With the 500k population in the colony, it’s more like “The Cities Must Grow!” But I love the change regardless. We’re not just surviving, we’re thriving in the Frostland! The only thing stopping me from pushing to 2 million or more is the near guaranteed crashing I get when I make a 2nd colony.
A mod does exist, to my knowledge, that lets you add more buildings to each district. However, I wanted to see how far I could get on a vanilla/un-modded run. ^^ And yes, it’s 2127. All hail the God-Captain! Or perhaps…

"They were beyond mad! Absolutely nefarious!"
Haha, maybe as an Easter egg! Honestly, having their follow/subscription as well as public comment on the previous video feels like a reward already with how small and new (relatively to my first video) my channel is.
Surprisingly the GPU has done really well! There were even times when the fans weren’t fully running/stopped for a few seconds. Could be that I had a good heat dispersal system going though?

@@NEF-Official Yeah, I think with the insane amounts of crowding you did cities and industrial scale here; the next game would be about expanding further into the frostland in a map area the size of Quebec. I'm glad you are! I wanted to go even further with this, but the game engine couldn't handle it anymore on the build this save was done on. Crashes became almost guaranteed even on the lowest settings, effectively ending any additional attempts.
@ lol makes sense. Realistically though, even after a point, even with captains authority, what is there to do? I suppose continued prison round ups, labor camp construction or further consolidating your power with guard squads.

Who knows! Would be a dream come true though, imagine being able to send in your own save game to the developers of the game so they can use it to test things and try to use it to improve the game. But it's also possible they didn't expect anyone could get this far atm without mods or console commands, and boy did I have fun getting this far.
Hypothetically how much could you pump up the population if you settled literally every location in the Frostlands and maxed the population in ever settlement, could the computer even handle it? Edit: nevermind I didn't watch the full video.
I’m happy to answer anyway since my thoughts always tend to change a bit! If I could colonize it all with no performance problems and I’m on the easiest difficulty, possibly up to 2.5 million people. Not sure if 3 million would be doable with shelter scarcity before deaths from cold kick in, which start at Notable from my experience.
Yeah, I uh…my stubbornness doesn’t know when to quit in games I love. If I want to keep playing them, I find ways to keep playing them almost (certainly) to a fault for my sleep schedule. I can’t guarantee I won’t try more, because I like FP2 that much.

Nice! I believe the "Servant" population you get from the Merit cornerstone has significantly lower housing needs than a normal population. Perhaps you can use this to get more people without the Cold causing deaths?
It does, but a main issue with the Servants is that they occasionally die from overwork as I found out in my past tests before doing this. If I could avoid this death by overwork, then I'd use them in this run for certain. Sadly the death is percentage based too, so it would guarantee a reduction in my total population permanently.
@@NEF-Official Huh, I never knew servants caused death from overwork I always thought it was from Empowered Management after that one event triggers lol
Yup! If you read the notifications as they appear, it’ll mention that servants specifically died of overwork. However, it won’t trigger the death bell or drop relations and trust.
