I am still trying to figure out why anybody would unlike this.😞 This is a wonderful idea and I'm going to try this for a dancing competition using a completely different material.It should work and I will only need it for about 1 minute so I just don't feel like finding someone to sew it for me.Thanks again for the idea.Great job!!👍👍👍

I love the way you did this. It is super simple and it is just the kind of cape that I am looking to make, although mine will be much longer lol. Maybe even touching the floor. And I am going to add a hood. It is going to require a bit of sewing, but I can just hand sew it. Thankyou for the great tips!

I'm trying to make a Mage cape for cosplay & this just might work. I wanted to use colored button snaps but I don't have any so this may have to do.
Also, might wanna consider using a mannequin to show how things looks.

This is a great tutorial. I am excited to make one. Can you actually use this technique to make a liner inside of it? I was thinking of making a winter cape and I kinda of figured I would actually need to sew it on.
If you make the ribbon even longer, you can crisscross it across your child's chest and tie it behind their back so that there is not a choking hazard.

This is the best I've come across yet! Will it work with other fabrics? I was hoping to make something out of shiny material?
Iron Mary Cash fleece or polyester work best but you can also cut the shoulders and sleeves off a shirt for a cape too.
I love this video, but is there a cape that could be made this easily that doesn't tie around the neck?, I feel this could be dangerous for a rambunctious toddler.

Fleece does not run. Feel free to use other fabric but it will need to be hemmed!
