Nice choice Ricky, I've got one, same color, and with the sidecar option too. Worth ever penny, just the cable management design alone is worth it. It just makes me concentrate on music not "I wish I had a better desk/setup to accommodate all my musical situations", the platform puts all that to bed. It has also made me rethink my studio workflow because as we all know, if it's not all plugged in and ready to go, creative inspiration will turn pretty quickly to creative disfunction (CD), trying to find space then wiring in the new instrument etc etc etc. Once the moment is lost, what's left can only be despair, heartbreak and frustration and ultimately song abandonment. The booze, therapy & meds cost me way more the Platform, so I'm thinking it's money well spent....LOL ....thanks so much for your insightful videos, just excellent.
I totally agree. A well designed desk for music production is worth the price. Everything is setup nicely so you can just focus on making music! I also have the desk and sidecar. It's an investment that will last you years!
Nice review. I'm a carpenter and have a little home studio set up at my place. I'm on holidays right now so I started making a desk today myself using their design. Adjusted the size and made it a little smaller by about 3/4 because I agree that it's too deep/tall when I saw the specs. Considering my material cost $250 CAD, it is a hefty price tag, but they had someone design, engineer, and manufacture it, and also have lots of employees/overhead to cover so I can understand the price.
Only half way through i had to pause and write a comment when you mention the price, initially i thought you were talking about thousands but then i realized when you said the total price was 1000$, for a high quality desk (or any piece of quality furniture for that matter) this is NOT expensive. Professional woodworkers and furniture makers price their creations for thousands of dollars and love it or hate it, its the price you paid for a quality hand made piece of furniture. Ikea and the like have brought down significantly the price perspective of furniture but along with it comes the quality. I dont know what the quality of this desk is but imo a piece of furniture is something that should outlast your own lifetime rather than be replaced after 5 or 10 years.

Congrats!! Your setup looks cozy. I’ve had this desk for almost a year, waited 3 months for delivery. Love it!! Have a big-ass 88 key Arturia in the keyboard tray. I got the side car after a while too. I’ve experimented with various stuff in the 3U rack spaces, but currently I’ve got nothing mounted in them. Instead, I just push stuff back in there to get it out of the way (looking at you TD-3). The side car has enough rack space for my rackable stuff. My 27” computer display is pulled all the way forward on the near edge of the raised bridge, not pushed back, or I couldn’t read anything. My studio monitors are bigger than your Adam’s and just barely fit. It’s never seemed too big for my small 11’ x 10’ home studio. It’s solid furniture, but I am careful not to damage it. ~
I'm in the process of getting a simliar desk built by a custom furniture maker - not much more expensive but it addresses the four biggest gripes I have with this one: first, the top shelf should only cover the left and right racks so you can put your monitor on the main surface. Of course, that means you need to widen the desk a bit for the screens most people use these days. Second, the keyboard tray didn't extend far enough back in the stowed positoin. I wanted mine completely out of the way, so it extends way back from the front and your knees can't hit it regardless of how high it is. That works well for me because I only pull out the MIDI keyboard maybe 15% of the time I spend at the desk, so I don't have to sacrifice ergonomics for the 85% of the time I'm not using it. Third, there's no finished veneer surface with rounded edges like on a "nice" piece of furniture, so it doesn't look like a "nice" piece of furniture. And fourth, those darn screw caps that show on the sides. Nothing says "cheap furniture" like those things. Output's desk is maybe worth the price but for just a bit more you can get something custom built that's both more functional and a "nice" piece of furniture.
So glad you adjusted your chair, it's so much bigger than I thought and I've been measuring out specs in my space... And it's so deep... As for price, it's not inexpensive, but in comparison to other pro audio work desks, it's on the cheaper-side, sometimes by as much as half or third. Plus I think the design more than makes up for it - it looks like a rugged piece of furniture, and not something so highly specialized for music that you couldn't still use it for normal desk activities.
I've had mine a year. Yup, huge. Yup, heavy AF. Yup, expensive. I also got the side car--and might get a second. I got a dual monitor stand that works magic. 9.5/10 -- would recommend, the major negative is the weight when getting around back to adjust some cabling.
Had one for nearly 2 years and it's been incredible. It's also wearing well. It's not without its problems but small compared to how great these things are over all!
Had mine for a few months. Took forever to arrive. Putting together was easy enough. Does the job. It's not going to change your life but it's definitely worth it unless if you're a carpenter or know someone who can build a better desk.
