I had a similar idea but it also included the dark and psychic types. My idea was what if all the starters gained a secondary typing that counter balanced them and rotated each generation?
Example:
Sceptile: Grs-Psy
Blaziken: Fire-Ftg
Swampert: Wtr-Dark
Torterra: GrsFtg
Infernape: FireDark
Empeloen: WtrPsy
The only problem is that there isn’t a truly balanced trio except fire-water-grass, because dark is immune to Psychic instead of just resisting.

This isn't far enough. We need Fire/Fighting variants of Venusaur, Blastoise, Meganium, Feraligatr, Sceptile, Swampert, Torterra, Empoleon, Serperior, Samurott, Chesnaught, Greninja, Decidueye, Primarina, Rillaboom, Inteleon, and Raichu or Pikachu for good measure

When I think Fire Fighting type pokemon, I think of Squirtle
The fighting styles I could recognize in the video:
3:25 Delphox - Probably some kind of shaolin kung fu monk, because of the staff
4:32 Typhlosion - Like he said, it’s probably some delinquent, but it could also be Japanese wrestling, because of his meaty paws
5:51 Charizard - Kung Fu, kind of obvious, the stance looks quite similar to the snake style, so I think that’s what it is, with the long body resembling a snake
6:53 Incinerar - just wrestling, nothing to look at here
8:17 Cinderace - this is obviously Muay Thai, the stance is a pretty dead giveaway, Sagat is a Muay Thai fighter so that’s why

Everyone acts so frightened and depressed about 3 Fire/Fighting starters like the ones we have are bad. It only happened 3 times and now every fire starter has people clapping themselves over if it's gonna start boxing 😂
And, like, for all people whine about how the reason is that they just want more diversity in the starters... beyond the type, they pretty much have nothing in common.

That new intro is SO smooth, and love the new logo. Bromo did so good with these fire fighting types! My favorite definitely has got to be fire/fighting Incineroar, though it’s a hard pick. Great video as always!

Besides grass dark is worse than grass psychic in terms of weaknesses.
Grass/Fighting, Fire/Dark and Water/Psychic is a good option.
I really do like charizard’s, cinderace’s and inceneroar’s designs here, almost to the point of preferring them over the original designs.

Ngl charizard looks more of fire steel then fire fighting to me but I do agree with how cinderace looks amazing
Cinderace was my favorite because it still looks like it could be a soccer player, and it looks the most plausible/looks like it could most reasonably evolve from its second evolution, Raboot, moreso than any of the other Pokemon in this video.
The Charizard looks like an armored Charmeleon
I can admit that I also didn’t want a retread of something that’s been done when it came to a Fire-Fighting starter, but I’m very much aware of the variety of fighting styles that can be employed. Mostly, I just want to see where an idea comes from and goes. This is probably why I actually like what’s been done so far, why I wouldn’t have been too upset with Cinderace gaining the Fighting type, and why it really wouldn’t bother me if it’s done again in the future. I just hope that it’s a concept that is interesting. I’m still surprised that we haven’t gotten representation for Power Rangers/Super Sentai yet.

I love that Typhlosion design! I was brainstorming on that myself the other day and thought of him with Quilava’s sleeker design. This is good also!
My favorites were the Typhlosion and the Delphox!
While i do get why people don’t want all fire fighting starters but if it makes sense then it makes sense, if you don’t like it you don’t have to use the starter or even evolve it all the way. Otherwise we end up with mons like incineroar and cinderace which kinda have the fighting type feel but the only reason they’re not is people would be mad about a fictional animals fictional typing.
If the pokemon company is worried at the amount of hate they'd get from making a fire fighting type, then just don't make a mon that feels like it should be fire fighting type. Sometimes I swear gamefreak can be the most unimaginative company.
@@probablyseth3565 I agree and disagree none of the three starters have the same vibe as one another as well as cinderace or incineroar they do have the overall theme of sport i suppose but a wrestler pig isn’t anything like the character sun wukong or a football playing rabbit. They are all creative and convey their typings and themes in different ways to one another so in that way they are all creative. But on the flip side yeah you don’t have to make every fire starter more focussed around physical strength which makes people think fighting type.
Incineroar is based off a heel wrestler, dark type fully makes sense and was an interesting choice for an interesting concept
@@probablyseth3565 Except their designs are still great, they are very popular with milions and have strong concepts with imaginative ideas behind them, calling them unimaginative becaue youre whining about such a random pattern like that, when clearly you have no reason to hate em other tham being part of a group is just sad, this is your problem if you identifying a pattern on their style makes you mad, their designs are still very good
I more feel disappointed at the lack of dual-type Water starters and how in Gen 5, only Emboar got a dual type.
Can't wait for all Grass-Fighting and Water-Fighting starters!
Here’s one thing I’d like to mention about the Fighting-type Incineroar; it seems to reflect face wrestlers much like how the Dark one reflects heels! In fact, calling it the Face Pokémon would be a perfect contrast!
It could work for an alternate regional variant of Incineroar.

