I'd swap Edgemaster for Infiltrator aspect for bosses and difficult enemies in general. It won't really affect your trash mob farming much, but will massively improve the single target damage and CC
I’m using a similar build to this, but I use Poison Trap and Caltrops with the passive that turns them into ice, as well as the three points to do more damage to chilled enemies. If the enemies don’t die outright, they end up frozen and shattered. Caltrops can also be used both as a positioning tool and an escape. I also take the passive for Penetrating Shot that slows enemies and makes elites fall, and I basically stunlock all elites😂 I also took the Exposure key passive, those extra bombs keep enemies stunned and the traps have very low cooldown.

I have been using something similar, it was more so of a way to deal more damage to bosses as i was using barrage instead of penetrating shot. Using penetrating shot with its aspect and shadow imbuement in itself can crowd clear, and if you place traps beforehand using the aspect that allows you to place 4 poison traps while in concealment you can reset your trap skills, which is why i also run deathtrap with the preparation specialization, if you spend 100 energy it will reduce your ultimate by 4 seconds, if you run consuming shadows you can keep your ultimate cool down very low. I swapped death trap for rapid fire for single target, works like a charm. Need to swap out aspects tho i'm early endgame and these aspects look way better then i am running now. Aspect of burning venoms i'm going to keep as long as possible though, the skill reset and the venom pool really works well for now

I recommend trying out cold imbue + shadow imbue. It is really slick and it solves my energy regen problem slightly, and makes it easier to kill mobs and a bit better on the boss.
I play twisting blades, deathtrap, shadow imbue and poison trap. I'm an absolute noob but in large packs I can mostly cast deathtrap 2 times in 4secs. Love it
Any chance you could put together a build template for the skills using one of the many build tools? I find it difficult to do my skill tree and paragon board while watching and pausing my video.
I found accelerating aspect on a bow with 50% speed increase on crits, and found it slayed by effectively speeding up your combo point hits by x2 the speed, which makes me think if you can find a 30% rapid aspect and stick it on your bow for 60% basic skill , you can actually melt bosses without even feeling like you need rapid fire.
I'm running a version of this build where I dropped shadow imbuement for Rapid Fire (single target, poison imbuement), focusing on a bit more crit. I'm also running Aspect of Arrow Storms on my 2H for that extra damage, you're guaranteed to proc it every time with how many chances you can crit. The playstyle with this aspect is not too different to POE triggered bladefall build. Basically sacrifice a little bit of clear for more potent single target Also Condemnation is a definite must if you can get it, it makes the tempo a lot better.
Love to see you playing and doing guides for D4. After your Elden Ring guides, these just as quality as those are. I have a few questions: -Do you have a discord channel by chance? -For pants you are saying dark shroud ranks to use, but we don't use the skill itself just as free with the aspect. Will be still benefiting from the DS ranks? -%Damage with skills that swap to new weapons. Do we need this? Will this proc if you build the combo w Puncture and then shot with Penetrating?
I really recommend using rapid fire for single targets as your second main skill along with penetrating shot for groups. It’s been unbelievably powerful
I agree on that. I was questioning myself after he said that he was using Pen Shot for the best Single Target Damage. you easily deal 50-70% more damage against a single target like bosses and it costs so much less energy especially when you got that Improved Rapid Fire Perk.
Yup m2, started with this build (original vid.) but switched to rapid fire instead of death trap. Not that far in endgame though but flying through content. For now running aspect of burning venoms, wondering how long it will hold up but it is insaine dmg and a endless supply of poison imbuements for now.
@@Mayhski112 Aspect of Expectant is the best, when you get the 10-20% per Auto. You only AA 2-3 times to get up to 30% bonus dmg on the next core skill.
ok first let me thank you for that really detailed view of the build. 2nd i just switched from twisting blade and my highest crit was 170k, with this its 350k. 3rd could u release the build on d4builds? would be easier then replaying the video every time :D
I ended up on Poison Trap also but just starting tier 4 and improving my build. Hated having to wait forever on Death Trap. Movment speed is huge for this build also.
