_1 is the first-person version, this is what you see and look through. It's not exactly necessary, but typically they are of higher-definition, and with optics they are the ones that are working. For the case of 1st-person dot, there is this hidden bit of mesh that is only revealed when looking at it at a certain angle, which is through the mesh.
Man, I'm happy to see some new tutorials coming out. It feels like so many are old and outdated or rely to heavily on previous knowledge. Thanks for this.
Great tutorial! Would definitely love to see more from you. I don't know if I'll ever get to modeling as I'm still toiling away on my companion mod but maybe someday, who knows. With tutorials like these, anything is possible.
i just saved this one to a fallout 4 modding playlist, so many of the others dont specifically cover how to go from blender to creation club, you just made an old modder so very happy
omg thank you so much I have been trying to export the mesh to nif for years but all the plugins to programs I have tried are discounted you are a lifesaver
This video was very help full. I myself am a animator in fallout 4 but I am still not that knowledgeable in other aspects of fallout 4 modding. In the future if you ever want help learning how to make animations hit me up I am always happy to share what I know.
I have an unsolicited mod idea Modern/retro cars mod This would replace all the wrecked cars in fallout 4 with modern or retro vehicles Never seen anyone attempt this so it would be nice to see
I know nothing about modeling, texturing, animating, or guns, but I really want to make a mod that changes all the vanilla weapons to have right handed animations, tactical reload, bullet counted reload, and attachment pack support. Let's hope I don't give up because I'm way in over my head.
There are a ton of mods that do these things individually for most of the vanilla weapons but it's a nightmare to get them all working together and some weapons just don't have good reanimations like the smg. There are weapon replacers that do what I want but I like the look of the vanilla weapons (yes even the assault rifle and smg) and don't want to replace them.
my mesh has no holes in blender and also looks fine in outfit studios preview window, but as soon as i actually load it into outfit studio there massive chunks of it missing. Does anyone have an ideo on how to fix that?
Great tutorial, Do you happen to know how to sort the attachments? Mine go in alphabetical order, I tried everything the nexus forums say to changing the misc value but it does nothing. :(
I’ll only put a tutorial out if I know that it works, I’m not gonna post how to do a full weapon because I don’t know how yet lol. But I know that learning this stuff at first was difficult, it took 10 different videos and hours of filling in the gaps. I just wanted to get all that info into one place and share it with you guys

Thanks for the info, that makes a lot more sense
Is that why you can see the reflex sight when inspecting a weapon in-game?
@@danturtle381 Well yes.

With this info I feel so many old mods could get remastered like the bison shotgun
Never done modding before, but if I ever start ill keep this vid in mind. Good work on the vid and hope to see more like it
glad you did this my friend

Still super helpful!

MAKE MORE OF THESE THIS WAS GREAT
Great Vid! Awesome, to see you advancing your skills in the Modding Dept. A little, over my head atm.. That's, for sure :-/ Cheers - Jass.

I can’t wait to make a sniper scope for my combat knife!
Noice.
If you go to Edit & scroll down to Base mesh maps that'll get you onto the texture bake feature alot faster.
The next video should be how to release a mod lol I kid. just looking forward to it.
At the weapon workbench, when you go to scopes, is there a way to choose the order in which the scopes are listed? Thanks in advance! Subscribed!!

I have one question can you use like the Tactical modern armor at the same time as the Gunner overhaul mod