@@madnessarcade7447 People are, whenever ones monotype people are a bit letdown as they'd been hoping for some new and cool type combo. Last ones people were pretty let down because they were expecting things like water/ghost, grass/fighting, and fire/electric which would of been 50x cooler looking

The Delphox redesign is AMAZING
Ironically I was looking thru Jumbo’s twitter and the fakemon of each (US) state earlier today and thought the Texan fire starter made a lot of sense but see why people wouldn’t like it. Also the cinderace and especially the delphox and incineroar swaps were amazing! (Cool new pfp as well!)
Edit: Nothing to fix just wanted to say that congrats on 100,000k subs and that it’s videos like this that remind me how cool delphox could’ve been (not saying I hate it’s original design but I don’t love it either). Like this fire/fighting type swap or iirc it was Tam Valley Productions who did a water/psychic delphox that looked super cool!

I'm gonna be entirely honest here: I prefer the fire fighting Charizard design over the original.
Honestly I never liked Charizard's design, it always just looked like a orange dragon to me. So seeing Charizard not only having a deeper red which carries over the pattern of the Charmander lines scales getting darker as they evolve, and having it in general carry over a lot of lizard-ness that makes me like the first two forms (since lizards are my favorite animals) honestly makes me feel like this design is a huge step-up over the original.
I honestly rather like Fighting as a secondary type.
the Fire type is just one of, if not absolutely, the easiest types to pair with it.

I actually like these designs for Cinderace and Incineroar more than their actual designs. I admit that I was wary of Fire/Fighting for a while, but I think its been long enough that we can start using that type again.

What I think about the proposal in the video to turn all Fire starter Pokémon into Fire/Fighting:
• Delphox as a Fire Fighting-type - I like Delphox, and this design is really cool, in addition to the clever use of Delphox’s motifs such as the wand expanding, locking & turning into a fiery staff (sansetsukon) when Delphox pulls it from its “sleeves” as a battle starts.
Every time I replay Pokémon X/Y, I ALWAYS default to Fennekin. As such, I have a soft spot for Delphox.
• Typhlosion as Fire Fighting-type - stupidly bulky design (I can see the “you vs. the guy she told you not to worry about” memes with this design from here), but kind of fits because of Typhlosion’s well known short temper. hahaha. Oh wait, this can also work as a Mega Evolution for Typhlosion!
I should also congratulate Typhlosion for getting a secondary typing (Hisuian Typhlosion - Fire Ghost). After what, 20+ years?
• Charizard as Fire Fighting-type - Since when did Kommo-o have a Kantonian cousin?
• Incineroar as Fire Fighting-type - *This* should have been Incineroar's typing from the get-go, not Fire/Dark.
• Cinderace as Fire Fighting-type - I do not know, Cinderace is giving me vibes of a soccer player such as Lionel Messi & not a warrior/martial arts practitioner; so, this typing can work, but is weird for him.
Blaziken & Infernape?
they are fine as is, but their designs can be updated.

I actually don't care if a Fire starter becomes Fire/Fighting as long as they look cool while holding, and each and every one the 3 hit it amazingly, I love Blaziken, Infernape, & Emboar. In fact while designing my own Korlaya starters, I made a grass/steel Hedge-Wolf, a water/psychic Shrimp, & and a Fire/Fighting Bull that is inspired by Luchadors
If the new fire starter isn't fighting we'll have 1/3 fighting, which sounds like good ratio

It's interesting to note that the Fighting type is the most common typing for starter Pokémon to be paired with; you got the Blaziken, Infernape, Emboar, Chesnaught, and Hisuian, Decidueye. And so far, no water type starter has been paired with the Fighting type
