I saw this video posted earlier and didn’t watch. Now I’m back after coming across this scripture today: “The guard decided to go along with their plan and tested them for ten days. At the end of ten days they looked better and healthier than all the young men who were eating the king’s food. So the guard kept taking away their rations and the wine they were supposed to drink and gave them vegetables instead. And God gave knowledge, mastery of all literature, and wisdom to these four men. Daniel himself gained understanding of every type of vision and dream.” Daniel 1:14-17 CEB Thanks for posting!
I'm waiting for this video and want to tell you that I'm a new subscriber and I just looked through a few of the videos you've done. Lady you have something on a lot of the topics I want to do research on. I can't wait to be able to dive in!! I'm glad I found your channel.
We switched our dogs and ancient cat from mass produced bagged food to a well balanced, raw food diet, and we saw a huge change in their health, behavior, and coats in just a few days. Works the same for us!
Our cats are SUPER finicky. They are obligate carnivores, so certainly meat/fish, but finding what they will eat (and what is affordable) can take some time. I give our 4 a can of tuna with a duck-egg yolk each day in addition to their dry food. Raw diets certainly have a lot of benefits too.
I went carnivore 4 month ago, my health has never been better. I used to be vegan, and developed insulin resistance, kidney and liver failure, and constant brainfogg/dissosiation. After i went carnivore, it was all gone.
Doctor Snipes, Your lectures have always served as a great addition to my therapy (ACT). They are succint and easy to follow, and the presentation itself makes a perfect visual aid. However, in this case plain text is not enough. It's easy to follow links between child neglect/abuse, trauma, trust issues, avoidance, dissociation, flashbacks etc. in the context of (C)PTSD, because these are familiar concepts in a familiar context. On the other hand, this lecture consists of abstract concepts with almost no familiar context. I would suggest adding a block-scheme of some sort. It could start with your basic carbs, protein and fat. Then, after you've introduced new concepts like omega-3 and omega-6 fats, you could show the updated scheme with new branch(-es) coming from the "fat" box. This method will support the continuity of your video, taking off mental load from your viewers. Ideally, I would add the final scheme to the description as a PDF file. Respectfully, Alena Salenko
I'm working on this. I have a systemic autoimmune inflammatory disease as it is. I feel better overall when I eat less carbs. My body hates them. If I eat a potato, my knees ache. The human body is just so amazing. I had no idea that I couldn't lose weight because I couldn't eat a normal nutritional diet. I had to get to know my body and understand how it works just like my brain and trauma. The more anxiety etc. I had, the worse my body reacted to sugar etc. I'm a work in process where the diet is concerned, but some very good suggestions that people overlook. I feel so much better when I'm eating well. Sometimes, food is like an addiction or a way to bury feelings, pain, etc.; I have to learn to react differently. Thanks for the suggestions and encouragement. I can't eat a lot of things you said because of the sensitivities I have, but that is why I say know your body.; Everyone is different.
That is a really fascinating observation. Whenever your HPA-Axis (cortisol levels) are high, your body reacts more strongly to foods it finds inflammatory. That parallels exactly what happens with our moods as well. If you are already stressed, then minor stressors cause a stronger reaction. Thank you so much for sharing!
@@DocSnipes The reason I went back to therapy is my anxiety had been bad for a while (not my norm at all) and my body was reacting so badly to most foods that I was going crazy because I'm very picky and I didn't have much left I could eat. As the anxiety lessoned, my food reactions have. It's not all gone. I swell very easily. I have AS and my body would attack my eye, so I learned early on that if I get overly stressed, there was a huge chance of an extreme immune reaction. My body was still living in a fear state, so as I dealt with more of the core parts of my past (outer layers had already been vanquished), some of that resolved. Around the time I figured out I had root veggie sensitivities along with a lot of other things, by going to AS forums and reading about other people's struggles and that low carb helped, I was going to cross fit 4 days a week with a trainer, eating paleo, and then doing the same exercise 1 day a week on my own for 4 months and didn't lose one pound and no inches. How is that even possible? I was devastated. I stumped every nutritionist. Food allergies weren't showing up on tests, but I was having systematic reactions. So yeah, my body could be a test case for food insanity lol.
Hi :) thank you for all your videos! I was wondering if you could do more on narcissism / co-parenting (or not!) with a narcissist / acceptance, etc...i find your videos very educational, factual, and helpful, and this is something im really struggling with, and ive watchced thousands of other videos on these topics, but ID LOVE TO HEAR YOUR INSIGHT ON IT! thanks :)
I was 30 years over the road driver. With the ms of course they don't let me drive any more. The last ten years I didn't eat a home cooked meal. It is verry difficult and expensive to eat this way on the road. Still physically all over the place in adjusting fresh stuff. I have been fighting inflammation since the late 80s. Over 20 years on 800mg of motion 3 times a day from the navy and VA, still on intiinflamitory meds.
Isn't insulin resistent one of the most common reasns for most of the mood disorders? Why should one eat food high in sugar? Fructose and glucose (grains) spikes the blood glucose, which makes one irritable, short tempered and easily tired. I don't understand this recommendation
She says in the beginning that the whole fruit (as one example) has high fiber content and the fiber slows/lowers the blood sugar spike. So if you can couple foods with fiber it can help, though watching the amount of food you eat with high glucose/fructose is also important. I'm sure the suggestion is not to stuff your face with them.
Hi Dr, Snipes thank you 😊 I’ve been thinking about this more lately prevention of inflammation a anti-inflammatory I drink a lot of water , tea and smoothies . I try to drink a liter to 2 in a half of liters of water a day .
I love it too! I’ve been “binge-watching” and I’m not sure if that’s good or bad. On the one hand, it’s kind of an addictive behavior; on the other hand, I’m learning so much!
I have a question. If you took a test that would test every mental faculty and assume that your score represents the 10% of your brain you use, could you increase your score till you get to 100%?

Would you tell me what you feed your cat. I’d like to help my cat
We do not do purely raw food for our dogs, but we have switched to corn/grain free foods and supplement with eggs. It makes a huge difference.
