my rabbit passed away today and it’s been one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to deal with. My boy Casper was the best bunny who loved to binky and hop on my shoulders. We listen to music together and he helped me through my depressive episodes. He was the thing that kept me going. Bunnies are the most amazing animals.
I can really relate to that, my bunny helped me through tough times as well and when he died last year it was horrible for me and I spend the whole weekend bursting into tears..

And if I were in your shoes, I would also put her down for the sake of ending her pain due to severe arthritis. You have been a wonderful rabbit owner, always putting your rabbit’s best interests, continuously improving your rabbit care, spoiling your rabbits with a huge space as their area, giving different types of hay and providing a lot of enrichment. Lulu lived an incredibly long and very happy bunny life! She was very happy. She’s in bunny heaven with Mocha and Belle 💕 Id also like to add, I think as not only rabbit parents but just a parent of any pet, it’s hard to realize it’s the end and have to put them down, but forcing them to live a very uncomfortable and awful end of life for our own benefit. Forcing them to live for just a few more months horrifically for us is awful, and while it is SO hard to do, it’s what is right. You did the most wonderful thing you could, and I know that Lulu truly appreciated you making her last days as comfortable and relaxing as you possibly could. You did everything right, and are an amazing rabbit mom.

My bunny Sam passed away a couple of weeks ago. He was 14 weeks old and had a condition called Max Factor. He had an eye infection and I cleaned his eyes everyday. (He’s blind so he wasn’t scared of the eye wash) his back legs weren’t paralyzed but they were splayed so he would drag them and eventually his bottom got super dirty. He got weekly baths and I brushed him every night. I took him to the vet because I didn’t know how to keep him clean. The vet said that he needed to be put down sometime in the next week. I chose to do it the same day so he wasn’t suffering and it wasn’t harder on me. Poor little Sam. You’re binkying in Heaven and you can see!

sorry for your loss.. when my first rabbit died (he found me in my yard under the car)..it was devastating to the point where i couldnt have any... and rabbits were always my spirit animal...i literally researched rabbit health for 6 years after.. before the next 2 found me..they are each approximately 2-3 but im still terrified..and i cherish every moment they give me.. and im terrified every day so thank you for sharing because it makes me feel less crazy

I have a bunny named Lulu too!! unfortunately, Lulu got an inner ear infection in late August. Which made her very unbalance and her head is now tilled to the left, we took her to the vet as soon as we could which was 2-3 hours away. She got medication and antibiotics it did help with her head being tilled, after about 2-3 months she was all better. But she got the inner ear infection again but on her right side, she still has her inner ear infection to this day, it does affect her balance, she has gotten a bit better with her balance... it's hard to see my bunny flip in her cage non-stop... it's like she does a death roll but worst... she doesn't stop rolling in her cage when she does stop rolling she's exhausted.... sorry for your loss your little baby Lulu is in a great place now 😔😊💖💞💕🙏

I've got a bunny with chronic health issues, he's 8,5 now. His quality of life is not compromised. He's happy, hops around, gives me lots of kisses, ... But he looks a bit rough. Knowing and loving the joy of these unique creatures that most people could never begin to understand..and as you well know...they each have their own signature personality. We know it wasn't her time to go and she back to normal now, but it's a hard decision to make and no one has the right to judge. You know Lulu better then anyone and you know what was best for her. Can't believe I didn't get a notification for this when I'm subbed. I'm so sorry to hear about this :( Each time one of our fur babies pass its like they take a little peice of us with them. She'll be reunited with Mocha and Belle as others have said. She'll be watching you from the rainbow bridge. You did absolutely everything you could, and it can't be helped that you had to wait for the vet. You did what was best for her, and that's all anyone can ask.

I'm sorry for your loss. I think it's very brave to share your story on UA-cam. I appreciate you opening about not showing her last months on social media. I've got a bunny with chronic health issues, he's 8,5 now. His quality of life is not compromised. He's happy, hops around, gives me lots of kisses, ... But he looks a bit rough. I don't post pictures anymore on socials because I'm scared of being judged...

So sorry for your loss. What an amazing long life you gave Lulu. My 8 year old Dutch bunny 🐰 passed away a little over a year ago and it was difficult, so I can’t even imagine almost 12 years. At least Lulu is no longer suffering and you can remember all the fun things. ❤️🐰

When people say "I'm sorry" I don't understand because they didn't do anything. So, this sucks. Losing someone hurts and it's hard to come back, even after the wound has healed, it still leaves a scar. You gave Lulu the best life that a bunny could ask for and I'm sure she is thanking you. Mabe the trio are doing binkies in bunny heaven right now, who knows? You have helped us so much and so I speak for all of us who benefit from you, we are here for you and you got this. I'm sorry to hear about Lulu. My rabbit was ill for 2 weeks and the vet asked if i wanted to have her pts. We know it wasn't her time to go and she back to normal now, but it's a hard decision to make and no one has the right to judge. You know Lulu better then anyone and you know what was best for her. She had an amazing life and lived to a great age. R.I.P Lulu ❤️
