Marcello is the only guy who could say “I understand women” and the girls cheer
Because he's cute enough that he can say it without sounding like a creep.
@@canaisyoung3601behavior and language is ONLY creepy if you don’t think the guy is cute.
At this show the crowd cheers ECSTATICALLY for nearly anything.
Breaking News: Women are hypocrites
Prince could’ve…and their pants would fall off. 😂
“at least he has a passion” 💀
And a job. Even if it's robbing banks.
Cause it's hard out there fir a biological female to find a STRAIGHT man who aint trifling as fuck. Mainly because his momma built him up as soooo special and his penis guarantees him entitlement in society. No matter the size
"God forbid a man has hobbies"
😛😝
he's not wrong though. We support each other even when its toxic! LOL.
"Okay, the salon do be sounding kinda fire."
I'M DEAD
He looked so embarrassed 😭 petition for Marcello to make Colin say more embarrassing things
I fully expected an intervention at that point. "Colin, we love you man, but don't you EVER..."
🤣
Biggest laugh in weeks
The instant regret 😭😭
I am crushing on Marcello Hernández. He's 100% genuine and adorable, and as if that weren't enough, he's also hilarious.
i'm an asexual dude and lowkey? i can see it
💯
He is adorable! And I can definitely see him being one of the girls. 🥰
@@demiurge2501How does that even work? I have a good friend who I think may be asexual. You probably accomplish SO much.
Me to he has an attractive charm to him 😍
Marcello is really hard not to like love see how much confidence he has grown this season hes got natural charisma imo.
and that confidence comes from knowing that being able to relate to women doesn't make him any less of a man, and actually makes him more attractive to women. more guys could stand to learn a thing or two from marcello!
My opinion is 100% the opposite...but then, I've watched the show for much of it's run. I KNOW Comedy, and this ain't it!

@@keithkoenig5320I bet you hate Pete too. Jealousy my guy.

Marcelo is one of the best things to happen to SNL in a long time.
Him and Bowen Yang 👍👍
@@isabelle843💯
@@isabelle843not Bowen!!! 🙄
@@javiruiz8365yes Bowen! Both are great
'Also a variety of other psychological and genetic issues but I don't have stand-up on that'
The man balanced seriouness and comedy of situation in one sentence
Riiiight! but hold on, did Marcello just, on the down low, say that Colin is gonna have another baby with Scarlett?
@@BooBuKittyPhuk Because of the glowing thing? I think that was just a compliment.
@@jamessirot854 yeah except people usually say women are glowing on their wedding day or when they're preggers, and since he made a point to say it, was laughing about it, and Colin's already married, it seems to me maybe Scarlett Johansson is pregnant again.
Mentioning a “disclaimer” at the end that invoked genetics was a balance!?
@@BooBuKittyPhuk no I think you're overthinking it.
I’m a guy brought up by all women and this is the realest sketch I ever saw.
OMG! Too funny🤣🤣
... Unlike the compliments and "support" women give each other! 😅
Fax 4real
"And he robs banks 😛" that delivery was spot on LOL
He's the only comic I've ever seen who isn't annoying when he laughs at his own jokes. He's just more adorable.
Marcello killed this! …Was I the only one hoping Pedro Pascal would pop out as Marcello’s mom?
Yes
"He's not depressed, he just like to sleep!"
I think we'll get there some day ;)
@@zoyadulzura7490 *The dark
Hahaha that would me amazing
i hope snl knows how much we love marcello. im a younger viewer (19) and sometimes jokes just dont connect w me, but when newer cast members like marcello, bowen, and michael show up, i know im abt to laugh hard and enjoy the show
I’m old, 68 years, and I love Marcello, too.
I saw 19 and I was like “nah you’re not that young, I find this funny too!”
Then I realized I’m 27 and that we’re probably not under the same demographic lol whoops
Its gen z vs millennial bs
I freaking love Marcello but I lost it when Colin said “Okay the salon do be sounding kinda fire” and then physically winced at what came out of his mouth.
That's because some writer (possibly Michael Che) wrote that to, once again, embarrass him.
genuinely was looking for this comment i had to pause to laugh at that bit for a solid few minutes
This dude is so talented. Everytime he gets screen time he delivers and kills it. Look forward to him becoming a main player.
marcello: 😁
audience: 🥰😍😩😭🥰
Latino dude here who grew up with his mom and older sister. Marcello's 100% right here.
Marcello Hernandez and Colin Jost are so good together. I hope Hernandez has more spots on Weekend Update.
It's like they're flirting. I love it