I been rocking this. I've tried all other combinations but so far this does me the best. Only skill I've not tried is ice imbue stuff. I've just not gotten any decent ice buff gear.
as an old sorc who ran a rogue alt in beta and is now just fucking about on the one other class i like: this content is great. thx. and yes. ranged rogue may not be old bowazon but it sure hits like a truck. thanks for all your videos. (lvl30 trickster in wt3)
Hi, I reached lvl 50 yesterday after some struggles with my build since I got lvl 45. After playing around with some skills, I came to the same conclusion as you: Shadow Imb, Poison Imb, Concealment, Poison Trap and Penetrating Shots is 100% the way to go. It can kill bosses and destroys trash mobs in 2 secs. Dark Shroud orbs are amazing as passives, but sloting the skill is a wasted slot.
Cool to see this build that was popular in the betas (well, the last two, the ones I played, anyway) carry on!! I started my first playthrough with this build, and I got some nice tips and improvements from your video! I have a slightly altered version, with Shadow Clone and the offensive aspect that makes my Shadow Clones gain all my imbuements, aswell as a damage boost to them whenever I cast an imbuement spell. I pair that with the unique sacred Gloves called Grasp of Shadow, which increase my attack speed, vulnerable damage and Shadow Clone damage by a huge amount. I have insane boss damage with the clone, it's completely ridiculous. It's basically a double damage button every time I activate it, and it can have more than 100% of your own damage with the bonus from the aspect. Cheers!
Finally a rogue user that actually tells people twisting blades are significantly nerfed. Thanks for the insight on the penetrating bow build. I will definitely use poison trap as a replacement.
Trickkshot aspect doesn't go on amulets, its a weapon aspect. So I recommend using it on your offhand dagger/sword instead. Also using rapid fire over poison trap seems a much better bet.
Yeah, people need to see this. I didn't know about this disable until I looked at different video today, and realized I had a piece of gear that was essentially useless.
I'm a bit confused about you saying the "Damage with Skills that Swap to a New Weapon" stat being useless, Rapture tooltip says "requires dual wielded weapons", don't you swap to your bow for Pen Shot after building up combo points with Puncture?
I've been testing the Temerity pants with a similar build to this for about 4 days now and the barrier proc works great. I got a max roll Life on Kill stat on my helm which I assume is what keeps the barrier topped up during pack clearance. Also, been extremely lucky with the Penitent Greaves drop. got one in WT3 and a replacement in WT4... i cannot live without them! On the subject of paragon boards, I used to use Exploit Weakness as my third board but was recommended to switch to Eldritch for the imbuement boost... I can't tell which one is better though.
Hello, what is the 2nd frame you use in Excellence? Of the 8 frames that exist, I couldn't find anything similar to yours. Thank you and keep building, it's amazing.
Also i think maybe you should talk about boots giving you an extra dash. Bc i think the build lacks of mobility, especialy if you used your concealment for geting out of crown controll. In the early game i tried dash abiility but how you said in end game its irrelevant and you prefer to have poison trap, so it feels like 0 mobility if you used your concealment. I'm courius about your thoughts on this.
Well.... I prefer to play ranged rogue too and this build is definetly fun, but either my pen shot gear is waaaaaaay worse or the twisting blade build is just on a completely different level. I hope they tweak some stuff so that you can play more than tb builds and still feel as powerful as with the tb build. Thanks for the video :9
I still don't understand how people haven't realized that the base boots with reduce evate by 1.2 sec each attacks are absolute BIS. Pair that with leave a cluster of stunt grenade and you can literraly stun lock packs. 3 puncture, 1 barrage or rapid fire then repeat. Best fun ever. Cant't go penitence for this exactr reason. Also, evade give 30 crit dmg when you evade so I currently have rapid fire dealing 9 hits of 1 million + crits on elite with my simple, no anoying "mmo-like must do preparation shinenigan" and just play like a hack and slash should be played, which is brainlessly. It's the only hack and slash build I could find with the rogue.
i still use crossbows over the skyhunter bow because im already energy capped with the Loop ring i have for 4 energy everytime i CC enemies. & as for the crit, im already at around 80% crit rate so that extra 20% isn't super appealing loseing out on 150% Vulnerable dmg from the double roll on Crossbow.