I've had the Platform for a couple years now and I love it! But I use in the traditional way with my synth controller on the bottom tray and the qwerty on the desktop. And like you said the cable management is really nice. I even got the matching side rack. Worth the price in my opinion.
Do you find the desk is ergonomic when using your qwerty keyboard in that configuration? In other words, do you find the desk works well outside of music context (like general productivity)? This is an important aspect that I’m trying to figure out, as I need to use this desk for programming & music. Thanks so much if you or anyone has any info on this!!
I also got the Platform. I chose grey, which let me wait even longer for it to be delivered. I was given an Output plugin for free as compensation. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the keyboard tray, as I share the room with my wife and it would have taken too much space. Price tag is huge, especially adding shipping and tax, but now I have it I'm glad.
I've been eyeing this desk for awhile and was kind of ready to buy it, but they've been out of stock FOREVER; however, I'm reconsidering after hearing how big this thing is. My place is small and I think this would actually be like having a washer and dryer in the room.
Thank you! This is exactly how I’m setting this up. I think this is by far one of the best ways to use it. I’d highly recommend upgrading your monitor size.
Yo same! I love the look of the Output desks but I also want an adjustable height feature in a desk as well. Have you found anything else? I’m still searching
I have both, the Output desk is in my music studio and the Uplift desk is my home office desk. I really do wish I could stand in the studio, but you can't beat the amount of surface area the Output desk provides (with the keyboard tray). Three tiers of surface just really lets me create a centralized command center with all my devices within reach. If you don't have a bunch of synths, drum machines, effects, midi controllers etc... the Output might be overkill and having the ability to stand would be more important, but if you've got a lot of boxes the Output is pretty sweet.
I bought this but then I returned it cause I realized I actually liked my setup right now and I didn’t have the space for it in my room. Thanks for the review. It satiated me need to have it
One of the few music YT people that can make a non-musical video still engaging and fun to watch. Thanks for this Ricky. Also because you're not using the soundcraft in this setup I'm really curious how your audio routing is. Consider doing an updated audio connections walkthrough?
Thanks for the review. Been eyeing this desk with keyboard tray for quite a while. Yes it’s expensive but considering that custom desks with keyboard trays (mostly used for 88 key controllers) run around 3k-5k the Output seems pretty reasonable. Cheers!
I just received delivery and brought the 3 boxes up stairs to my office and put it together by myself (not recommended but it wasn't that bad)--it is heavy AF and about as sturdy as any furniture I've ever had. The parts have changed a bit since they made the instruction video. Getting the tray in was a b*tch and initially it wouldn't pull out more than 5 inches but I somehow got it to pull out all the way--15 inches. Extremely impressed with its superb quality and smart design. I could see this going for $2,500+ fully assembled. Don't know if I'll put a Mac or PC on it--leaning to Mac to go with an Apollo Twin Quad.
Recently upgraded my studio desk space too. 2 long IKEA desks for plenty of room for my synths and stuff. Definitely makes music making more enjoyable and easier. Nice
Thanks for posting. Price is reasonable compared to many others. But, it's relative too since we don't always have extra cash to spare. Musicians are often cash poor and in my case, being retired means I don't bring in much bacon any more. Not sure if I'll build or buy right now, but appreciate your review, so thanks again for having posted this.
Have this desk as well. Love it. Huge upgrade to workflow and the cable management is a neat freaks dream come true. I have the Arturia Keylab mkii 88 which is large and heavy and the keyboard tray handles it. Note there are some 88 key controllers that will not fit on the tray. Check the output site for the list of supported controllers.
This is the cheapest good desk out there, Ricky! Not sure why you're bothered by the price... I paid $1,000+ for every studio desk I've had. Anyways, hope you're doing well man (seems like you are)! I'm about to buy one of these, the sidecar, and the speaker stands. I was debating the gray vs this color and I think your video has now convinced me to go with the dark brown... it looks different in the pictures on their site vs here. Keep up the good work bro! (this is Brandon from Perfect Circuit btw! I'm in Texas these days, though.)
