I am beyond excited to go to Korea for March and April next year. I’m finally leaving my toxic job of the past 12 years to go back to school and decided to give myself a MUCH needed vacation.
Very good news indeed!! I too am travelling to South Korea towards the end of March this year :D i'm so nervous. Although if anyone knows, what is the best way to travel from Dallas, TX to South Korea? I heard KoreanAir and Asian Airlines are the best but take about a day and half to get there(yikes).please help or let me know
Note! 22 countries have been exempt from K-ETA between April 1st 2023 to December 31st 2024. It’s listed on South Koreas national government website but for convenience i’ll paste it here: List of 22 countries/regions eligible for temporary exemption of K-ETA: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Macao, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, US (including Guam).
Your channel is going to be BIG! I wonder how I didn't come across your videos sooner. You are so so helpful, informative and straight to the point. Thank you sooo much!!
You have the best Korean YT channel for information and your channel is growing so fast. I am very happy for your success and happy to see that you've built a friendly and positive-minded community here.
Awww you’re so kind!! Thank you so much for the kind compliment and I’ll try my best to bring as much information as I can while loving others in the process! ❤️✨
You must have a valid U.S. passport to enter Korea. From April 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024, the Korean Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA) is not required for US citizens for stays of 90 days or less that are for tourism or business purposes. Answering my own question. 😅
im going the end of Feb next year! this video was suuuuper helpful so i really hope that you continue to keep us updated as covid rules changes. love you!!!
Again, amazing content for the viewers. It's so crisp and accurate. No need to go through the hassle of reading a lot of content or watch long videos explaining each individually, if anyone is in a hurry. Keep doing you!! You are doing great work!!.
Wait a minute, so South Korea is essentially giving you a 3 year visa as long as you do a visa run every 90 days? That's awesome! I had thought initially it was just a 90 day visa at which point you would need to leave and reapply for again. Thank you for all the very useful information!
Tried to use the link for K-ETA however US nationality is not a choice ( actually that site only offered applicants Asia/Pacific & Australia locations. Do you have another suggestion ( I leave 4/14/23 ), thank yoy
I’ll be flying to Seoul on 3rd November 2022 and have been binging on your videos for the past 2 weeks! Thank you so much for all the useful tips and info about korea! Can’t wait to travel there! 🇰🇷❤
This is why I'm so good in korea.. because of my beautiful bestie ❤️. This video will help so many people, and I know how hard you worked doing this... so proud of you megs 😊
Why do you come to South Korea, especially Seoul, where the only thing you want to see is the old palace, and the rip-off fee is unfriendly and boring, parking rumors, fine dust, and North Korea is trying to provoke you? I am Korean, but I am disillusioned with this country every day. But you are so pretty!! It's so beautiful!
I'm new in your channel. We are planning to go to Busan in Oct. 2024. Can you recommend best hotel near subway station and Heaundae beach. And recommendation on authentic restaurants and places to visit. Thank you and more power

Hi. Im a US citizen and will be in S Korea on Aug 13. Do you know of a young local female who is willing to show me around and does not mind being a photographer at the same time? Thank you.
Hello Megan! I just purchased your guide and wow it is so detailed!!! Thank you for making the time to explain in extreme detail every point and with pics! It will help me a lot for my trip to Seoul tomorrow! A smart purchase, super recommended for anyone planning to travel to South Korea! Thank you!

hi megan, enjoying your vidz as i prepare for our south korea trip at the end of the month. got a question about making reservations for the blue house - do i really need a local korean phone number to make reservations? is there no way around this? the website asks for a phone number to confirm, and i guess my US phone number isn't working. thanks for any info
Google maps will never be accurate in Korea because of safety reasons. Koreas still technically at war so they don’t want their maps displayed to everyone
This is so helpful! Thank you so much for creating content like this. It has always been a dream of mine to visit South Korea. I know I will go someday, God willing. This will keep me updated and prepared for my travels ahead! ❤️☺️🙏🏻
Megan hello and thank you. I am coming to South Korea end of May. I have a question about buying a SIM card. I have accessed the site you recommend trazy. But my question is this. I am planning on a trip for 90 day stay maximum I am allowed. Staying with family. I want to be able to use my phone while there, out and about not just in the home with their wi-fi. I have what’s app downloaded for calls back to husband. Which will be the best choice of cards to order? I’d like it delivered to me before leaving here. And do I need to re-fill service on it monthly since I’m planning 3 months?
Trazy SIM cards will allow you to use them for your whole trip - you’ll just need to email/contact them to recharge your card for the remaining months (you only pay for the first month/shipping upfront) ☺️ I’m hoping you’ll have wifi wherever you’re staying, but I would definitely recommend getting a card with a decent amount of data for each month if you desire to explore a lot outside of your home. That way you can make phone call via WhatsApp~ I’d say the safest card would be thePremium Lite 🫂 If you wanna save money, you could look into getting a wifi egg from Trazy as well. You’d be able to make calls from anywhere with the wifi egg as long as you’re using a messaging app. Here’s the wifi egg: www.trazy.com/experience/detail/portable-wifi-rental-korea?ref=MO1226&label=Wi-Fi Egg&ad_id=5740

Thank you for all of your videos! I just discovered your channel recently and the info you provide has been really helpful in preparing for my trip to Seoul (I'm going in 2 weeks!) - question for you - which wifi egg would you recommend? Thanks again for everything you do :)

Genuine question what if I plan on staying forever or for like a very long time like I’m years and I don’t have the money to keep traveling back and forth for visa can I just get something else or pay it while I’m in South Korea?
Would you still need to apply for K-ETA if you are not from visa-free country to SK? I know we need to apply for visa here in our country (Philippines) but am not sure if I still need the K-ETA. 😅

Hey fam, I was wondering when you were put in quarantine in S. Korea did you have to pay 14,000 dollars in medical fees? I’m worried about accidentally getting it because I don’t have that kind of money. I’ve been saving a long time for my trip.
Candice was just talking about staying out till sunrise until the subway and taxi services run again in the morning. I didn't think about Uber. Thanks for that tip!
Some great tips that have really helped with my trip to Seoul. Id highly recommend staying and spending more time in Hongdae rather than Itaewon. Much more of an authentic atmosphere in Hongdae both day & night.
Great video! So helpful. About the weather: how is Seoul in the first half of August? I know it'll be hot and humid, but is it doable with neckfans/umbrellas? Or is it just intolerable to be outdoors at all, especially midday? TIA!
Have you ever used luggage transportation services between cities (hotel to hotel) like they have in Japan? Made traveling the Shinkansen a lot easier. Thinking the same thing for the KTX.

Also once you have the T-MONEY card you can use it on Vending Machines - convenience store - Bus's - Taxis with the Tmoney or Cashbee logo affixed , just tell the driver your using it . :)
I have a video all about T-Money cards as well~ But you can buy them from the convenience stores inside of the airport terminals OR the T-Money card vending machines (all explained in my airport guide here --> ko-fi.com/s/2b7a24331e ☺) Thank you for taking the time to write such a helpful comment!!
