I wasn't running the knuckle boom in this video but as a practice, we spun the logs 360 intentionally to do a quick glance for metal like cables or big bolts. It isn't full proof but helped find and prevent big stuff from knocking out the knives
@@grindersandheavyiron1741 Ahh, gotcha & thanks. No iron; just fiber;) Between these & grapple saws! I get my lumberjack fix on YT. Seen enough train wrecks for a while:(
Those are huge logs going into the chipper. I'm sure that chipper engine gets a workout after this video. I think also you could turn the chipper up one notch. I see a little bit of smoke coming out the drum. Perhaps the knives are running a little too hot? I accidentially destroyed my best CBI chipper that way.
The Beast is the only grinder that I know of that you can make mulch or chips just by changing some hardware. You don't have to change the mill out like on other grinders.

Good equipment but is something broken on the grapple ( spinning..) or is the operator bored/playful?

The CBI 6400CT is a very similar size. Can be optioned with the C32 and chipper drum. CAT power gets work done!
Yes the 6400 is an awesome machine from everything I've seen.

@@grindersandheavyiron1741 I would love to see that machine run and talk to you in person.