Nice desk. Beautiful. Congrats! I bought a 6ish feet Akai table (not desk) and it has been the decision I’ve made. Plenty of space and allows me to change easily by adding and subtracting when needed with monitor stands and space for my own storage containers underneath. I should mention I owned a desk with rack spots, but it just never worked for whatever gear I owned at the moment and I always felt like the bottom rack was a pain to use. Anyway... happy tracking and good luck.
great video. please please make another video on the blackbox, like maybe sampling through the input and chopping stuff up to make a song. youre the best youtuber to do it. luv u
Hi Ricky great review on this desk. I have a regular foldable table I bought from staples and I've had for years and it's time I get a professional quality music production desk such as the one you got. But I'm gonna wait cause i'm gonna be in the process of moving so I'd like to buy that desk for the new place i'm moving to. I was also looking at other companies that make desks for music production but this one impressed me a lot.
I decided to build my own version of this desk which ran me about $250 at the end of everything. Some good youtube videos on how to do it. Definitely took several days, though!
Geezer font size, love it 😅 Same here. I find myself leaning forward and squinting all the time, especially if the keyboard tray is pulled out. Only con I can see after ~ 8 months of use 👍🏻
Hey!! Thanks for the review! I don’t like a desk that deep. I just got reading glasses to see what I’m doing on my iMac 5k and that’s on my IKEA desk... So far back with output you would need a 65” 😂 Amazing review! Just as I imagined, it’s too big for me. I want to sit close to the master keyboard and have my monitor screen and my monitors a bit closer than this. And I’m a dwarf... I see you have long arms! I wish I had that ❤️they say long arms long... 😂😂😂
For the price I thought the materials and quality were low for the output. For $500 worth of top notch materials (the highest quality beech hardwood veneered marine plywood) I designed and build a custom desk with a friend that means I don’t have to live with the compromises of desks designed by others. I get not everyone has the time or desire to build their own.
I insisted on having a rack bridge with my monitor and all rack gear right in front of me on my desk for a few years. I recently got sick enough of straining my neck or having to elevate my chair in order to comfortably sit at my desk and use the computer, I couldn't help but remember before I got into music when I could sit way back in my chair and lounge while browsing the web. I moved the racks to the side. There are tons of other rack unit storage options, it may look pro having racks right up front, but it isn't necessarily any more efficient. Get a rack stand or two, or three, cabinet, whatever, but no one should have to fight to be close enough to see their monitor, doing that made my huge widescreen monitor ineffective because I had to magnify everything! Now I sit level with my monitor and it's a million times better. I dealt with that nonsense for too long because I wanted it so bad to look like a pro studio desk... not important.
You have a super English personality, very familiar as I'm British. You are analytical and slightly grumpy (in a good way) I think the price is competitive btw. Your channel is great.
When I was young, I used a dresser drawer for my 2 turntable + mixer setup. Put it four feet from the wall, and stood behind it with the drawers facing the room. That showed my that I can never ‘sit’ behind a desk and be creative with music..feels like an office job with that setup.
Just got mine assembled 2 days ago and I’m shipping it back tomorrow. Im an average five foot ten American. This desk has the absolute strangest height and proportions. To me it seems as though they researched the precise sizes and proportions needed to induce maximum discomfort and don’t ask me about the blue lady I saw in the bathroom mirror this morning. Holy shit it’s all just come back damn I lost it.
I luv your channel man...You keep it real & that means a lot these days. I’ve been looking at this desk for a minute as well, glad U shared your thoughts on it. Oh yeah the price compared to similar desk is pretty good - It’s the shipping items & the damn tax of course I hate paying lol 😂 ...🤦🏾♂️
I looked at this desk, but honestly for how much stuff I have it's too small. I ended up building my own. It took me 2 weeks to do, but I made it the way I needed from a length and width perspective. I recently added a monitor extension to it to sit my mega big Samsung widescreen monitor with it's mega big base.... the monitor arm I originally was using broke... due to the weight of this monitor.... I like the Argosy 15L it is more in line with what I really need. The ability to have that longer middle section for the monitor from a desk perspective. I like the look of the wood with the Output desks... if they change the design to be longer and without the high shelf for the monitor it would be nice.
Great video! I have been considering these types of studio desks for a spell, but like you pointed out, they are expensive. However, I may just buy one in the near future.
I have this same desk, same color. Great minds think alike. That keyboard tray can be sharp! I also really like my MIDI keyboard on the lower tray and QWERTY up top.
I have the same desk and love it for the most part. I’m just under 6’ tall and I do have to constantly check my posture to be able to comfortably look at the monitor. I try not to spend too much time staring at the computer so it’s not a huge deal.