SNL talks more about depression awareness than the American educational system.
SNL's actors/actresses have a ton of history with depression and substance abuse. It's personal for them. Most people develop a sense of humor as armor against either trauma or mental health issues.
@@jenmatt1923You nailed it. Look at how many comedians have lost there lives in just the past couple of years. It's been a brutal time to observe these tragedies and nothing neww considering some of SNL's greatest.
Yes we need to teach this new generation who think depression and anxiety are cool that self diagnosing isn’t the answer. Just because you’re sad sometimes doesn’t mean you have depression. And it doesn’t give you the right to talk about/make fun of people that really do suffer from the illness.
Pete Davidson era is what really kicked it off to be talked about on air a lot.
@@Possiblechange I think it's because a lot of popular artists like Taylor Swift, Lana del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo, etc. sing about their depression and also sing about characters with NPD, HPD, BPD, etc. type of personalities who are at the end of their rope. So zoomers and millennials who grew up on Taylor Swift and Pete Davidson think they know what it's like. But since they're familiar with some of what it's like, there's a lot they can learn about how to be friends and allies with people with depression and personality disorders.
isn’t he glowing ?!😂😂 love Marcello so much
Wonder was he saying He's about be a Pops?
@@ClifftonCrowder-yt2gt i think its b/c of colin's recent-ish interview with his wife scarlett and her skincare line - they made a joke about how his comedian friends are going to be so impressed with his skin now
Marcello's smile is gorgeous
The saddest part is how freakin true this is. I also avoid barber shops in favor of salons for this exact same reason! lol
i avoid barber shops AND salons cause i'm broke af, pass me those clippers from temu
Funny enough, I used to do that too. Until I realized I was probably screwing up my hair more than helping it. lol@@dietotaku
My barber is a friendly dude luckily, and he respects my desire to just be silent if I don’t feel like talking. But sometimes we have good chats too
This makes me want to work at a salon just to welcome yall lol
Nah buddy you’re a pussey if you think the barbershop is hard
He brings such fresh energy. And non cliche.
Marcello has the best voice.
So fun to see Marcello blossoming on SNL. This was hysterical and you could see he was having fun with it, too. AND he's cute.😍
Love the little love tap Colin gave Marcello at the end. You can tell he's really proud of him.
the tongue in cheek thing he does when he tries to not laugh has me FERAL
Happy to see Marcello thriving.
This is the kind of humor that I like! It was funny, it was positive and it was kind. I can appreciate other humor, but this just makes me smile. Way to go!
Saw him at a comedy club a few months ago and he was trying out these jokes. Love seeing them on air!
Oh my goodness Marcello is such a cutie, his comedy and timing is so perfect. He is such a genuine Sweetheart
I’m gay and am very confused at how attracted I am to this proud Latina woman
His voice is hot
he is hot
Real
Ironically, Marcello does look as if he's been to a barber or salon, but that curly dark mop totally works on him. Adorable, funny, and bilingual -- total package.
This was brilliant! He absolutely nailed it! Effortlessly executed 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
OMG!! FINALLY another Marcelo skit! How is this guy so freaking hilarious? I've been watching his old stuff for months waiting for some new material. GIVE US A NETFLIX SPECIAL ALREADY!!!!!!
Master Class in owning the issue just adjacent to the topic at hand.
His little addendum at the end that kind of acknowledges that is hilarious. Marcelo brings such a great energy to the show.
@@zoyadulzura7490 And I want everyone to know that I fully support Marcelo and always will, that cute little Prince of Short Latino Men Who Understand Women. 😊
