  • Just a quick snippet of some noodling. All original except the whammy bar.
Playing into a Peavey Bandit 112.

I can see you enjoy that guitar! I bought one around '87 when I was on leave from the military. At first I hated it. I wouldn't stay in tune, etc. I called it the Mule, because it was so stubborn.
It wasn't the guitars fault, it was mine. So after years of learning and researching, and learning how to set intonation etc. I modified it. Locking tuners, replaced string tree-meaning I removed it, put an LSR roller nut, replaced pick ups, had it re-fretted with 6100 frets, then had to modify those!
I would try to pull up on the whammy bar, and it would fret out, so I sort of made my own compound radius neck, roughly 12 to 16 at the 12th fret. Love the neck and hate the string pull through the nut.
Drives me nuts! So the G string is still always a problem because of the angle that the string goes through the nut.
    I digress.
My guitar sounded exactly like yours before the mods. So thank you for sharing it! I did this little number on my modified one :studio.ua-cam.com/users/video4sTDAWQa7Z4/edit Not the best audio quality or recording..but the same guitar modified. Love the neck on that thing!

I agree with what you’re saying about the string through the nut. It makes the whammy very unreliable. It’s built like a tank though. I like you’re song. That’s cool you’ve got the ability to play with a drummer like that

@@MrArnoldarnold I agree with you, it's built pretty tough! Glad you liked the tune, definitely fun to play with my buddy on drums! He just blew his shoulder out though..so we haven't played in a while.
