    It's fun to watch you work and amusing to watch you fumble as you learn! One thing about directional tires to remember is when you rotate them they need to move front to rear only. Once a tire changes left to right side the direction of rotation changes. Your arrows will be wonky again.

    Haven't done a van build, but I've built three separate and unique bouldering walls over time. The first was very elaborate, the second was in a 12'x18' cabin in Canmore that I lived in for six years, and the third was in a very high ceiling shed. All of them involved an inordinate amount of staring, both before, during and after. It's kind of like letting your mind percolate, and then rest.

    If you lower the 15l tank then you can put the old 10l tank above it. Then you can put a ball valve on the bottom of the 10l tank gravity fill the 15l tank from the 10l tank. Might be useful for those longer trips away, gives you two independent tanks and saves wasting the old 10l tank.

    Oh my gosh I didn’t know tires had rotation directions.

    • @bryancohn9406
      @bryancohn9406 3 роки тому

      Not all tires are rotational, in fact it’s a bit odd to see tires like that on a small van. Usually by having normal tires you can rotate them without worry.

    • @99Isopropyl
      @99Isopropyl 3 роки тому +2

      I've really only seen rotation on winter tires.

    • @mattv5281
      @mattv5281 3 роки тому

      I think it's more common for winter tires. The best way to tell is to look closely for a direction arrow on the tires. If there's none, they are probably non directional. From a distance you can sometimes tell by the shape of the tread. The grooves in directional tread will often make a big V shape across the tire when viewed from the front. Non directional tread might have more of a "~" shape or a "#" shape to the grooves.
      If it's directional, it usually has something to do with how the tire pushes water or snow out from under it. So it won't work as well in reverse because the water/snow will fill up the grooves. That's a bit of an oversimplification, and I'm sure there's more to it, but hopefully that helps.

    I watched the video where you were stuck on a housing estate in horrendous snow conditions, may i offer a bit of driving advice.
    In snow/icy conditions ensure your wheels are straight as you start to move gently turn. If your wheels are not straight there
    is a tendency for wheel slip and causing you to get stuck, try it and confirm. Enjoying your output, best wishes Mike, County Durham UK. ( ps i am doing a nissan 200 van build now )

    Hi Kira, did you experience any diesel leaks from the multiple joints along the fuel line from the tank to the heater ? I just finished assembling mine and I have not yet filed the tank. I am not sure of how tight the clamps can take .. too much torque may compress the fuel line to little may produce a leak ....
