He has also opened both a Sexual Wellness Clinic which treats men and women and a medical aesthetics practice. Dr. Steinberg did his training at McGill University and the Cleveland Clinic.
Thanks for the information 👍 you gave me a good understanding of this problem. I'm going to be 74 had prostate radiation and I believe this was the cause of my problem. My urologist was yes that can happen.
I work at a Men's clinic that offers Gainswave therapy for ED and Peyronies. We use a combination of Gainswave (low-intensity extracorporeal shockwave therapy) and a penis pump that helps straighten the curve. We have had some great success.
I don't have a curve but looks like an elestic band type squeeze where it doesn't expand like the rest of my penis, calsificaation or plaque, I have been referred to another hospital because the doctor thinks it's not pyronese disease, still waiting after 2 years is this a big problem?
@@user-yo3mn2ro6w I am not a Physician, but the Physician who runs our clinic states that any narrowing would be considered Peyronies. I am actually currently treating a patient who has exactly that. To be honest, it is quite a challenge to treat a narrowing as opposed to actually feeling a deposit where you can focus the sound wave treatment. Using a pump daily for several months may help, while at the same time being treated with Gainswave.
@@user-yo3mn2ro6w I am treating a gentleman right now that has severe narrowing of his penis at the base. I have also treated a man who has the severe narrowing just under the head of his penis. He is not circumcised and very difficult to hold the head of his penis in order to treat it. It's a difficult type of Peyronies to treat. They will have to use their correction pump for a long time to see results.

I got a significant curve (45°) at 50 (Mar 25, 2023) and hurt like hell. Pain went away, but curve did not. Still got good erections, but sex was awkward with the curve.
Got 1st round of Xiaflex on Apr 23 & 25, 2024. Hoping for good results.

I'm 21 and this Peyronies stuff has ruined my life for the past 4 years.
I saw a supposedly good urologist in SF and he didn't even have the courtesy to give me a Doppler after all the pain I've been in for years.
I had to switch my primary doctor, so I can now go to a different one to get a referral to a urologist.
Would love your advice doc, feel free to respond to this.

#1 I went to Dollar General . #2 I purchased a lengthy hair tie along with some wooden beads sold in the craft section . #3 I went to Harbor Freight and purchased a 19mm socket . #4 I tied a knot at one end o've the lengthy hair ties . #5 With the aid o've paper clip , I straighten the clip leaving one side like a hook . Why would a doctor not treat something or believe a patient just because it’s “unsexy”. Dosen’t make sense.
Perhaps a poor choice of words. But he's right most Urologists know nothing about Peyronies and can be quite dismissive, even ones that claim to specialize in Peyronies care.

I don't have erectile disfunction but I do have a different shape whereby it looks like I have an invisible elastic band around my penis near to my body about an inch out, feels hard both sides but no curvature, just not expanding out at this bit only, weird 😐

I also got very severe curve, first 45 degrees then 6 mths later went to 80 degrees. Was put on surgery list and for series of injections. Was prescribed penis stretcher and Pentoxifylline 300 mg x3 daily, after 1 year from onset, 3 mths later curve went down to about 15-20 degrees, cancelled injections and surgery, all good 8 years later.

I have peyronies at age 62 but also dx with dupuytren's at 60. I use catheters 2-3 times daily for hx of spinal cord injury which I believe was the cause of the peyronies due to the cyst forming right where I hold the penis to cath. No other major trauma that I can remember. I have a 90 degree straight up about 2 inches from the tip. Been getting injections 9 times with the BP med with more flexibility but still pretty significant curve. And now going to go to the next step Xiaflex. Fingers crossed. I still get hard and no pain. Most likely rough sexual activities causes tissue injuries. Not necessarily painful BUT rather annoying and does affect your sexual relationships. Does shockwave help? Is there any medication? My close friend used cream for ONE YEAR apparently he is telling me 90% got better. I wouldn’t go to extent to have operation. What is the best way forward?

I did lost 4 inches got thinner curved. I noticed blood don't fill it only like 50 60 percent.
What device is good for straighting it
A VED or a traction device can straighten it, with VED always get one with a gauge so you don't over pump and cause damage
Some of us have a curve that even though can still get an errectioun but the curve take length and girth away therefore not getting good performance or penetration
how come you dont talk about shock therapy
It is not a major treatment, but may help.
I heard that shock wave therapy reduces the pain but not the curvature.

I thought food was one of the causes as well? Lots of acidic foods. How about, if you have minimum feeling (because plague) when having an erection because of the hardness underneath skin? would prp be a good idea and safe to start?
They say this doesn't work, but a lot of treatment is not fully proven one way or another. Many doctors say a multimodal approach is best. Try things before you jump to surgery.
