I love this idea. Updating old red stone builds to a modern design is fantastic, even if I can’t build them exactly the same on bedrock. It at least gives me the idea and the basic workings of the systems.

I think other than the cauldron one which was ahead of it's time the rest mostly suffered from UA-cam. Your channel was much smaller back then and the contraptions were not things people ever though to search for on their own. That said I think a few of them might not be pants but perhaps they are shorts instead.
For what it's worth, these little "random" contraptions are a lot more useful than walking houses or complicated combination locks. I really do love these little bits of redstone that add detail and a little intricacy to your base.
Mumbo doesnt have the base that needs THAT amount of things that he wants in his base. Amount of things that are not fitting in the base will be so enormous that I dont even think it fits in this comment

Seeing the stairs trick genuinely brought joy to my day' which has been a no good day (I’m sick) It’s insane how Minecraft’s mechanics allow for such cool manipulation you would never think of
For the "surfing safe drop" Mumbo should make one in last life, but make it where there is a way to turn it off after you go through it. Then when he is Boogeyman, he could tell someone he wants to show them something, go down the safe drop and be like "isn't this cool??" Turn it off, and then when the other person tries to go through it, they fall to their death
If they die to fall damage, the bogeyman isn’t in cured. He would have to take them down to very low health and then kill them. (It would work though, if he was in red)

The sequenced fire wall would be a great addition to the armchair. Either when you first come through the door or as an entrance way to the corner office.
The first firepit combined with the wall sequence (the firepit being the last in the sequence at the end of a hallway) would make for [probably] a very wonderful entrance animation to a base.

The lava cauldron storage is actually really useful because you wouldn't have to worry about needing coal for your furnaces ever again. Lava can smelt up to 100 items.
Man imagine setting up a skulk sensor under that water droplet dropper so that it sent down a pillar of water when, and _only_ when by using a closer skulk sensor on OR sensor, you were below it. Or possibly whenever you shot a sensor. Either or you know?

I can actually see a few functional uses for turning on/off the fire pit. If that pit was designed as a place to burn mobs to death and then collect the resources, with a few modifications the on/off option could be used to toggle the farm as manual or fully AFK. I would love to see what Mumbo could do with that mechanic in any mob farm, actually.
You could just put hoppers beneath the fires and it will pull all drops through after killing the mobs. That's how many 'cat filters' on Bedrock iron farms work.

It can be difficult to position a piston correctly when you accidentally break one inside of a build. Paired up with observers that are also directional and you might end up removing an entire segment as a chain reaction just to replace them correctly.
I would say all of them have been improved so much, that ... I actually want all of them in my base. Please make a tutorial for the lava farm, exactly like that!
If you have a bit of redstone knowledge, you can make it yourself. Make a piston feed tape of cauldrons with the lava, and a comparator runs from the button. This comparator is monitered by an observer, which makes the sticky piston spit out the cauldron/catch it, and also triggers the feed tape at a delay.
@@onyxgan9923 it is still simple. Listen me out. A broken ring of redstone dust below the pistons connected to them, with a repeater on three ticks on each side. You saw Mumbo's placement of the pistons. All you need is to press the button. The final sticky piston fires from an observer at the end.

I like how a couple days ago, I posted on Mumbo's cauldron storage system video, lauding it for how useful it was for my own lava cauldron system. I ran through a couple problems with it getting stuck if it came across an empty cauldron. Did a manual fix (with a button press), then an automatic fix that would cause cauldrons to cycle after a second (literally the day before yesterday) then got to work on incorporating it to my filling system (yesterday) ...and saw this video today.
10:40 I mean, in your new base you definitely have room on Hermicraft. Not only that, it would add a layer of futuristic nature into the mix. So why not? Edit: Also I would love to see more of this. Every build is a 10/10

First one -7/10 cool for decoration for builds Second- 2/10 still pretty useless Third- 8/10 cool for hallways Forth- 9.5/10 the most useful out of them all especially in a manual furnace array Fifth- 5/10 just jumping into water is faster but bonus for style points
The minecart one is pretty cool tho, the old version was defo bad, but the new one is pretty good, an automatic minecart launch? saves time in the long run.
Took me a bit of tweaking but I’ve now got the Fancy Fire Lighting design from 5:58 in the video working in my Xbox redstone world, I will be incorporating it into my future builds, thanks for the idea Mumbo!
Only downside is that they now need a two block space between them, the difference between Bedrock redstone behaviour and Java redstone behaviour is really annoying. 😭
Omg, I still remember the cauldron swapper!!! Despite all the cool redstone builds including the walking bases etc, I still think that invention is the coolest, Mumbo!!! I feel soooo nostalgic about it. I remember copying it in my old mc world and I couldn't stop activating it with big admiration... the thing that it activates automatically using the comparator just drove me crazy!!

I can actually see a few functional uses for turning on/off the fire pit. If that pit was designed as a place to burn mobs to death and then collect the resources, with a few modifications the on/off option could be used to toggle the farm as manual or fully AFK. I would love to see what Mumbo could do with that mechanic in any mob farm, actually.

You could just put hoppers beneath the fires and it will pull all drops through after killing the mobs. That's how many 'cat filters' on Bedrock iron farms work.

Build 3 could actually use skulk sensors in a hallway so as you walk down the lights turn on. It would make some cool replay footage. This could solve my issue of sucking at redstone

It can be difficult to position a piston correctly when you accidentally break one inside of a build. Paired up with observers that are also directional and you might end up removing an entire segment as a chain reaction just to replace them correctly.

If you have a bit of redstone knowledge, you can make it yourself. Make a piston feed tape of cauldrons with the lava, and a comparator runs from the button. This comparator is monitered by an observer, which makes the sticky piston spit out the cauldron/catch it, and also triggers the feed tape at a delay.

@@onyxgan9923 it is still simple. Listen me out. A broken ring of redstone dust below the pistons connected to them, with a repeater on three ticks on each side. You saw Mumbo's placement of the pistons. All you need is to press the button. The final sticky piston fires from an observer at the end.

I like how a couple days ago, I posted on Mumbo's cauldron storage system video, lauding it for how useful it was for my own lava cauldron system. I ran through a couple problems with it getting stuck if it came across an empty cauldron. Did a manual fix (with a button press), then an automatic fix that would cause cauldrons to cycle after a second (literally the day before yesterday) then got to work on incorporating it to my filling system (yesterday) ...and saw this video today.

First one -7/10 cool for decoration for builds
Second- 2/10 still pretty useless
Third- 8/10 cool for hallways
Forth- 9.5/10 the most useful out of them all especially in a manual furnace array
Fifth- 5/10 just jumping into water is faster but bonus for style points

Took me a bit of tweaking but I’ve now got the Fancy Fire Lighting design from 5:58 in the video working in my Xbox redstone world, I will be incorporating it into my future builds, thanks for the idea Mumbo!
Only downside is that they now need a two block space between them, the difference between Bedrock redstone behaviour and Java redstone behaviour is really annoying. 😭

Omg, I still remember the cauldron swapper!!! Despite all the cool redstone builds including the walking bases etc, I still think that invention is the coolest, Mumbo!!! I feel soooo nostalgic about it. I remember copying it in my old mc world and I couldn't stop activating it with big admiration... the thing that it activates automatically using the comparator just drove me crazy!!
Now all Mumbo needs to do is add them all to his base and link them with skulk sensors