Good video, but I like to have a close AoE, and a powerful one-on-one. I go with Flurry as main attack (has massive lifesteal, i can't die), then for one-on-one I have Rapid Fire. I got Condemnation and I use Combo, so my Rapid Fire shoots 8 arrows consecutively, and each one deals thousands as it is an extreme crit chance and boosted by Combo and the dagger.
Death trap is so bad. You need the mirror with the aspect that he also copies your infusements. This is 100% better and he also casts another poison trap. Ulti->shadow infusement->poison trap. Infinite damage because of the cooldown reset.
ngl, I swapped over to Pen Shot Rogue not because it's necessarily stronger than TB (idk if it is or not when they're equally invested into), but because TB was getting kinda boring after the 1 - 55 grind and I wanted to switch things up. Also because TB is fun, but it's also extremely hands-off from 1 - 55 (and it didn't feel like I was gonna run into issues any time soon).
My first character on the game is a ranged rogue, got her up to 45 with various bow builds, just switched to melee because i was curious and i'm having just as much fun. Still think i'm switching back to bow by level 70 or so.
Just Switched over from TB on lvl 75 with 9k AP and 5k Armor. Maybe im doing something but im WAY slower, way less DMG and way more squishy. Couldnt even do a T25 when i was doing T30 easily on Farm before 😮
Unless I am blind, and I don't see that...why not put this build into a planner as well? It would be a lot easier to see all the skills/gear, in my opinion
can someone please teach me how you get penetrating shot to do that multi directional shot like in the video? my penetrating shot still does a single line shot. pleaseee
I have a similar build for PVE. Do you have tips for a ranged pvp Build? I studied the skills but I think that ranged won't work in pvp as good as the close range rogue..
Sold or salvaged a condemnation by accident 😅. My biggest struggle and what I need to address most is my base attack speed. My resource regen skill is slow AF atm. So resource and combo stacks are hurting.
I play twisted blades but I want to switch I already got 3 condemnations one max roll but sadly only sacred but still incredibly powerful and looks way more fun to me
For me this is actually a little worrying. Mind you I have not made it to endgame with rogue yet. But right now, just from the description on most builds, they remind me of the archon build in D3. Which was essentially run around, wait for Archon to come up, then hit it and let everything die. I personally can't stand those builds. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong lol. I could also simply be in the minority on not liking builds like this. I usually played DH Unholy or GoD's set just so I could kill everything on the screen. Always felt bad skipping mobs or trying to pull them from group to group =(
This seemed op at first then realize its same lvl 78 on 78, next time try it on higher lvl mobs since no one really farms like that in the end game. usually farming 3 lvls higher or so even 10 at times. Not hating here just make it more realistic. Twisted blades at that same place will melt anything with almost unlimited resource regen.
Have you done a document to show all skills etc you take rather than having to stop and pause games to keep track of everything i am taking and making changes to
What would you say are the 3 most important aspects on this build. I’m lvl 53 and still setting my gear up and stuff and don’t wanna watse any mats early
Is Exploit really good? It has 20 second cooldown and you cant choose what attach makes vulnerable, so it probably will be just a generator hitting very few enemies
I still haven't switch from twisting blade to PS but I always keep it in mind, especially as I have both unique you showcased here (and also the pants for death trap which I thought would be useful). I definetelly have some aspects ready to go for this. I just hate not being able to save builds in game
im enjoying this build so far, i wanted to do a shadow imbuement, penetration shot nuke build since i pieced one together in beta.. i currently have complete builds for twisted blades and this one, both equally fun but the ranger build heavily lacks mobility.
