WOW! I’ve had a few friends in the past, but nothing that lasts a lifetime. I love to crappie fish an only wish I had someone that loved the Lord and wouldn’t have to worry about it being a vulgar beerfest. I’m a kid at heart and I thoroughly admire your story! Thank you!

A friend like Tommy is highly valuable for sure Hollis. Always good to go fishing with you and Nancy, but I think Tommy beat you both out this time. Next trip maybe you and Nancy will come out on top. Thanks for the ride along and God bless.

I had a best friend of over 40 yrs. She never liked the things i enjoyed like fishing or gardening but we loved to be together and talked for hours. Unfortunately, she has dementia now. My sister and i hang out now. We talk, shop for hours a few days a week... She also doesn't enjoy fishing, gardening or cooking... but her son suddenly developed an interest in gardening. Your videos will help us get started. Thank you ❤

Thanking God, here in far north California, that you have such a wonderful pleasure. You know, God didn't make us to painful toil and sweat as described in Genesis. My heart yearns and I cried watching you, I want this way of life for my husband. He just has to want it (he loves fishing) more than the painful toil and sweat to just work to pay the bills. Thanks for a great video that points us to Christ.

We understand, we prayed and we worked hard for many years and both retired before we were able to buy the homestead. With God all things are possible. Lord we lift up this family to guide them to the life they dream of. Amen 🙏. My favorite verse Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. We live our life to delight God and love His people and He abundantly blessed us.

Yes that is an awesome friendship! I had a friend like that, Hollis! Sadly he passed just over three years ago! He was an old Army buddy and both of us retired and had other jobs and retired again. He had a long term illness which eventually claimed him about 3 years ago! Cherish that friendship forever, Hollis, as I know you will!

Our Lake Seminole is saturated with those weeds. DNR has brought carp in to eat some of it but they put up a fish gate to keep the carp out of the big lake. We have Flint River, Chattahoochee River and Spring Creek that empties into the lake. Florida gets all that water.

We call them Crappie here in Georgia! My dad and I have been tying off under bridges and railroad trusses at night catching them for 32 years since I was 4, as far back as I can remember! We don’t keep anything under 15 inches and have a 30 fish per person limit! We get our 60 keepers every trip though. It’s fun when the Stippers, hybrid, and white bass come through… when you fish for crappie during the day all you get is the size in the video, about 8-10 inches, those fish aren’t even 2 years old so we release them.

When I was a youth in the 1950s, my Uncle Horace took me fishing with him. We often went to Lake Kickapoo in north Texas because he fished illegally and sold the fish, illegally. Our fishing was done at night and the work usually took all night. He would sometimes drop me off om am island and I would fish from the bank, build a large fire, make coffee and doze. I created a scene in my book, Michael's Eyes, of those moments.

My dad had a best friend who he lost contact with for 30 years before reconnecting again and they spoke every day for 10 years before my dad passed in 2018. His best friend passed in 2020. I only had one really good friend whom I moved away from when I was a kid. He passed away last year aged 47. Moral of the story is you need to appreciate relationships while you can.
