I too use to make my doll clothes with socks. Of course that was about 55 years ago. I would take my dads socks to make their pants, my mom was a seamstress so I used all the tricks of the trade to have great doll clothes. I love how you explain what you're doing. Very educational.

I'm really impressed by your hand sewing on such a stretchy fabric! I tried making a sock sweater for a doll once but i wasn't very patient so i managed to pull at the fabric while sewing and it unintentionally looked like a sloppy lettuce hem 😅patience is key and i might be inspired to retry by this lovely tutorial! I love the idea of using socks to make some cute doll dresses. I can't sew anything good I never been taught how to sew. I could ask my grandma if she can teach me. I actually did make a cute little sock dress for my baby bop figure and i just cut holes for the head, arms and her tail. I included a belt to tie it together and color it to make it cuter. It is my attempt but it does look adorable on her.
