I was blessed to train with Master Nakayama twice, once in my teens and once later around 30 years old. He was a wonderful and gracious teacher and brought me up both times to demonstrate how he could beat me senseless at will. It was incredible and I thank God for those moments.
It was like a goldmine to see Master M. Nakayama speak about origin of karate specially Shotokan aka JKA and the future in Olympics and it's possible loss to karate practitioner. Thank for uploading such wonderful video.
Thank you for this video. I started training shotokan karate with jka in 2000. I received my shodan and nidan from sensei yataka yaguchi. I recently tested and received my yondan two years ago. Thank you so much for this video!.
Большая благодарность за такие раритетные и ценные для истинных ценителей традиционных боевых искусств видеоматериалы. Это бесценная история, которую к сожалению мало знает молодое поколение занимающихся каратэ, увлечённое спортивными достижениями.
Thank you so much for uploading this video of the great master. Also, thank you for sending the link via email and they can be downloaded without any issue. The quality is very good. Great books for a karateka at any stage. Thank you and keep up good work..!!

You notice he never mentions yoshitaka Funakoshi once ! Gigo was the father of modern Japanese karate and not his father . He’s never mentioned as he’s a controversial figure .
Maybe I'm mistaken - Gigo was his son, no? And he was a tremendous karateka, but died at an early age, correct? So Funakoshi Sensei is, in fact the father of modern karate.
@@ikkenhisatsu7170 no yoshitaka developed modern karate as it is today . He reportedly died of tuberculosis just after world war 2 . The deep stances of Shotokan came from yoshitaka primarily . His fathers stances were more in line with Okinawa based system’s. Yoshitaka introduced aspects of kendo and sword play strategy into stance and fighting range .

Nunca estuvo O Sensei Funakoshi de acuerdo con la competición en el karate. Siempre la consideró una desviación del arte.
