Join us in person for a Sunday service at 9:30amET at Grace Community Church located at Grace Farms (365 Lukes Wood Road New Canaan CT, 06840).
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Funny, I was raised an atheist, became a spiritualist, and then finally got saved by Jesus without ever having set foot in a true Church, I had been in a Kingdom hall once as a child, and a Catholic church twice as a child, but when I asked God for a true sign, He literally led me to a sign which said Repent to Jesus; then I realized the truth was stranger than fiction, and when I accepted Him, my whole mind set changed, you cannot say I was taught or indoctrinated or even coerced into my decision, 21 years later and I still know Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

Wow you think you were lead to a sign which said Repent... so you became a Christian. If you saw a sign saying Ramadan would you have become a Muslim. It's fuzzy thinking like this where people ask for a sign in a predominantly Christian country and they drive past a church and see a sign. Ridiculous

@@infra_r3d133 - And what if he is not? Hebrews commands us not to forsake the assembling together as some had grown accustomed to doing. This passage mentions nothing of church as we know it today. The New Testament word for church is ( the ekklesia ) or " Called Out Ones ". They met in homes, broke bread together, discipled men, women & children there in the Highways, Byways, and Back-Alleyways of this world that God still so loves! Recorded for all to see in the book of Acts. There is ((0)) buildings built called churches in the word of God. Then we were never commanded in scripture to plant them either. Our command was and still is this: " make disciples of all nations " Christ will then take those disciples made and form His local congregations making still more disciples to impact the world for the kingdom of God. Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Timothy 2:1-2, 1 Thessolonians 3:8, John 3:22, Acts 1:8, John 15:8.

Whether its old books, letters from 18 year old military men in WW1, public debates, even trading barbs and insults - it was far classier and vastly more intelligent. Robert Louis Stevenson’s young-adult books are complex literature for most people today.
We have been systematically dumbed down by culture, media, image, schools, and probably diet and pharmaceuticals as well.

Every person I've quizzed on what they hear when the Holy Spirit talks to them has said that they hear God in their thought voice. The difference between the personal thought voice and God's voice in our own thought voice is the guidance it provides in a calm, intelligent, and orderly fashion.

this is what He said about the Holy Spirit one day and about the validity of speaking in tounges," *Do not whales cry out for their young? can I not cry out for my people."*
when i looked it up, i found out that
some whales can emit low frequency sounds can travel more than 10,000 miles.
Humans can hear only part of the whales' sounds.
i once heard an oceanographer question as to why whales 🐋 make certain sounds, and when i heard that they were calling out to their missing young, it was amazing 😁.

God created satan to create choice for humans to choose a life with god or a life seperate from god because being a robot with no free will to choose wether or not to love him is not really love, he wants a relationship with you that goes both ways, choosing, sacrifice... sacrifice is love
Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross, spilled his blood to forgive us for our sins, we can sacrifice our sinful ways. come and repent, come to god with these sins and give them to him, ask for forgiveness and drive yourself and stay in his word to be a better humbler human, remember you are but a tiny inconcievably small and weak, imperfect creature that is shortlived under the sun. but god still sees himself in you and loves you enough to pull you up out of the earthly muck, he can make you eternal, we can be family, his family. jesus is the truth the way and the life, choose him, praise god.

Think about that from gods perspective.
This free will to choose a life with or without god obviously affects other people negatively thus is one of the biggest problems with sin, the things in this world that make you suffer will make you stronger in him, the pain will bring reward if you stand tall in his word, live and breathe in it.
Because god loves the humans in this world, he sacrificed jesus to die a painful death on a wooden cross with nails in his head and his arms pegged to the beam spilling out his blood for all of us to be forgiven for our sins, it is in him that we find salvation, remember this.

Cliffe is spot on about feelings. Many are unaware that we can make an idol out of feelings. We do this when we end up loving the good feelings God gives us. This leads to loving God for our sake. Rather, we need to love God for who God is, which leads us to love God rightly--for His sake. I might add also that sometimes it feels good to do something bad. Yes, be leery of feelings.

