Golf r estate or Leon Cupra r ST will be better in every way other than ride height
I tell you what though now in 2022 as a 30 something year old man, the buttons/dials for the sound and climate control are sexy AF 🔥
I’m in my early 50’s and just picked mine up 2023 update ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I’m in love with it same chassis as my Q2, funny enough I put the all weather mats from my Q2 in it.

brits72 unfortunately not. Waiting for some inheritance to come through and it’s been delayed (should have got it last Tuesday) hopefully it’s sorted soon and I can get my hands on it. Oddly enough my wife is looking at a Q2 but don’t think she’s totally made her mind up yet.
Theinterimbeast87 honesty try the Q2 first,and unless you can get the S line there so basic... I really thought that the Audi would have been better? I’ve never had a brand new car only classic vws,still have my camper and my mk3 GTi. But my health now insists I need comfort... I’ve racked my brains over these two SUVs and done a lot of research... I hope you get one 😊
brits72 my auntie has a Q2 s line that’s what got her onto the idea of getting one. I think the RS Q3 looks really nice but it’s just far too expensive I like you have never had a new car before even the T roc I’ll be getting will probably be a 69plate with a couple of thousand miles on the clock. I’ve looked at so many different cars and the T roc just seems to fit the bill for everything, I like a bit of speed off the line it looks comfortable and drives well. Give me an update on whatever you get :)
Great video, it makes sense to go for this than the Golf R. Seriously Lap timer in a crossover!!! Definitely a winner all round.
The T-roc was built on the polo chassis not golf, but still amazing car. The only thing is, if you do have kids do not buy this car, not enough boot space at all and the back seats haven't got the most space. I know because I sell these.
Naala Sky Hi I'm 6ft 3all legs between the T roc and the T cross which one has more legroom up front for driver and passenger?
@@jerryrawlings8885 I would 100% say that you would fit in both, however the leg room in the back would be the problem. You could probably fit someone that’s no bigger then 6ft otherwise their knees will be feeling the front two seats. Despite the T-cross being the shorter car, it provides more leg room. I would definitely recommend driving both or maybe even taken for a day. I work for Volkswagen and I know some retailers offer you to take the car for the day, to see if it fits your lifestyle.

@@jerryrawlings8885 both cars offer enough leg room for the front driver and passenger. Just need to see which you prefer, I much prefer the T-roc but only for personal reasons.

Why would you buy this?! The boot size is only 40l more than the Golf R and the space within is the same. It’s only a few inches higher. Why not get the Golf R estate instead and have a lower centre of gravity?!

after the facelift they give impractical touch controls everywhere... so it's better before the facelift

But I have a question: I know this concerns the T-Roc R’s sister car and not the T-Roc R itself, but why isn’t the SQ2 available with adaptive dampers like the T-Roc R?

17" brake discs I thought they were 340mm ?
Some other review said after the international launch and I found it weird. Same thing happened with Up! GTI, they said it had 15" brake discs. That turned out to mean 15" brake callipers and suspect the same is true here.

If I was getting a car in this class I’d probably go for the BMW X2 M35i or the MINI Countryman JCW. But I’d save a bit longer and spend the extra on the X3 M40i or with the insane deals that are in at the minute get the X3 M 😂

I've never understood the suv thing for practicality. As alot of them have less boot space than a hatchback I'd rather have a fast estate.

BUT personally I would get a Cupra Ateca and save some money... for your gym subscription.
...or a Cupra Leon estate which is still 4 wheel drive, can be tuned to 350 bhp through Seat without losing the warranty and is more practical and probably better to drive...
... or a superb 280 sportline which has LOADS more room and comfort (think Audi A6), the same engine / AWD / LSD and is still cheaper!

No it's VWs SQ2, RSQ3 was a level above, albeit sh*t
RSQ3 is 5 pot, one reason along to buy it over T-Roc R, SQ2 & Cupra Ateca. Interior will be less crap too - but at a price of course
The back is really ugly, looks like a dwarf suv. Otherwise i would have bought it.
