      I’m stoked you enjoyed it. I was actually out last night using live comp for an epic shot and it was wild.

    Excellent. Well explained and to die for location demonstrated. Since I can’t afford Easter Island I’ll try it closer to home.

    That should be pretty convenient for the light painting too, as you can see what you got and "fill the holes" before the end of the exposure without having to use the Live Comp and the numeric blending the Live Comp is creating. :)

    Really good explanation! I just learned about this on a Olympus event but it was a bit too fast for me to really understand how it works, but now I do :)

    Excellent tutorial! I just got my transfer from Canon dSLRs to Olympus and I am amazed at the features on my 5 year-old E-M5 mkii. This one is awesome.

    Helpful, thanks. As a side note, I think on the new OM-1, the camera needs to be in B mode as opposed to M mode on this older camera.

      No worries mate! And yes you are right there is a change to the OM1. Have fun.

    Amazing video! Wish I can take photos like that too, I have a question, do the lumix gx9 came out with this live composition mode too. But it’s more for taking photos of a moving person or something? I’m not sure. Can you tell me if they are the same thing or what’s the difference? Thank you so much!

    Mr. Living, how do you feel about exposing all the way over to the right, so that the histogram does almost touch the right side, and then bring the exposure down in post? It's supposed to control noise.

    Hi Dennis! I am getting ready to change out to an Olympus camera just to get these Long Exposure features. I noticed in your video that your camera has the same fully articulating screen that flips out as my current Panasonic GX8. Can you tell me which model(s) will have this? Thanks for the lovely video and GREAT location!

    Noise reduction on or off?

  • @raymondearley623

    do you manually focus or auto? I have the Olympus 10 mark 2 so i don't think it has the ir preview screen that yours seemed to have to focus

    Does pressing the shutter button second time induce any camera shake? Or does not matter because of long exposure?

    When I try this why does my pictures come out just bright? Someone help plz?

    • @idzakaiasan
      @idzakaiasan 4 роки тому +1

      Perhaps you are shooting in too bright a sky? Try it later at night because if you do this in daytime you will need an ND filter to get proper exposure.

    • @SCHOOLOFLIGHT

      Hi Mate, try live composite during the day.

    Absolutely brilliant video. Thank you! One question - I have recently purchased the OM 1 and wondering how does the camera focus in darkness? My results have not been sharp. Is manual focus the way to go? Necessary to turn off IBIS? Thanks again Denis.

    • @SCHOOLOFLIGHT
      @SCHOOLOFLIGHT  Рік тому

      Hi Steve. Focusing in the dark is complicated use. A bright torch helps. The OM1 has starry sky autofocus as well.

    • @SCHOOLOFLIGHT
      @SCHOOLOFLIGHT  Рік тому

      But always manual focus in the dark. If not starry sky.
