When I was a little girl I had a grandmother who would sew without a pattern for all the grandkids. When I became a mom years later, she would sew clothes for my little girl without a pattern. She also would do quilting. I still have the things she made for my little girl who is now a 45 year old woman. That kind of talent is a lost art and long gone....I found that talent in YOU!!!! Wow!!! I have always admired you, Miss Toya, as a doll crafter. I did not know you also sew to the nth as you do. Mattel- Are you listening???? You should definitely hire Miss Toya. Your sales would soar!!!!!! Be blessed, Toya.
@@animalcrossingnerd8142 Hi. The only thing I can sew is Barbie doll clothes. I also buy my Barbie doll clothes from Etsy and Ebay. I find the vintage Barbie clothes I prefer for my Barbies. I don't mind pink but want a large selection.
I am currently making Barbie clothes for my 8 year old Grand-daughter. Did a shoe box full for 2 Grand-daughter's years ago too for Christmas. As far as l know they still have them. I am also making for selling as well. Have 2 for sure ordering and one possible. Actually getting a table this year at our year doll show this year for the first time. I also make clothes for 14", 18" and baby doll clothes. Sewn, knitted and crocheted as well.
If you wash the cotton first in hot water even by hand and let it dry, it will be slightly different afterwards. Might even be less stiff. These are great projects as usual!
I love the DIY clothes, especially these no pattern ones. I have lots of 1/6th scale dolls that aren't Barbie, and they could use a little more fashion in their mini lives.
For people who need it as easy as possible, I recommend making these dresses from T-shirt fabric, which will not fray so it doesn't necessarily need hemming. For a more glam look they do sell knit fabrics at the store that have shimmery prints on them! Tulle would also be good for the overskirts, and often comes with wonderful designs.
I have bought several Barbies lately, who naturally have no clothes! I’m so happy to have found your channel. You make it so easy to sew dresses with a rectangle and darts for a good fit. God bless You!!!
I love your sewing videos, I grew up learning to sew from you, I’ve now made lots of dresses for the girl I babysit. She loves them and I have fun doing it for her!
I think the black and gold dress with asymmetrical skirt might be my favorite. But i'm also a HUGE fan of the silky dress with interchangeable bow and train! I can think of a lot of ways of using that technology!
Love these mini doll dresses! Simple but also super fancy!! I would’ve loooved to see one more dress cause these ideas were so cool like I thought if you did make one it goes down at the kneecap level and then has a shirt that goes almost all the way down so then it make a seventh look where it’s a mermaid dress!
That's a great idea! It would work with an even hem, or an asymmetrical one. It would look good floor length, or shorter. You could even make something similar to put around the waist, to look like a peplum skirt!
I love these tutorials. I needed this so I can make some Christmas dresses for a friend’s dolls she use for a diorama. A little tip for you; when you are hemming a circle use a basting stitch around the edge, then you can pull up the basting thread so you don’t get those little tucks.
I know I'm late but I just wanted to write that your ideas are incredible. You made me think about doing multiple-in-one clothing or even the whole sets that can be exchanged and mixed together. Your video is very nice to watch and I love how you included mistakes because for beginners it's good to know that sewing often requires redoing :D
The shimmery purple dress is STUNNING , and when I saw the skirt/dress combo, I instantly thought it would make a great wedding dress with reception dress once the skirt is taken off. You are so talented, keep up the amazing work!
I just got a sewing machine, I have been watching your videos for a while now. Just don. Have a table yet. I love your videos. Can’t wait to use my machine,I to have been sewing with out a pattern. For my dolls. Tried to make the couch, didn’t work out right so I use it as a bed. I can’t wait to see your newest videos. Keep the great awesome work u make and sew
This ended up adorable 😍😍😍😍 Keep up the good work and never quit I love your channel I’ve been a fan since I was 6-7 Now I’m 9 I’m a half love your content myfroggystuff!!!
I love watching your dress making videos better than your room ones because I am not that good at creating rooms but sewing outfits for me it turns out really good sometimes I even make inspired outfits of your inspired outfits 😄
