@1:14 - Google might as well put a picture of an extended middle finger on that battery, along with a caption: 'What, you wanted a user replaceable battery, well FUCK YOU!' :P There must be a sadist over at Google, cackling madly to himself.
+Gideon Waxfarb I imagine that they don't want people to buy off brand batteries that may short (or worse the Li battery explode due to poor manufacturing) and ruin their phone. But taking off the back panel and removing a few screws seems easy enough for any with a 00 phillips and an OEM battery.
+Jesse McClure perhaps because a easily replaceable battery require diffrent connectors and integration of circuitry for charging etc upping the cost and lessening the margins.
+Jesse McClure What I heard that it is partly because of fake batteries. On the old phones, you could easily replace a battery when the old one became unusable - but you almost always got a choice to make - you buy the original (which by the way, didn't have to be the original at all, just another fake), or a cheap one that just fits in. Many people bought the cheap ones, which broke after a while, and the users complained on the devices instead on the battery maker. And when the users bought a original one, like Samsung, they still had the chance of getting a fake anyway - fake batteries to phones is massive business. Therefore the phones didn't work how they should, they even burnt, lessening the value of that brand; let's say of Samsung. Manufacturers decided to keep the placement of batteries into the device in house. That's one of the factors I know off, and it sounds pretty logical.
Great video, I wish manufacturers who choose not to have a removable battery, provide easier access to the battery. Just because, they wear down and need replacing!
1:16 ..What if third party manufacturers create a similar flex cable that has battery pin connector instead of directly connecting to battery? And then create replaceable batteries for it? ;)
I wonder if there's a way to add a wireless charging sticker to the battery, now that's we've seen that the back comes out easily and that the battery cable is user accessible...
Is it possible to replace ear speaker mesh cover only? Can ot be bought seperately? Mine got scratched and I would rather not buy a new front panel just for this.
+planetbintang In practice, USB 2.0 should be plenty fast for the capacity that the phone offers. The old standards top speed of 480Mbps equals 60 megabytes per second or 3.6 gigabytes in a minute, which is probably faster than most phones' internal storage. It's all about implementation. For example, on my Note 3 with USB 3.0 interface, I only get around 10MBps with USB 2.0 and about 50MBps with USB 3.0, both shy of the maximum theoretical USB 2.0 transfer speeds.
The delorean easter egg, awesome
that hot wheels
Is the Delorean part of the time circuit?
Loved the B2TF Delorean's in the end

Nah, they just hate their customers :P
:p
That battery is a troll. It looks like you can pry it out. I bet someone is going to do that without seeing the cable lol.
it already happened
what is the point of not making the battery user replaceable? same goes for the 1+1/2 THE BACKS ARE ONLY HELD ON WITH CLIPS SO, WHY NOT!?
+Jesse McClure perhaps because a easily replaceable battery require diffrent connectors and integration of circuitry for charging etc upping the cost and lessening the margins.
+Jesse McClure I mean, it's easier than any other Nexus device before.

is there any permanent solution for the nexus 5x bootloop issue?
One point worth mentioning, there's no underfill been used making it much easier to replace the BGA devices.
When r u going to tear down z5 premium,
Eager to see the heatpipes..
What's that large light grey patch on the inside of the back cover at 1:12?
+Oliver Hamilton I would say it's probably the NFC tag.
So when are you tearing down the 6P? :)
Watching this on a Nexus 5x :)
Awesome Host As Usual
👌👌👌👌
I might need to change the back cover. Where can I buy it?
I thought the 5x does not have electronic image stablization (eis)

can you a video on the moto x pure endition
how did you guys snap open the case so easily? experience? yea... I guess so :(
EDIT: does it void the warranty if I take the case off?
it does void the warranty
You may find a little car for your kid if you crack open the 5X xD

Why can't other companies make the internals pretty like Apple does?
Apple make their shit 3X as expensive, so they can.

Usb-C but the transfer data just like usb 2.0 ?!?

i c then, thanks (y)
Do The 6p
if its 2.0 its not type c its reversible micro usb
No, the connector is the same as USB C although it's slower. Reversible Micro USB is a thing.
do you guys think we can put nexus 5x battery into nexus 5?
+Huang Mingyuan No it's a stronger battery.
Stronger battery? It's just bigger battery? You already can put lg g2 battery into nexus 5 with some mod
all phones get reparability score of 7 why is that ?
Not too bad
Hermosa Turned off Replies, but Apple can make their shit nice inside because they charge 3x the cost.
First!
