Tips for naver maps: do learn to read hangeul (and type it), it's easy to learn to read in korean, you can really get proficient in recognising letters in a matter of days. Naver maps menu is in English but a LOT of smaller places it won't find if you type the transliteration, like restaurants, cafes you want to visit and even some landmarks and sights. I made a map for myself where I pinned the things I want to visit and many times I had to type the names in hangeul for Naver maps to actually find them. you can color code the pins and landmark your accommodation as Home, so you will always be able to quickly devise a route. you cna also favorite buses in it, so you can easily find the transportation you need to use. I checked the routes to all attractions I want to go to and favorited the buses so I would only need to pull their schedules up from the favorites menu. do note that some menu parts of naver maps remains in Korean.
Thank you UA-cam for recommending Steve's videos 😂 and Thank you Steve for this very informative content. I wasn't aware of the Climate Card until I watched this... will be travelling to Seoul next month with my family and this is very helpful.
I had high level idea to travel to SK next year but then your instructions vido has excited me to visit it for sure , thanks for being so detailed, slow :)
Hello! Thanks a lot for your videos, so helpful! I'm traveling to Korea in September (68 days, but who is counting?) and your videos are great! I'm now convinced about the Wowpass, just a question, the only option to charge the T-Money part of the Wowpass is the machines at the stations? No convenience store options? I will definitely have a look at the tours and the Hwahae website. Thanks a lot for all your videos and help 😊
Hi Steve, great video! All tips are very helpfull! We will be travelling with our 11year old daughter to Korea in three weeks and we are already very exited! Would you recommend us to buy a discovery pass are we are not only stay in Seoul?
You are quite welcome and thanks for watching! - depends on how much you wanna see in Seoul - you can get a list of the complete activities covered under discover Seoul on their website I have previously done a travel pass comparison if you want to check that out - ua-cam.com/video/zAVb3a22LCc/v-deo.htmlsi=DwguVaibMtbJi8tC
At 9:47 you mentioned that you found your local bank gave you the best exchange rate before you left, but how did you know the exchange rate in Seoul before you got there?
Loving your videos! Quick question. I will be going to Korea for two weeks. Would it be possible to buy a new 7 day climate card after the first is expired?
Excellent videos. But I have so much trouble with Naver map because the places I find on Google and I try to put into Naver the names or addresses . They Naver sometimes do not recognized it.
Thank you for the video! I need to go and watch the first one too, but I wanted to ask: are pets usually allowed on public transportation and Kakao Taxi? Thank you!
Hi! thanks for watching, I did a bit of research Only small pets are permitted on public transportation as long as they are kept inside a pet carrier or bag at all times, and do not make other passengers feel uncomfortable. Enjoy your trip and dont forget to subscribe =)
Hello, thank you for your video ! I have a question about the WOWpass : my mom and I are planning on renting a car in Jeju-do, but we have been told that we should rent it prior to our arrival, on the website of the company. If we do this with a debit card before our trip, do you know if we can still pay the caution with the WOWpass or if it should be with the same card ? And do you know if Revolut (or any other Mastercard) would work to rent a car in Jeju-do ? Thank you for your time.
I will be in SK in October. I will be in Seoul for 2 days, Jeju 3 nights, Busan 3 nights & 9 nights again in Seoul. Do I need to buy T Card & Climate Card? TIA😊
@@PhatLifeProjectno you did not ! You just made promotion for a eSIM provider which is more expensive than Koreans telecom providers in Incheon Airport.
