I always love your videos! Your makes are always so cute! Thank you for sharing my Butterscotch. I appreciate it. I am sorry you didn't really make much, but there is always tomorrow. Hopefully, when the weather cools down, sales will be up. Dont forget that this is an election year. Many people are tight with their money. Imwasmso hoping your Butterscotch would sell. Dont you worry, im going to be here when it does andni will celebrate with you! Much love, Gigi.

It took me a good year to get in the groove, get my name out there and develop a relationship with customers. Some events were super discouraging, but i kept at it, talked to customers, especially the kiddos...I'd ask what they like to see me make, what colors they like etc. I also make it a point to have a little of everything at every price range. Everybody does bees...do a boo-bee or Zomebee...do food items, whats popular where you live? Here in Texas i make a ton of Tacos, jalapeños, empanadas, etc. And i ALWAYS try to have something eye catching at the front of my booth. Like your giant turtle, it grabs the eye and draws people over. I do a market every Saturday and still have some yuck days, its the nature of the beast, but if i make one connection, or one person smile its all good. Best of luck to you!

Making food themed items is a great idea. Crabs are very popular in my area and I haven’t made a single one🙃
      Time to change that

Congratulations on your courage and dedication to your craft, and your followers. You showed up and you show us that it's not always about the sales. Thank you for your transparency. I know you will do better in sales, remember the race is not won only by the swift, but to the one who endures. Hang, in there, better days are coming. I love your videos. #yournumberonefan ❤❤❤

Great video. I watch so many market videos and this is the first time I've heard the creator paying their helper and I that that was really fair of you to do! I read another comment asking why you have a helper and I guess that's something to consider in the future but thank you for including that in your breakdown. It can be really easy to romanticize markets as a viewer, I crochet and do sell my amigurumi through word of mouth in person sales and had been considering markets but after seeing how much work makers put into it and how often that labor goes unpaid makes me reconsider if it's worth the time and labor. Not knocking any makers who do markets at all, i love and support their content. Your vid did a great job at showing a more realistic perspective. 💕

Thank you for this! I try to make sure I am as transparent and authentic as possible in my videos so others learn from my experiences.

Cyber hug! Sorry to see you discouraged! Been there, done that! Some markets are rather blah. It takes time to find the really good ones that are well attended, well advertised and well organized. Festivals can be pricey, but they draw a good crowd.

glad this one was much better. considering that it is August, maybe you should look more into doing fall & Christmas craft shows/markets. the items would be more along the line of gifts or nonessential purchases and people would be more apt to spend the cash. great job. be blessed

I have a market coming up in October and last year I had a lot of the same things a few other crocheters had, like turtles, axolotls, chickens. I sold a bit, but the things no one else had sold the best. I had a vampire cat, some squid, and puffer fish. This year I'm making some aliens, monkeys, more squid, and hippos. I'm also going to make some loaf cats. I'll let you know how it goes..:)

Your items are gorgeous!! I don't find farmers markets to be very profitable for our business. Please try festivals or other events that ask for vendors. Don't get discouraged. My most profitable events have been car shows, believe it or not. Good luck with your future ventures

Do you have any craft shows/fairs near you? I know where I live I wouldn't make much money at a farmers market selling my crochet items most people only want to buy produce or homemade food items(near me). thank you for your videos I enjoy watching them.

I’m looking now for the fall season. It gets interesting as there is starting to be a larger plushie market around me and events don’t want too many of the same people selling things (which I’m okay with). I’m hoping that cooler weather will convince people to buy more 🤞🏾

Your Products are great 😍😍😍I would say think about changing your booth set up your products are bright and colorful and that should be reflected in your booth theme everything that was laying on the table try finding a way to prop it up instead of laying flat and add tags to them with their names but other than that your going to do awesome oh and don't give up Oh and children like bubbles maybe add a bubble blower you know things to get the kiddos attention and when it slow do it on your own to avoid paying someone.

One question I have, is why are you paying someone to help you? Since your sales and the market are so slow, I'm just wondering why you need the help. You would have so much more in profit without paying a helper.

It is something I am considering for future events. I may have to by default if I keep having low sales 😅

This may seem counter-productive but try increasing your prices a bit. Sometimes in crafter markets lower priced items dont sell as well because some people have a cheaper=infearior/badly made mindset. Keep a few things lower cost so everyone can afford something. Maybe try it out at a few markets and you can always lower prices again if it doesnt work.

Why are you still doing the farmer's market? Look for some other market

I’m in the process of doing that now. I’m trying to be a good vendor and honor my contractual agreement, but believe me, it is HARD 😅
