Could have used a little explanation of the "nesting" for transport, securly fastening, why you want to run the backpack straps (the other way), etc...Everything was fast forwarded too fast ans could not even see what you were doing throughout the whole thing. If all I was looking for was put the seat on (and not how to securely adjust the straps) then put the boot stirrups and bungees on then yadda yadda... well, I would have just typed that here because that's what we got in this video.

I find that most people wouldn't want to sit through a regular speed build such as this. Did you know that you can slow the video down? Simply hit those three little dots (on mobile) or the gear (on web browser) and select your playback speed.

After watching your video and the hundred dollar difference between this and the SD... I went with the steel. Sports Authority had one left that was just returned because the guy said it was too heavy. I'm 64 and don't think the additional 9 pounds is that much and if anyone thinks the camo seat & padding is worth 150 dollars more..forget it...you're 15 feet in the air and you're covering the majority of it.
Anyway...$ 208 dollars out the door and I couldn't be happier. It sure beats lugging a 46 pound ladder stand around. And great unboxing video. Looks like I'm going to be purchasing a better harness system as you are so right about the one that came with it. Happy Hunting !! 🦌
Hey John, thanks for the kind words. The Steel is definitely a quality climber and you will be really happy with it. It’s also super comfortable! What I look for in concealment with these stands is the color of the metal and with the Steel you’ll blend right in. You’ll also be happy with an upgraded harness. MUCH more comfortable. Firstly overall a good video. A couple points of note are the shoulder straps when put on as shown in the video do not work they will loosen under weight. Secondly the foot stirrups were put on incorrectly. If you could slow down the video a bit that would be great.

@@mountainbuck the buckles where you fast forwarded through that whole thing. Less fast forwarding would be better I think. I've never even touched one of these things until today.
You are able to slow the video down by clicking on those three little dots (on mobile app) or by clicking on the gear icon (on desktop). I have a complete demo and review video for the viper steel and viper SD. Here is the link to the steel: ua-cam.com/video/sap-KJIdMUM/v-deo.html please be sure to wear your safety harness (upgrade if you can) and use that one inch flat strap to secure the seated portion to the tree once you are up in your spot. yeah....those back straps...i don't have. the bottom ones you loop through the top ones, i have those. But the only other straps i have are green ones and they don't have the knot at the end of them so i can just loop em through

great...everything was going smooth until we go to the backpack straps...mine aren't the same as your's and idk if I'm missing pieces or what (just took it out of the box) but something isn't adding up...and i also noticed your foot straps already mounted (again, i haven't fast forward to see you show that and make an ass out of myself but im expecting everything to be in order...not skipping steps then going back)

What is the gray stand umbilical cord for?
Hey Matt, thanks for checking out my channel! The umbilical cord keeps both sections of the stand attached to the other so that when you are in the tree, the bottom platform doesn’t fall to the ground and leave you stranded up there.
What’s the boot strap for?
Hey CSHIFFLETT, it helps to keep your boots attached to the foot platform, making it easier to climb. If you watch some of my Summit Viper demo / review videos you’ll see it in action 👍🏻

Wife got me one for Christmas and i already hate it. The assembly instructions are horrible. The frustration of putting it together make me not even want to use it. Im thankful for the video however it was of little help to me.