I love your guides and video quality, but right now ranger rogue feels like a massive L because of how often you need to just run around until the mobs gather around. this is a problem across the board with D4's mob pack design imo but it is the most noticeable when playing a ranged rogue
I hate that Penetrating Shot is the only really viable range skill. I am trying to make a machine gun Rapid Fire build but its meh. Unironically Sorc has the machine gun build
wouldn´t the first skill on your chest armor increase your Pen shot damage, since your basic attacks use the swords and Pen shot uses the Bow/CB ? so youre acitvely switching weapons while using Pentrating shot?

Got a near perfect windforce, so... Let's find a build!
Barrier on pants only scales with your current base HP and not from gear and board. Might want to look into something different.
I did got the legendary aspect for penetrating shot, do i have to activate it somewere or does it just work when u finished the dungeon?

Also Condemnation is a definite must if you can get it, it makes the tempo a lot better.
Fan of your work GOAT. Where are the dungeons of the mentioned Aspect located? Only visible on the map upon Lvl 50?
Love to see you playing and doing guides for D4. After your Elden Ring guides, these just as quality as those are.
I have a few questions:
-Do you have a discord channel by chance?
Poison trap is the best not because it’s stats and effects but the fucking trip animation is hilarious. I’ll never stop using it.
as an old sorc who ran a rogue alt in beta and is now just fucking about on the one other class i like: this content is great. thx. and yes. ranged rogue may not be old bowazon but it sure hits like a truck. thanks for all your videos. (lvl30 trickster in wt3)
Hi, I reached lvl 50 yesterday after some struggles with my build since I got lvl 45. After playing around with some skills, I came to the same conclusion as you:
Shadow Imb, Poison Imb, Concealment, Poison Trap and Penetrating Shots is 100% the way to go. It can kill bosses and destroys trash mobs in 2 secs.
Dark Shroud orbs are amazing as passives, but sloting the skill is a wasted slot.
you'll need it 60+
Run very similar to this on my alt. The build doesn't work as well early game as mobs are spread out but once you hit 25 or 30 it crushes everything
Just subbed because video edit is so good.
Thanks man, love the build & presentation.
nice and well detailed video Thank NIZ!
Cheers!
I'm thinking of replacing poison trap with this. Will remove manglers aspect and utilise aspect of imitated imbuements
Finally a rogue user that actually tells people twisting blades are significantly nerfed. Thanks for the insight on the penetrating bow build. I will definitely use poison trap as a replacement.
They are not significantly nerfed, lol
@@Fredrick215 Keep telling yourself that bud
i like rapidfire to kill bosses more than poison trap and instead of shadow imbuement i have dash for mobility
@@parkhyoungmin1487 okay, will do.
Trickkshot aspect doesn't go on amulets, its a weapon aspect. So I recommend using it on your offhand dagger/sword instead. Also using rapid fire over poison trap seems a much better bet.
the vibe, the background music, the editing, fuck im convinced, ditching the blades.
Dude. So stoked to see you making D4 builds. I need maximum performance!!!!!
Loving following this build rn.
Edgemasters is disabled currently, not advised to use this legendary power at the moment
Yeah, people need to see this. I didn't know about this disable until I looked at different video today, and realized I had a piece of gear that was essentially useless.
@@Bakemer94 mine is a perfect rolled one so I don’t want to take it off hope it comes back online soon
@@dayoftherope1690 just stick it in your stash for now and make use of something that actually works
This should be pinned so people don't waste an aspect slot for now!
Will they inform Us when it goes back up?
I'm a bit confused about you saying the "Damage with Skills that Swap to a New Weapon" stat being useless, Rapture tooltip says "requires dual wielded weapons", don't you swap to your bow for Pen Shot after building up combo points with Puncture?
Please please o please, on behalf of the UA-cam community, please continue making build videos for other classes.
Thanks buddy for another great guide👌
Hello, what is the 2nd frame you use in Excellence? Of the 8 frames that exist, I couldn't find anything similar to yours. Thank you and keep building, it's amazing.