But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away." (Mt 13:20-21). Feelings are like a baby's bottle--we rely on it for a while, but the time must come when we move on to the solid food of the cross. When our faith and love of Jesus are mature, then we will forsake feelings and endure the cross for His sake. Only then will He know, and we know, that we love him rightly. @@shilah6855

      @Thatdude126 2 місяці тому

@@jasonnoble7302 ok homie, I see you’ve been around here for a bit asking questions, so I’m gonna answer and then give another take. So Evil in general exist because we as humans have free will. Hunger and starvation? Most Americans live a pretty Kush life and have the ability to give both extra money and food, but we don’t. War and greed? Too profitable, money is god and I don’t like you for this specific reason so I’m gonna wipe you out, which is also pride thinking you’re better than this person. Regardless evil is perpetuated by man just as good is perpetuated by man, by keeping it around. Now why doesn’t God stop the evil? He’s all knowing and all powerful, with a snap of his fingers he could end it all right? Well God chooses not too out of love for us. Thought experiment: good guy kills bad guy. Good right? No, this is bad. Bad guy could have killed forty people but good guy bringing it upon himself to kill him is just as bad as the forty. Because both removed someone’s ability to grow closer to god within time. The correct answer would be to show the bad guy the error of his ways, allow him to repent and grow closer with God allowing him to follow Gods will for his life, And time is the reason god loves us. God created time so we as humans are redeemable, a single sin outside of time ie. Satan is unforgivable which is why that dude is currently in the situation he’s in. So that is why evil is allowed on earth so that we may choose love over evil and follow gods will for our life and be redeemed. Now my speculation part. You have said you’ve only received one good Answer from a Christian, why is that? Do you have some form of religious trauma? If that’s the case I would say don’t follow religion, follow Christ. Some sects of Christianity and Christian’s tend to forget about Christ and teach their own thing. Did you lose someone close to you? I am sorry if that is the case and I know the feeling, I would say read the story of job and know that god does feel your pain, John 11:35 “Jesus wept”. Do you think you have a better answer than God? That would be pride and Also read job for this and see the vastness of what God understands vs what we as a human are able to understand. Regardless all of that is speculation and I could have missed why entirely. But I will implore you to give God a chance. Read the Bible, and go meet other followers in person. Also watch more UA-cam videos on why to believe. God does love you, but he’s not going to force you to accept that love because love isn’t forceful. Also start praying simple as “ God I don’t believe in you but I’m willing to humble myself to believe in you”. All of this is forming your own personal relationship with God. Two things I know god brings to every life is peace and purpose, god bless my friend.

I was raised Christian but became an atheist and agnostic from 2017-2019 as a teenager dealing with mental health issues until I started reading my Bible again after my music teacher gave me his red Bible I read it from Genesis to Revelation. I would call Cliffe Knechtle and his family heroes because people like that look out for believers and unbelievers alike as human beings whether they agree, disagree or disrespectfully disagree. AMEN most people aren't looking for The Truth but feeling better or superior to others🙏👊❤️. We're all sinners trying to do Good or Evil in our actions and intentions. After reading The Bible in it's context I realized that The 7 Days of Creation in Genesis are actually 7 thousand years as a Day to The Lord God is a thousand years as Psalm and 2 Peter says so the Earth is actually older than 14 thousand years old so it could be millions to billions of years old. I'm glad brothers Cliffe and Stuart Knechtle's Apologetics ministry still going strong in 2024 after all these decades. After studying science I realized that Evolutionary biology from common ancestry has nothing to do with believing in a Creator we call God but it's a tool used by Atheists, agnostics and secular people to promote their own godless community and agenda against Christianity. Atheists and secular humanists are guilty of promoting a nihilistic reality where everyone and everything is objectively meaningless because of and in spite of religion and Atheism. This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college student. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.
Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years
ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " On The Origin of Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology as an origin whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of macro evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant.

I love listening to these public discussions at universities, but man, it seems like the student climate has changed. I'm sure someone has already made this observation/comment, but it is wild to me listening in on this talk from the 90s (?)- students attentively listening, asking insightful and thoughtful questions, no one protesting or trying to get him to go to a "free speech zone" or calling campus security because they are offended. When I look around at the students, they really are listening and engaged with what he's saying. Something has radically shifted in our universities. If anyone has seen any of Doug Wilson's talks on various campuses, it is nuts how the students react to him.

"If you were born X, that's why you believe Y."
Such a failed argument. If that were true, everyone in the entire world would believe the same thing, because we all started with common ancestry. Unsurprisingly, the opposite is true. Children rebel against what their parents teach them all the time. People get tired of living in one country/culture, so they move to another, bringing along bits of where they came from and forming completely new cultures.
One could just as easily ask anyone who makes that argument, "Okay, so why should I believe you since that's how you were brought up?" Of course, the person making that argument will always claim an exemption for him or her self. They of course see themselves as objective and able to see the truth, unlike all the other people who do not agree with them.

On the whole "why didnt God create us in heaven," question. I cant speak for God, but I personally think he would have created us there if he didnt have the foresight to know that we still had the potential to sin since he created us with free will. I think that ultimately we wouldve shared the same fate as Lucifer if he had created us there. Lucifer cannot be forgiven because his transgression happened in eternity, which encompasses everything from the past, present, and future. God knew we would eventually make a wrong move, and wanted to make sure we had a way we could eventually be forgiven. Which is why he created us in time, and not excluded from it, so we could be forgiven before we reached eternity and consequently meaning we hopefully wouldnt share the same fate as his once beloved fallen angel.