The tongue on he robs banks 😂😂😂 he’s hilarious
The tongue killed meeeeee😂😂😂😂
Marcelo makes me proud to be Cuban. Love seeing my fellow Latinos succeed .
“And he robs banks. 😛” 🤣🤣🤣
Okay but Marcelo is so handsome though 😍
Little prince like me 🤣 I can relate Marcello 😂
He did his best trying not to break when mentioning " im dating this guy and he robs banks.."
And "at least he has a passion."
OK Colin and then you'll say 'the salon do be sounding kinda fire...'
Did y'all catch Marcello say Colin is glowing? 😂Referencing the video he did with ScarJo and him using the beauty products. He sarcastically said the comedians on his show would bring up he was glowing!!😂😂😂
i need more marcello! he never misses!
Marcello is soooo amazing… This sketch makes him shine like no other
Marcello killed it!
Marcello tapped it! Emotional Isolation will sicken and injure anyone, and men go there or get put there way too much.
The phobia, for men among men, to be vulnerable or relate sensitively and supportively with each other is common....even praised where 'macho' isn't a dirty word.
I think it is Homophobia that gets most of the credit for this. Ridiculing boys, and men when they show weakness, gets the rest of the credit
Yup! Men are too often conditioned to think they're not "real men" if they ask for help with anything.
Also some women are also very sexist and if you show emotion to them it's like they witness something repulsive.
Also if you grew in toxic latino culture in South America, the norm is that the women and men around you, growing up as a kid, is to teach to not to cry like a girl. My mom would discourage that, even though trying to listen to my problems. But yeah, no support in either women or men.
There's also the loss of men spaces whilst women creating or conservating their own exclusive spaces to vent and be there.
@@AfreshioYou need to remember that it all comes back to the patriarchy and misogyny. Women are also victims to it, and internalize a lot of what men taught other men. Women adopted a lot of that. There’s women who believe women are weak, that women don’t deserve to be in positions of power and shouldn’t have the right to vote and those same women are the ones who believe men shouldn’t cry and that men are stronger, smarter etc. because of those beliefs against women, they believe men should be more superior and thus not behave feminine (I.e - weak, crying, showing emotion).
Furthermore in no way, is creating safe spaces for women, a threat to men. Men being a threat to women is what called for the isolation or segregation between genders.
That’s no excuse for men to not be able to create their own safe spaces amongst each other. If you look at whose behind all the “Men’s Mental Health Awareness” campaign, it’s always majorly women (especially in my country) because women seem to care about men’s mental health more than men unfortunately.
I have recently become OBSESSED with Marcello. Let him on update every week!
I really wish they used Marcello more, he's so versatile and approachable.
He was totally adorable here
Holy moly this guy’s good. He’s really good
Marcello is taking over. Since day one when he showed up. 😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
I just need Marcello in my life
Weekend Update never fails to hit
Sometimes it do be failing tho /s
It's been winning for years
I love that whenever he's about to break he shoves his tongue in his cheek 🤣
It's rare for an snl sketch to actually drop wisdom on us
Yeah. Most times, it's preachy and forgets to cut that with humor. Glad to see SNL actually doing it right for a change.
Wow he's so confident in this I love it!!☺😍he's adorable & has natural charisma
1:43 - To be fair, robbing a bank looks good in a silk robe 👘🙌
I went through a breakup a couple years ago and one of my buddies was like "you think too much bro. Women are gonna f+ck you over. Let's get a burger."
Real
Bro didn’t give you a shoulder to cry on, that ain’t right yo. But hopefully the burger was good. And sometimes it does help to not think about it