I bought a 50$ desk at walmart and then about 50$ of lumber and just screwed in tiers and a keyboard tray with 2x6s for like 100$. Re-enforced the back with a slab of plywood and drilled in dollar store hooks to cradle the wires. Literally all I did was make a couple cuts and got some paint. My job was pretty amateur, but if I were going to spend, for 1000$ it's way better to hire a carpenter to build a custom desk. For starters you can ergonomically size it to your needs. It will actually be more sturdy and durable too, because most companies use shitty mdf. For far less than 1000$.
About to set this exact desk up tomorrow with a friend. Hoping it doesn't take too long or isn't too difficult. Great review. I'm a little concerned now about how far out I'll be from the monitor when fully extended but I'll deal.
I’m thinking of getting this desk but I’m interested to see if I can turn it into a standing desk with the standalone parts from autonomous. Those side panels look tricky though.
From my personal (and french) point of view, I feel all those homestudio dedicated desks very very very expensive... For my own homestudio I decided to create my own private desk and it did cost me less than 100 euros (= 119, 06 USD) : I bought the wood and feet and some white sticky plastic cover and that was it... However, I like yours, it seems nice and practical... And expensive as well.
I just use a regular kitchen table(160x90cm, 5.3x3ft) and it’s plenty of space. Monitors on stands. Two rack cabinets on wheels, one on the left, one on the right side of the table. There’s space under the table for a keyboard/synth with additional keyboard stand. All that for 200 to 300€, depending if you already got a spare kitchen table.
The price is pretty reasonable compared to other desks. It is a really nice desk for making music. Other desks in the price range feel cheap. The desk is built really well.
Thanks! I'm searching an stand like the one you have on the back. I want to have one with a color that fits with the output platform desk. It that the Ikea KALLAX black-brown 77x147? Cheers!
Hey man you appear to be such a cool, correct, honest and down to earth soul, that I thought I can directly ask you if you don't want to change the links to all the gear one could buy... I know that Amazon is (in most cases) the cheapest and easiest way to get your stuff but fuck its just not cool what they're doing! And because you have quite a range and an impact on people I think it would be a good role model thing! How ever you may decide, I am glad if you just think about what I try to get across! :) ✌& respect
Hey Ricky! love your videos. Have you done a video on your Adams monitoring system? If not I would love to hear about how you feel about it as I have been considering the same system. Thanks!
I had in 2009 an Zaor Terra was horrible un ergonomic to me and 2013 miza 88...the output desk reminds me on the Zaor miza desk, it was not usable for me, its way to big had to reach to the front all the time also to look up had me break my neck...way to high. Even when I bought two 34" inch monitors on 1080p...it was all a mess 😂 had lots of drum Maschines on the desk wich I bearly used because of the height and depth even when I raised the chair on eye level etc. It was all to far away...now I have the cheapest Ikea desk and I'm happy it's more a paino type of sitting position and that's how i work for hours without neck or shoulder problems... well I spend thousands of euros for experiments wich are now in the basement for 10 years or so 😩... Edit: forgot to say I'm 1,80m my chair was around 600€ an ergonomic one of course bla bla...so all I want to say is that I only was happy when I wasn't sitting...these desk are really not for everybody...
Major con that I haven’t seen listed: moving it. I’ve had to move it twice since I bought it in 2018 and now I’m building out a studio in my basement and will be moving it down two flights. It doesn’t easily fit through standard doors or halls and wasn’t designed to come apart easily. Something else to consider...
@@RickyTinez I've moved it once and you can separate it into two or three big pieces relatively easily and kind of haphazardly reattach them. But definitely a pain.
Ricky Tinez Yes, like @mattb said below, it comes apart in big sections that will fit through a door/down a hall, but they are massive/unwieldy and leave the surfaces open to scratching. Also, be very careful not to over torque the bolts, easy to strip them. This is probably my main complaint with the desk: It’s huge and heavy, they designed it to ship easily and go together easily with absolutely no thought on moving it in/out of a home project studio, which is what it’s designed for. Granted, I’ve moved it more than most people probably have to, but you only have to move it once to realize this is an epic fail on Output’s part.
Its the Herman Miller Setu Chair. At least i hope so, bought it off Craigslist so might be the Fetu hahah. All i know is it IS comfy and i like it a lot. the arms get in the way of the desk sometimes but not terrible
I liked the idea of Platform but didn’t want to fork out the cash. I ended up building my own with the Platform’s dimensions as a guideline. Total cash was around $35.
reminds me of: Random Crocodile: Muuuum, can we have an OUTPUT Platform desk? Croc´s Mum: We have OUTPUT Platform desk at home (points at some cardboards + glue) or: If you order an OUTPUT Platform table on Wish, you get .... (decent pullouts are expensive as hell; It´ll be very interesting to know what you bought for $35 to build a comparable table.)
