      Sir tanong po. Paano po noong hinihigpitan ko yung drive shaft ng injector pump ay nag click 2to3 times yung parang umikot siya tapos noong inistart ko nag kakrank lang Pero ayaw na mag start at malakas vibrations tapos may naamoy akong nakakahilong amoy. Salamat po sa pagtugon.

    I have a 2L engine I tuned the same way :) how I did the real test was making sure I have a nice road and at 100km/h I suddenly hit full throttle. I can feel the power. But I found if it's too rich the engine will produce a lot of smoke and the power will decrease slightly untill a higher speed was achieved. So I back off the fuel screw 1/8 of a turn at a time untill at 100km/h again I can hit full throttle instantly and I feel no power loss and still observing the smoke. When it's got perfect power it's a mild gray minimum smoke. It's an odd way of testing but too much fuel it will bog down and I have a feeling that's due to the advancement mechanism inside the pump at a given rpm and load. So 100km/h was my base to start it with. The 2L I have is fully mechanical and non turbo. Really enjoyed watching your video too :)

    They say turn up the screw until you get smoke, then back it off... Max power should be produced just before you start producing smoke ... Smoke is unburnt fuel

    Be careful when adjusting the fuel enrichment screw. If fueling is too high, not only will there be excessive soot production, the exhaust gas temperatures will get exceedingly hot. In some cases, cause the engine to overheat. Don't ask. Take it from my experience.

      I’ve heard that in some situations, a high fueling might cause a runaway. Not too sure on 4D56.

    help brother i have a 4d56 pick up with the same pump my car is incredibly slow at low rpm like 1500 1600 its very dead and sometimes i see blue ish smoke from the exhaust the engine is not burning oil im thinking my pump is struggling and doesnt give enough fuel can i do this procedure plus my truck really struggles to go off boost.

      try to adjust the fuel screw. if it doesnt work then you maybhave a different problem

    Love your videos but my 4d56 is a turbo and electric throttle will it have the same screw as I’ve changed injectors and it’s still chucking a lot of black smoke thanks

      Thank you and im sorry.I believe what you have is the 4d56hp d1-d common rail. Cant say im familiar with that sytem, still learning, but i doubt you can adjust that manually. Everything is controlled by the ecu ( computer box). I believe the best course would be to get an OBD scanner and check for error codes.

    Have an L200 4d56 turbo intercooler giving me a lot of white smoke after diesel pump was serviced. Also timing mark on pump pulley is off by 1/2 a tooth. What am I missing?

      you can rotate the injector pump left and right like an distributor.that should be why you a half a tooth off

    Which is better?
    A lot of black smoke or no smoke?
    More smoke = more power? Or how?
    And about tmperature..is this affecting temperature as well? Like .too much fuel can caused engine overheating? Is that true?

      You need to find the balance, more power will give more smoke and higher power also increases temperatures. I believe the stock configuration of these engines are on the near-rich side, because since I decreased minr, (theres too much smoke whenever I speed up) I cannot reach 100kmh anymore lol

    Hi sir. Do you happen to have a video on how to adjust and introduce more diesel to a bosch CRDI fuel injectors? I specifically have KIA Sorento 2004. At cold start it has low power and having hard time to run but after being able to start running everything normalizes. The problem is from idle to start running. I replaced the fuel injectors the problem was solved but i want to know how to somewhat repair the defective fuel injectors and introduce more diesel to the injector. Thanks

      Aftermarket universal ac compressor You need to custom make a mount for it but its much cheaper compressor than the stock compressor

    great tutorial as always. I noticed that my injection pump fuel enrichment screw has a cover which keeps me from accessing the screw. Is it safe to just pull the cover off and wont it damage any of the parts near the screw..My van is Hyundai starex 97. Thank you in advance

      you might want to check for excessive blowby. turn d engine on. open oil cap. if you see a lot of oil spewing out thats an indication you have a worn out engine especially if theres is white smoke coming out as well. do the same procedure on the dipstick hole as well as the pcv. if youre engine is burning oil as well.

    hello , i have a hyundai galloper, with the d4bh engine which is the same as the 4d56t , thats in the pajero. , my engine has same fuel pump, my question is , on cold start , it is low on rpm i have to keep my foot on accelerator until it warms up and then it stays on the 700 rpm mark (normal) , how can i adjust the cold start idle but keep the same hot idle ?

