Wow good to see you again my friend. What a time you had with this new equipment. Good that Dell made good on it a hopefully all will work out. Hello to the family and keep those videos coming when you can. 🙏♥️
Thank you for your review of the Alienware Aurora R15. After watching your video, I have a question and/or a problem with this computer. I bought the computer with the following specifications: Alienware Aurora R15 AMD Ryzen(TM) 9 7950X (16 core, 80MB total cache, up to 5.7GHz max boost) NVIDIA(R) GeForce RTX(TM) 4070 12GB GDDR6X 32GB, 2x16GB, DDR5, 4800MHz Windows 11 Home I love the computer but there is a problem I have encountered, and I would like to hear your input. The problem I encountered is when the computer goes into “SLEEP MODE”. For some reason, my system DOES NOT stay off while it is in “sleep mode”. In the contrary, it keeps turning on/off continually. I also notice when the computer goes into “sleep mode” all the lights in the system go off except the video card. For some reason, it stays on (even during sleep mode). Is this normal? Have you encountered this problem before? Thank you for any information you can provide.
If you call and get a deal its worth it. Just dont expect big upgrades without changing mobo. Latest i9 with 64g and the 4090 is going to cover most ;)
@NickPixelTV how's the R15 going now? I just ordered a 4090 with a Ryzen 9 7950x, it was only £2,800 in the UK. Couldn't find anything else with a 4090 anywhere near that price.
@@RockoBam1 thats basically why I did it with the 4090, the replacement has been spot on no issues thus far. Haven’t noticed any thermal issues and i dont keep the fan speed on full blast. Interested to see how the ryzen performs
There's something wrong with the R15 GPU port. I have had chronic blackouts. almost every game i can play - from clickers to open world to colony builders - has seen the monitor shutdown. Dell managed to catch a glimpse of this issue during a remote session. The GPU was getting removed from the device manager. I have never had more than a month of use out of this thing between blackouts. I have had games running where i no longer have access to the window, the headphone jack won't register a new input or will disconnect when opening a game. The most common and severe issue up to this point is a sudden blackout of the monitor. Sometimes the fans crank up to max, sometimes they don't. Sometimes I'll continue to hear game audio, but - in the event that i can reopen the desktop without reset - the window for the game is blacked out. No warning. No opportunity to save. No error or crash notification outside of the reliability monitor. Same deal with the randomness. I could have three days without issue, then a game I've been plaiying that whole time knocks out. I could try every alternative game in my library and they all get hit within minutes of bootup. I suspect there is something wrong with the device manager, or whatever process is in charge of refreshing the ports. I've seen a lot of odd behaviors when it comes to sizing windows upon launch (random occurence). I've been through a number of bios updates, replaced almost every part from ram and fans to motherboard and gpu. I've had it factory reset, and I've had each individual component tested dozens of times. I wasn't sure whether having issues with a pc was normal, and I'd never done a support call before so I brushed over a couple of 'odd behaviors' and trusted that dell could do something about it If push came to shove. The first blackout didn't occur until exactly a month after I bought it, meaning no free return / replacement option for me. It's been six months, and I'm convinced Dell will continue to boilerplate me with tests and half-aware depot visits until the warranty and premium support dry out.
Just got my R15 amd few days ago, it rebooted 3 times randomly. After troubleshooting with their tech support, it hasn't rebooted again as of now 2nd day in a row. Hopefully this keeps up.

Intel failed for so many years, that is why.. we.. the *AMD* guys show up :!) But to be honest i got 2 laptops with intel and they are doing just fine. But for desktop i go 100% AMD @@NickPixelTV
I just got mine fully spec'ed out. My video feed cuts out once in a while for about 3-5 seconds. I don't fell fully confident keeping it. i didnt add warranty during purchase and now they want to charge me 3x the normal price for warranty even though im within return policy. Returning today. Horrible customer service from Dell.

Literally zero info provided in this video.
have you considered its failing because 50% of the new gen intel cpus are failing?
Could be the replacement has been 100% after a year

I just noticed that there arent any r15s/intels on the dell site all r16