I am in between the output desk, ultimate support desk, buso audio composer or artist. Also have the studio furniture enterprise in mind but that thing is stupid expensive. I don’t use racks at all. Want space for hardware and enough space to have a small keyboard (mac keyboard) and a push 2 on a elevated platform. Keyboard at the end of the desk and push Infront of it if that makes sense

Hahaha I literally had the same 'Well this is officially expensive' reaction so let's spec it out while we can
I bought this but then I returned it cause I realized I actually liked my setup right now and I didn’t have the space for it in my room. Thanks for the review. It satiated me need to have it
One of the few music YT people that can make a non-musical video still engaging and fun to watch. Thanks for this Ricky.
Also because you're not using the soundcraft in this setup I'm really curious how your audio routing is. Consider doing an updated audio connections walkthrough?
for sure on the routing setup :)
@@RickyTinez fantastic! Always looking for ideas for my own space.
Thanks for the review. Been eyeing this desk with keyboard tray for quite a while. Yes it’s expensive but considering that custom desks with keyboard trays (mostly used for 88 key controllers) run around 3k-5k the Output seems pretty reasonable. Cheers!
Yes, “neatness” is a word.
Been eyeing this desk up vs. building my own for a few weeks now. Thanks for your insight. ✌🏽
Love you channel and your music bro
Just ordered mine! Excited to have a great work station!
LOL bruhhh "Geezer Mode" hahahahaha great review dude thank you!
I really like the design but i couldn't wait for delivery so i decided to build my own with same design. I love it.
Recently upgraded my studio desk space too. 2 long IKEA desks for plenty of room for my synths and stuff. Definitely makes music making more enjoyable and easier.
Nice
I feel ya... I got one of those uplift standing desks back when they were about this much. I friken love this desk thou!
Great timing on this video. I'm still on the hunt. Might have to go the modified route to get exactly what I need.
You definitely should
Thanks for posting.
Love your setup. It's really organized and clean. Nice product review. :)
Crazy timing man I just discovered this desk and was looking into it!! Love the videos dude thx!
I don't have this Music desk. But I saw on Reverb web page that it was over $970. 00 and that is not counting taxes.
It looks amazing. The only problem I see, is that your monitor (display) is too small :D
Love the setup Ricky! Desk looks nice.
Nice desk. Beautiful.
I was also looking at other companies that make desks for music production but this one impressed me a lot.
congratulations on the new studio desk. sound investment 👍🏼 (pun intended)
Thanks for this info!
So as a builder 3x times materials puts that desk you made at 1500$. I think 950 price tag shipped is a good deal. And I can make it as well.
Jordan Service indeed - it’s not a “bad” deal just not the higher quality materials I wanted for my own desk.
@@eikarumba429 Haha true! I made mine out of solid Mahogany.
"Geezer Mode" LOL!
Awesome Review! I just got mine delivered yesterday - to Australia!! It was insanely expensive, your review was great though thanks!!
What are speaker stands that Ricky is using? They look dope.
I have an Ultimate Support Studio Desk and have run into similar pros and cons with your Output desk.
You have a super English personality, very familiar as I'm British. You are analytical and slightly grumpy (in a good way) I think the price is competitive btw. Your channel is great.
Probably because I’ve worked with Novation (UK company) for 5 years now haha
I liked how you made a video for the Platform but draw the attention completely to the “secret” delivery ;-)
Ironically enough, I want this desk as a space saver. Being able to keep my key board out of the way would be absolutely game changing.
Mine came with the rack holes misaligned on one side. Had to drill my own.
This thing is okay but not the best quality..
I chose the Ikea Idåsen 160x80cm. I can raise it to a standing height when my butt gets numb. It can lift 75kg. The Output desk was always sold out.
Man I wanna get this so bad but no available in Canada
Great video! I have been considering these types of studio desks for a spell, but like you pointed out, they are expensive. However, I may just buy one in the near future.
I have this same desk, same color. Great minds think alike. That keyboard tray can be sharp! I also really like my MIDI keyboard on the lower tray and QWERTY up top.