    Hello, I own a Kia Cerato 1.6 crdi 136 HP vehicle. My car is at 86,000 km. Diesel is mixed with the engine oil, the oil level is constantly rising. There is no problem in the operation of my vehicle, the idle is normal, there is no noticeable black or white smoke from the exhaust. It works immediately with a single start in the morning, there is no problem. The technician said it could be the DPF and he removed the DPF and cleaned it in the machine. The DPF was around 40% full, but it was still cleaned. But that was not the solution either. Engine oil level continues to rise in my vehicle. I think there is no problem with diesel injectors because there is no indication of injector failure. The vehicle engine has a timing chain. Could it be from the high pressure diesel pump seal? Or what could be the problem? Could you help? Urgent. Thanks in advance

      Check oil level only after 2 hours or more after the engine has been shutoff. Check the condition of the oil, it might be coolant mixing eith it and not diesel.

      Big No...modern diesel engines like the one in innova d4d series all have ecu's that control the fuel delivery,injection timing, etc.

    i am having a hard time turning over the engine after installing rebuilt injectors. i thought i bled the lines of air but perhaps i did not do a good job. i have tried cranking 20 seconds at a time and letting the starter cool at least a minute in between and i have not been able to start it yet. any suggestions?> thank you

      Follow this method. Also try advacing the pump. Last resort try to squirt a little lighter fluid in the intake.

      @@MrDIYer okay i will try that. it started before i took out the injectors, though it was hard starting. i watched your video on crank/no start as well. i tried my best to bleed the IP all the way to the injectors. i have clear lines like you and i can see the IP has a solid line of fuel, but the outside of the IP won't fill the line with diesel. is this normal? will it fill once the engine successfully turns over? it tries and gets close to starting but won't stay running. i wonder if i flipped the shut off switch or something.

    Why after I adjust the screw counter clockwise...it get harder to start..after that I rotate again clockwise to position before adjust..but still same harder to start..and after adjust idle to around 900rp..after I try to put on throttle..and release It stall to 400 for several second like It want to shut off

      Are you sure the fuel system was bled properly after the lift pump and filter installed?

      There might be a plastic filter gause below the fuel in on the fuel pump housing blocked

      depende. kung ang cause ng vibration ng engine mo ay low rpm, pwede. pero kung may ibang sanhi tulad mg worn out engine support o out of timing ang balancer shaft di mo maayos yan sa pag adjust lng ng fuel screw.

    mabuhai, I have an L200 4x4 with same engine that I purchased recently. This pickup run underpowered and make lots of black smoke but only when accelerating.
    I haven't try anything yet the engine is very dirty and my plan is to clean first, But my though is if no one have touch the the fuel pump what can it be the issue?

      Have the same issue on our 4x2 L200, and the engine is NA and don't come with EGR btw
      Had thr injectors cleaned, smoke was reduced greatly but still not enough so I'm gonna do this soon and have the exhaust cleaned up

      Clean the strainer located at the injection pump

      Rebuild the pump. Injection pumps with bad seals will have power issues. I had an electric lift pump die and the mechanical pump had to do all the pulling from the tank... Well 20yo seals and then a failed lift pump and I had no choice but to have my pump rebuilt... Sometimes you just have to admit that there's only one thing you can do...

      Subukn nyo tangalin yung cover sir. Kung wala pa tlga na galaw yan marahil ay may wire pa din yan sa screw gling sa factory.
