  • Richard Amos was born in England in 1963 and began his study
of Karate at the age of ten. He moved to Japan in 1989 to pursue
the Japanese Karate Association (JKA) instructor program, a task
that few accomplish. In 1994 he graduated as an instructor at the
JKA Tokyo dojo headquarters, one of only four non-Japanese to
    have ever achieved this.

This man's philosophy is the very definition of cultivation.
Something that has been lost in "modern" culture at large, where results are the only measure to success.

Really liked what he said about changing from big to small movement. I thought Baji was all about big movement until I kept learning with my teacher and showed me that a lot of things that can be used in sparring is small movement.

Efficiency is what we focus on the Dai to sho that’s what we have learnt from you and from my own practice. Many skip past this and just go harder and faster . 🙏 that lacks efficiency and core discipline
