Texas- thank you! And Congrats on your new home- may it be a wonderful haven for you
San Diego is cheaper, no traffic, and better weather...you can get more for your money there. LA is full of trash, tents on sidewalks, hobos, crime and the weather is not as nice and it is further away from the ocean than SD.

Thank you, Eunice 🥺💕 wishing you an amazing 2021 as well!
Thank you so much for doing a realistic apartment hunt! I am also moving to LA in a few months after a breakup so this video really hit home.
Hoping you're in happier times now 💕

Thank u 🥺 hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy as well 💕
This is the most honest apartment hunting video. Thank you so much! I’ll be moving to LA this fall on a leap of faith. This video is inspiring
Just went through the breakup / apartment hunt combo in Denver. Hope 2021 brings some smoother seas.
Thank you, and I hope the same for you! Sending positive vibes to you in Denver ❤️
Congrats on the apartment, job and for Queenie having a nail that grows hehe. Here's to a smooth sailing 2021 with things starting to look up!
Ty! Always grateful for your positive energy 💕
Even though we talked and I knew you found an apartment, the anticipation was killing me!!! So, so happy for you, Ala!
Thanks, Whit ❤️ congrats on your new place too! Cheers to new beginnings 😊

Man same here!! I remember when echo Park was pretty ghetto now it's all hipped out!
💯 sound effects, glad Queenie's nail is growing back, and congratulations on your new apartment!
Tysm 🥰
I went through the same situation before getting in my new place. But I was able to get a job and I got my place!

@@MichelleAlacon thank you! Kevin and I have been climbing every weekend-we’ll let you know the next time we’re at Stoney Point!
I really liked those last two apartments, but especially number 7. Kinda can’t wait to see where you end up.
Already workin on that video 😊
The horn sounds
😂 Also, you and Queenie are so bonded, I love it. Congrats on your new apartment!
All throughout editing, I kept thinking that horn was in real life 😂 and ty 💕

Good luck now. Rent has gone up 400-500 dollars in LA everywhere
You can request a bank statement at any time. You just go to your online bank. This girl, man
I just went thru a bad break up & im moving back to LA next month. I hope the rest of your 2021 is full of blessings & peace 🙌🏾❤️
Thank you so much 💕 Hoping you're in happier times soon too ✨

i’m planning on moving to la but like in 2/3 years since i’m only 17 and trying to stack some money up
Do not move to la.
Love the video! Curious to how you found your job because I’m about to apartment search myself and having a remote job would be amazing!
Thank you! I actually got it through my volunteer work at a hospital. Just got lucky with the connection!

For apartment #3, I would love to use the same leasing company you worked with if you care to share. Thank you!
Nice congratz, apartment hunting can be such a pain. Especially during these covid times.

Soon. Very soon 🤓
Didn't think there where places this cheap in LA I assumed it was in the $2000
i thought they were at least $3000 man
@@lesliemichellee: It would be at least $3,000 if she were either on the west side or in a new high rise apartment.
@@hereforit2347 the areas suck ass though

Congrats on the new place. I am moving there from Ohio in about 6 months!
Thank youuu 😊 I wish you the best of luck in finding a place of your own!
You got over a relationship that lasted for years in a matter of three months? I wish it were that easy for all of us. Good luck to you!💜

Any places you recommend in San Diego for someone looking to move out there?
I don’t think you can get a nice place there for 1,400.00 a month good luck
Yenno, I'm actually really happy with the place that I ended up with, but I do feel very lucky to have found it as well 😁
You talk to much why not just show the apartments while you are talking !!