You make me laugh when you realize you skipped a step and growl at the fabric. That is totally me. I've done a few sock clothes for my Barbies; I have a petite and a curvy. I'm constantly underestimating the cloth, hence the petite girl has been the recipient of most of my projects. I am repurposing tee shirts and love working the jersey knit. I used some fuzzy socks and made a pajama/lounge set for petite girl. I have been acquiring several fat quarter patterns, but as of yet have not attempted any sewing. I like your idea of making a sheath dress and then adding separates to enhance the designs. You have lots of great ideas!
I love you My Froggy stuff💜, you made my childhood beautiful I remember watching your videos late at night I would sneak my moms phone and watch your videos in the kitchen with my dolls, I remember making sneakers and furniture for my doll.(I was 12 back then now I am 21)
That purple plaid one I need right now. But thank you for taking some of my anxiety off making doll clothes. I love rainbow/shadow high but there's not a lot of clothes options for them especially if you want something in a different color.
I dont know if you call this a tutorial bc im watching with volume mute. its so relaxing to watch. i dont know if you stated measurements but i will defo be making some of these dresses. Good job!
Hey, Toya! With a 4th (3rd? not sure which it is) wave of Barbie Looks dolls on the way and one of the Ken dolls being on a superhero body, could you do a tutorial on how to make pants for that body type (or a broad Ken)? I'm trying to work up the nerve to try my hand at sewing and would like to make some bottom fashions for my broad/superhero body Kens. Thank for all that you do and stay creative and crafty! Your uploads always brighten my day!
Cute dresses. My Grandma started to teach me to sew by hand when l was 5 years old. I use to design my own Barbie clothes by hand when l got a little older. I now own a doll she owned and since there are no patterns to make clothes for her l have to design my own dresses for her. I have made her a outfit for each holiday including stocking since l can’t find the plastic heels she use to have.
Amazing! Wow! Just how? You just keep outdoing yourself and me. Ha! Love it and love you too!❤🥰❤ Now you can ask yourself, what should I wear? So many to choose from...😂😍❤
LOL Toya if you can do that so easily with scrap fabric and no pattern. Can you teach Mattel to do it too? You show that it's not that hard or that expensive to have great doll clothes. Those outfits are so much better than most of the Barbie fashions that have come out for the past few years, with a few exceptions. 😉
@@Marialla. No, you're right Marialla. And I may complain about Mattel, but they're the company I mostly buy from. I just meant that if Toya can make stylish looking clothes like that so easily. Then I think Mattel could put out a few too. Even without the tailoring, they still could try a little harder to give us something pretty to buy. I just miss when you could buy the good looking fashions in a fashion pack from Mattel to dress the dolls in. I don't know your age, so you may not remember this. But Mattel used to make this fashions line called "Fashion Avenue" and they were pretty special looking. Kind of like Toya's dresses.💖
Fabulous creations! I love the satin dress with the removable train! I made some pillows yesterday, my sewing is getting better. I might try to make a dress next! 🧵🌺❤️

my grandma was the same, she would make all her barbies tradional Cambodian clothes by hand no pattern no nothing just skills 😊
🖤
I wish Mattel would make realistic clothes not these pink and white clothes.

I love that last dress. I might have to try making it was just a plain brown or blue fabric. It has a medieval look to me.
I have such a difficult time finding small print plaid. The one you used in fall colors is so cute!
Thanks! I got that one from Joann’s a few years ago … I think 🤔 😅
Try shopping the mens shirt department at your local thrift store!
There are many quality fabrics there you can use for dolls.
I got printable fabric and printed my own.
Look for handkerchiefs or napkins! They are smaller items so they have smaller prints.

These are all adorable. Definitely going to try a few.

Thank you so much!
Really appreciate the way you explain everything!
Absolutely love all of these dresses! You are so creative, and talented. I think my favorite one was witch style costume you did with the dress.

These were all nice. If you have enough leftover plaid, you can make mini Toya a shaket.
Those dreses looks awsooooome

All the dresses are amazing but the final one is incredible ❤❤