“Where have you beeen” 😂😂
MARCELLO IS AN ICON

Love how he is having fun makes us have fun with him!!! Love that he is latino
The salon do be sounding kinda fire 🤦🏽♂️.
Love Marcelo; one of the best new cast members in years!
"A proud latina woman." Hell yessss.
Love how Marcello throws Colin off & makes him look uncomfortable.
2:39 HAHAHA, they wrote Colin a line that clashes with his buttoned-up, rigid whiteness.
Marcello oozes "yeessssssss"❤😂
I have the biggest crush on Marcello for a long time, omg 👀💓
"Go to Chilli's and wait for the next one, bro." 😂
I'm in love with him
I would like to see Saturday Night Live make a Netflix One Piece parody sketch with Marcello as Inaki Godoy/Monkey D. Luffy.
They've waited a bit too long since the release, but when season 2 drops, they should capitalize on the opportunity, you're right.
You think an snl audience knows what One Piece is?
@@barryg.3470The portion of the audience whose fav SNL segment is Please Don't Destroy are 30s and younger.
I don't think SNL's current writers are that familiar with anime. They might do it, since they know how to parody Netflix series (especially the documentaries), but I wouldn't hold my breath. We need a competitor sketch show (in the veins of MADtv or SCTV) that does nothing but mock current movies and TV shows in the age of streaming and Internet.
@@canaisyoung3601There are UA-cam channels like that. The reason SNL uploads their entire show to UA-cam is to compete with those types of channels.
Marcello is totally hilarious - and he always seems like he is having so much fun in all of his skits - even when he has to have a serious face 😄
I lost count of how many times I've watched this so far!!! 😂
I love him so much. Protect him at all costs.
This made me in love with Marcello
I actually love him so much I have since the baseball bit he did close to his debut

This whole bit was fantastic! On point and hilarious too!!!
Marcello is gold. ¡ORO!
There was a woman, a lesbian who did an experiment passing as a het man for a year and wrote a book i think in early 2000s and said living a het man made her suicidal. (This is not a trans person at all, which may matter, it is not meant to be applied to trans and/or gay men, who are often connected to LGBT communities and networks plus trans men move to living as men under the pressure of dysphoria - escaping from something unwanted - so their experiences comparing life as a man to previous are likely to be much more liberatory and positive overall.) The experimentor divorced herself from LGBT community for her experiment. She said despite being taken more seriously at work, living as a straight man was very depressing. It was not just because she was forcing herself to be seen in a way she did not identify with, she expected that and coped. She said what really affected her was the way het men treat ec other was so shitty, toxic, competitive and isolating, and how their only source of real friendship and basic human support had to be sought from women in their lives. That despite even inequalities, women had so much more opportunity to be resilient and psychologically healthy because their relationships with other women were essentially supportive and like having therapy. She didnt use the term "toxic masculinity" (it wasnt really a popular term yet) but its essentially what she was talking about.
You are so full of bullshit with what you wrote. … for example “She joined a men's bowling team, where she says, "[the men] just took me in ... no questions asked." forgot the part when she talks about how women treated men… that was so horrible that it triggered her depression !
The most difficult and surprising experience was trying to meet and date women and all the challenges and difficulties men have. Before she die she said “Men are suffering. They have different problems than women have, but they don't have it better. They need our sympathy, they need our love, and they need each other more than anything else. They need to be together." She never said anything about toxic males or anything like you idiot!!!
i like to point out that "toxic masculinity" was not a term coined by feminists, in the 80s there was this movement called the "mythopoetic mens movement" basically they were trying to redefine masculinity in the modern world, lots of weekend retreats in the woods and talking about their feelings, basically the guy that coined the phrase, Shepard Bliss, was talking about the risk that if men didn't find a healthy way to adapt to the modern world, we were going to go basically feral and emphasize the worst traits. and with people like andrew tate...gotta tell you, bullseye.
@@ryanweible9090It's such a useful term on a societal level, as well as on an individual one as it was first used, which is why it has shown up in so many feminist works.
Most divorces in the world are betwen lesbians 78% i wonder way?

Please keep him in SNL 4ever!!!!

I gotta say, I was a lil nervous about a new cast having to follow the Aidy/Cecily/Kate/Beck years, but this cast is nailing it. They all have really strong niches as well as perfect rhythm with the other cast members. I’m loving this season.