Thank you for the guide I learned good things from it ♥️
What Paragon Boards do you show in the video?
Thanks for the video :9
running same build but with dash instead of cal, honestly love it
he's not using caltrops
This build is my favorite build yet on rogue! If you had the "Word of Hakan" unique. Would you somehow add it to the build and use rain of arrows?
What do you recommend for quick levelling for rogue? Excellent vid and I'm eager to try this out!
Really enjoyed the previous video, cruised up to 50 at least 5x faster than my druid.
Im happy to see you decided that poison trap is better to use than death trap. That cooldown is harsh so i swapped back to poison trap a while back.
I use both traps. And I cap car DT like every 10 seconds for the most part
grab the unique pants for death trap. Give's the trap multiple uses.
can someone please teach me how you get penetrating shot to do that multi directional shot like in the video?
my penetrating shot still does a single line shot. pleaseee
Same Here too
Lol it's an aspect you need to put on ur amulet preferably
Trick shot aspect, there's a dungeon for it so make sure you complete it
First here in 1 min lol
Edit: Now i watched your video, seems pretty good. I'll try this one. Thanks for guide man.
I liked your machine gun build but please make the next part of penshot! 🙏
thanks for sharing, i have a quick question. Does ambrous aspect proc on lucky hit chance or critical strike chance? Thanks
Have you done a document to show all skills etc you take rather than having to stop and pause games to keep track of everything i am taking and making changes to
Hey, man! When will you do an updated build video for 70+ World Tier 4?
Should i rather put the trickshot aspect, the umbrous defensive or aspect of corruption on the amulett for 50% increased power?
Trick
There we go! More bangers.
Dude In wt4 can you play all builds, try nightmare dungeon 50-60 and play it in a video
What would you say are the mandatory pieces for the build to feel good?
Will there still be an update to thhis build? really looking forward to it :D
The barrier pants are more useful than the death trap one imo :-)
I actually use both I have pen shot for groups and twisting for single target
holy shit. the deathtrap pants are absolutely tragic. someone was on some shit when making that item.
im playing. Its so much fun ty
Hello, is there a link to your build? Thank you, great build.
are you running anything else while edgemasters is disabled? or just gonna wait until it comes back?
Can you upload a video where you do some nightmare dungeons? You 1 shot normal dungeons with anything anyways.
Potentially dumb question but at what point do you switch to "endgame build" i.e. at what level?
it's all arbitrary really and the definition of endgame is subjective, but generally speaking I'd personally say once you reach WT4
Great video dude, could you tell me what makes arrows go forward/left/right? Thanks
It's a legendary aspect , I believe called trickshot. Obtained for the codex from the bastion of faith dungeon
im enjoying this build so far, i wanted to do a shadow imbuement, penetration shot nuke build since i pieced one together in beta.. i currently have complete builds for twisted blades and this one, both equally fun but the ranger build heavily lacks mobility.
Question! Can I use Forceful Arrow instead of Punture? Since I'm playing Hardcore I'd prefer to be a bit further away if I can :)
for sure, forceful arrow can apply vulnerability as well
Got a windforce drop but still trying to decide if its good.
I love your guides and video quality, but right now ranger rogue feels like a massive L because of how often you need to just run around until the mobs gather around. this is a problem across the board with D4's mob pack design imo but it is the most noticeable when playing a ranged rogue
Which legendary imprint would I replace Condemnation with? The 20% imbue one?
I hate that Penetrating Shot is the only really viable range skill. I am trying to make a machine gun Rapid Fire build but its meh. Unironically Sorc has the machine gun build
wouldn´t the first skill on your chest armor increase your Pen shot damage, since your basic attacks use the swords and Pen shot uses the Bow/CB ? so youre acitvely switching weapons while using Pentrating shot?
15:12 How do you get the Glyphs right away with a new level 50 character? I was looking to use Combat.
After watching this video I went into a nightmare dungeon and got Condemnation. Core skills % was at the max 40!
