  • We continue working on Matt’s Recovery Jeep this week as a 2nd Jeep arrives for us to disassemble and salvage parts for the Banana! We get the fenders, all 4 doors from the donor Jeep and grille all prepped. We get the hood braced with a new latch mechanism working. Last but not least we are able to remove the Banana's roof panel while we prep the new one from the parts Jeep! We have made a lot of progress and finally get all the parts primed!

Body work is sooooo detailed orientated, people don’t seem to understand the time and detail and amount of experience it takes to work on cars. I’ve seen Porsche’s being worked on from 356’s to 911’s and that’s when I really started to respect and appreciate all you body work gentle men. The time, patients, and persistence to doing and getting it right is never seen. So when that bill hits the table understand sometimes its a 3 man operation or two for some shops and the hours and labor to get the job done are not reflected (not to mention the phone or internet time to hunt for parts) . So thanks all you guys, great and fun episode (learned a lot)!

Awesome work, you can really tell that yall take pride in our work, go the extra mile, and pay attention to detail. Also the fact that most of the little things that yall focus on and put work into really is gonna make the banana look better than if it just rolled off of the factory line, 95 percent of people would never notice, but the few that will notice without watching the videos, is how you will know you are doing something special and be worth it, and also make you business grow and get new customers.

Its awesome to see a shop with so much pride in detail. Seeing Robby skilled and hands on, instead of just walking out of a office throwing out expectations is awesome. The Banana is in good hands.

You can tell how pleased Matt is with your work. Sure, you’re doing more than needed and more than he would really expect, but a professional is always going to do the best work they are capable of within reason of what the project requires. People are going to see your final work. No better advertisement than what you’re doing right now.

Watching this video reminded me of how Matt got screwed over with a bad shop that did the rhino lining on the Morrvair. What a huge step up with you taking care of the Banana. Love the content, you’ve earned yourself a new subscriber.

I really like seeing all the different processes and steps it takes to get this prepped. So many videos only show paint steps or only show major fabrication or body panel replacement. Kind of makes me want to buy some hammers and start taking swings on my own project vehicles.

Great job! Well maybe to good for what this banana will be used for. I’m sure the first scratch, dent or ding happens we will cringe after seeing how much work went into this project but it’s worth it. Great seeing a young group taking pride in their work. Keep it and can’t wait to see the end result.

Great work you guys! I remember the 'hand thing' from my after-school job with a local panel beater... after graduating from sweeping out the workshop everyday, the first thing he taught me was to 'feel the panels' ...it's stuck with me for thirty years thus far. Happy Christmas!

That what I was thinking, lol! Robby is a master. If you've ever seen an amateur dent repair, you know he is good at this. Sees, feels, and knows exactly how to smooth it all out. It is NOT as easy as he makes it look.
