Man you have SUCH a great channel!!! How do you NOT have over a million subs???
I sound like a bad kermit the frog impersonator, my jokes are lame, and my editing is basic. I still agree with you though.
100% agree! Plus he is hilarious on Drunk Friend and Poly Kill podcasts. The world needs more Trav fans.
Same as Rose Tinted Spectrum - the best retro channels have few subs
@@NESFriendyou are on the verge of doing UA-cam voice - the biggest suggestion to improve would be to speak normally. UA-cam voice turns off more people than it entices if you don't have a huge channel. It's not a good thing to talk like you would never talk in real life
Monster Truck Rally was apparently a port of the Intellivision game "Stadium Mud Buggies", which game out 2 years prior to the NES game.
There is no better video game title than Stadium Mud Buggies
BIG comeback Trav! You're absolutely right, I picked BigFoot as a rental because all the "triple star" games were checked out, and got hooked up by the cover, but I will never forget the disappointment after playing it. Thank you for another BIG BIG BIG video!
Bigfoot looks good for that era. Surprised by presentation and gameplay even if its difficult or unfriendly for beginners
Bigfoot is both crunching, AND munching.
I love how you combine like titles and compare in these videos. Your channel is way underrated.
Thanks for the great start to the day! Great video!
Bill Chicago
Admission pays for the whole seat, but you'll only need THE EDGE!! (mostly because there's a cat sitting on the seat)
The only nostalgia I have for this at all was the awesome announcer for the commercials that would come on during Saturday morning cartoons. I honestly didn't know these were two different games, though xD
The thing I remember best about these games was the track editor in Monster Truck Rally (and that great menu music! Gotta love George Sanger). Both of these were an okay rental for me and my brother back in the day, but once I played stuff like Mario Kart and was spoiled by split screen, why bother?
Bigfoot game was like a nostalgia rush for me
Just saw an ad for Bigfoot in an old comic I was reading on Noburu on Vita 😂😅
I've never seen these games in the wild, played them, nor looked up footage, and now I want to play them even less, thanks nesfriend! Now to not add them to the list!
Just out here doing my part
Oh God...Bigfoot...I remember renting that from the video store when I was a kid and making no progress in it. Ever.
Nice review, I enjoyed your commitment to the bit, bit, bit...
I think Micro Machines was a pretty good implementation of that "racing game with everyone on the screen at all times" idea. At least we had a lot of fun with it back in the day. As for isometric racing... Yeah, Super Off Road looks miles better and then of course there's the good old RC Pro Am and its sequel.
This was a good retro games video video video .
i see what you did there (there there there)
I won't stand for the slight besmirching of Bigfoot!
I mean, you're not wrong...BUT STILL!
Boy I got BigFoot a couple years ago, not ashamed to say it's been sitting at the bottom of the pile since then. It would probably have been alright to play it growing up, but I can't see myself learning to beat it now.
The other game is really green.
I think I'd rather play through Hydlide again rather than even make another attempt at Bigfoot 😂
I had Bigfoot when I waa a kid and still remember getting blisters racing my friends.
While I never saw them in person, my younger brother and I loved monster trucks as a kid and we had a ton of them; shame to see that the NES didn't have a good game based on them, they should have just done it like Rad Racer or Pole Position or something like those games.
For some reason, I've never seen monster trucks do tractor pulls, only tractors do that, but I could be wrong.
The Bigfoot game would be more playable with the ASCII Grip.
I see what you did there there there...
Couple of jankers here.
How about high way star?
Petit message, pour un ami qui a ouvert sa chaîne :
Mat_MonRetro
Si vous aimez bien la neo geo, nes, mais pas que.
I'll stick to RC Pro Am or Galaxy 5000 for my racing Isos, but heck even Super Sprint is better than Monster Truck Rally. Though i totally agree that Bigfoot is the inferior of the 2 but not by much😂
Oh, God, I rented Bigfoot for a weekend as a kid and hated it. I was familiar with Bigfoot and wanted to play the game.
To this day, it is still probably the worst racing game I've ever played. So bad.
I recently encountered an Atari ST/Amiga racing game for my channel, which for me is easily the worst racing game of the time. It's called Drivin' Force and I highly recommend it, if you want to feel better about Bigfoot.
The trucks on the second game do not resemble monster trucks at all. The whole thing looks like you're driving an old pickup to your uncle's farm in a lame road full of garbage. The tug of war mode had potential but sadly it looks very poorly developed
Looks like something Uncle Doug would drive down to the flea market.
Muito bom mais um inscrito com like vamos se Fortalecer tmj!
Good vid. Forget these pieces of crap, just play RC Pro am or Rock n' Roll racing.