Good to know! Maybe i'll swap it this weekend and see how it feels :)
I have the same desk and love it for the most part. I’m just under 6’ tall and I do have to constantly check my posture to be able to comfortably look at the monitor. I try not to spend too much time staring at the computer so it’s not a huge deal.
This is the best deal in terms of features, quality, utility and overall value for the money. As far studio workstation desks go.
Fonts on geezer mode! Yes for me it's either that or wear glasses all the time.
7:49 That's the point. That's it. That's what this review should be about.
I don't think the price really factors in. How much do those monitors or the MPC or the Deckard's Dream cost?
About to set this exact desk up tomorrow with a friend. Hoping it doesn't take too long or isn't too difficult. Great review. I'm a little concerned now about how far out I'll be from the monitor when fully extended but I'll deal.
What a cool chair. Who makes it and where can I get it?
I’m thinking of getting this desk but I’m interested to see if I can turn it into a standing desk with the standalone parts from autonomous. Those side panels look tricky though.
I think you'd have to saw off the legs below the main desktop part...I was thinking about this too
From my personal (and french) point of view, I feel all those homestudio dedicated desks very very very expensive...
That settles it. Buying one.
Thanks! I'm searching an stand like the one you have on the back. I want to have one with a color that fits with the output platform desk.
It that the Ikea KALLAX black-brown 77x147?
Cheers!
Love the desk, but dude awesome chair can you let me know who makes it. Thanks
new version comes out, lots of upgrade
Hey man you appear to be such a cool, correct, honest and down to earth soul, that I thought I can directly ask you if you don't want to change the links to all the gear one could buy... I know that Amazon is (in most cases) the cheapest and easiest way to get your stuff but fuck its just not cool what they're doing! And because you have quite a range and an impact on people I think it would be a good role model thing! How ever you may decide, I am glad if you just think about what I try to get across! :) ✌& respect
Great video buddy.
Hey Ricky! love your videos. Have you done a video on your Adams monitoring system? If not I would love to hear about how you feel about it as I have been considering the same system. Thanks!
Thank you for the great review! What chair is that? It looks so comfortable for studio work!
Great video. It may be worth looking at a couple of adjustable stands for your monitors.....perhaps...👍🖖
Had no idea the Elektron boxes had Vesa mounts on the back. Sadly my Model:Samples doesn't... haha. Great review as always, man.
IKEA furniture can be mixed and matched for cheap audio desk. Lots of UA-cam videos showing solutions for those on a budget.
Thank you for your video I was thinking to get it but not any ore 😊
I tend to move every couple of years, do you think this desk can survive disassembly? Thanx for the video, I am actually in the market for a new desk.
I’m curious, too
Anyone? I rent and would need to disassemble and reassemble in the future.
Great review!
Awesome video thanks!
yo your videos are fucking amazing bro. this channel deserves so much more subs. i wish i could afford the sp404 or have all those synths. broke gang.
Great video, I'm on the verge of buying one. Quick question though, is that Camo wallpaper behind you? It looks amazing! Where do I get it?
Oh. I didn’t think about that at all, when you moved it have you taking it apart? Or was it too difficult to do so?
Definitely. Anything big I ALWAYS consider what moving it later would be like. Studio desk, aquarium, dressers, cabinets, etc.
Super helpful review. Much appreciated! Also, what kind of chair do you have looks comfortable?
Its the Herman Miller Setu Chair. At least i hope so, bought it off Craigslist so might be the Fetu hahah. All i know is it IS comfy and i like it a lot. the arms get in the way of the desk sometimes but not terrible
@@RickyTinez Thank you!
I liked the idea of Platform but didn’t want to fork out the cash. I ended up building my own with the Platform’s dimensions as a guideline. Total cash was around $35.
How? I built my own as well, the plywood alone was 200
reminds me of:
Random Crocodile: Muuuum, can we have an OUTPUT Platform desk?
Croc´s Mum: We have OUTPUT Platform desk at home (points at some cardboards + glue)
or:
If you order an OUTPUT Platform table on Wish, you get ....
(decent pullouts are expensive as hell; It´ll be very interesting to know what you bought for $35 to build a comparable table.)
I would really like to see that 35 dollar desk.
Yeah, right. $35 would barely cover the rack rails.
Also built my own, total was around $250. i.imgur.com/kHHC71Y.jpg
Looks like you have to stand up to see and reach the 2nd & 3rd shelf as your legs won't go under that keyboard shelf if you up the chair height.