Well, believe it or not, you're partially right? Because you don't understand scripture, but otherwise you're wrong. If you mean if you mean there's no God, there's no existence after death. Oh, you're definitely wrong. However, there's one part you're right about the littley the moment you die because, the dead know nothing.
You're right, they're going to be asleep. Just dead in the ground. They're not going to know anything. They're gonna be in darkness temporarily, but they will see, they will open their eyes again. That's because when you're dead, you don't know time. If we did for a thousand years till christ comes, you wouldn't know it because you'd be dead.
However, there's one part you're right about the literal moment you die, because the dead know nothing you're right, they're going to know, just dead in the ground, they're not going to know anything they're gonna be in darkness temporarily. But you see that's, because when you're dead, you don't know time, if we are dead for a 1000 years till Christ comes and you would not know it because you'd be dead.
But you see Christ is coming soon. But whether you died 10 years ago a 1000 years ago or yesterday. Time stands still or free to the dead though. That it's the same amount of time. They're in a sense of sleep. Which is also shown in the Scriptures. So when Jesus Christ does come soon in the clouds and they're raised from the dead, the first thing they'll see when they open their eyes is Christ in the clouds and that's a beautiful thing.
Now I know you don't understand that. Or you once did and chose to know not, or not believe or know it to be true. It's true just the same and Heaven does exist, but so doesn't people's judgment for the Lake of fire which is not burning forever? There is no eternal burning hell, but a Lake of fire. One day will exist for those who choose to be lost. That's free, will that is what is true Love and free will.

I am 56. I have heard the audible voice of God several times over the years. The first time I was 32. However, even though it has been several times it has still been very rare. There has been many times I wanted to hear a clear audible answer desperately but have not. So it is not like having a special line to God or anything. I can say I’ve never got anything from Him that contradicts the Bible. Also, as another indicated, it is usually something very profound that leaves you meditating on it for years. I have also had dreams and visions which also leave a tremendous impact for years. God can speak in many ways. I have had different seasons but I think the most common way for me has been through a man of God. I sincerely pray and ask something specific and then it is quickly answered through a pastor. Just be very earnest, sincere, honest with yourself and with God when you pray. If you are a born again believer in Jesus Christ you will have access to this relationship with the Father. He will hear and respond to your prayers. What that looks like could be different at different times but I believe you will know when you just got your answer rather it is audible or not.

I know an atheist whos whole upbringing was without any religion. Not until he was 45 he told me he felt the holy spirit fill him. It was an acknowledgement of God, he is now a baptised Christian.
I was Christianed as an infant but i was never taken to church, we didnt even have a bible in the house. I knew the 'story' of jesus but it didnt effect me. I was agnostic to it all and didnt have a care. But from no personal effort to search but just internalised thinking about if god is real, is jesus God. So a prayed to Jesus to give me some sign Hes real. I had an overwhelming sense of peace and warmth fill my entire body, i just knew it was Jesus sending me the holy spirit. I had lost my mother at the beginning of the year several month earlier and after feeling the holy spirit I just was thinking of my mum and hoping shes with Jesus literally within 2 minutes of that thought I had an invitation to go to a church. Ive never had anything to do with any churches in my life. It felt like a sign that Jesus was answering my prayers and helping me to get to know him. It pushed me to get a bible and read his word, and I wanted and felt like I needed to go to church. I had an insatiable need to know jesus more and more. Infact I believe this world pushes us NOT to believe in Jesus.
Its Jesus himself that brings us to him.

I've been listening to George Janko's podcast where you two answered some of the most interesting and important question asked about christianity for a project I've been working on for school and I couldn't help but ask myself , if a person was muslim for example , and they started listening on the internet about christianity and watching masses online , but didn't convert to christianity , would that affect their path at the end of their lives ? in other words , if they did what was mentioned earlier , would that prevent them from eternal darkness away from god after death ? I've been leaning into the idea that christianity is a lifestyle more than it is a religion , as it is the act of being with Christ in everything we do in our lives , would this person mentioned before in the view of this idea be essentially christian ? if not , then please by all means explain it to me so that I could understand more .

5:19 "Because if there is no God, you reduce reality to matter and energy."
He is neglecting how human perception works. The concepts of matter and energy are tools we use to understand and predict observations for particular purposes. However, we don't have a model of reality that would allow us to practically use it to predict or make use of it in our social lives. That is to say it isn't sensible to suggest anyone boils down their understanding of everything to "matter and energy". For understanding what it is to be human (and our definition of existing as a human) includes our subjective experience and perception.
