Little Lancelot is such a little dear and great greeter! Glad you got to tay and see how lovely in person it is! Evidently Stephanie was not ther at the time, but perhaps you met natti or Amaury? Rely nice Marie was th eand she plays a large part too, in the Chateau life. She will carry on, when no one else is around,
Hello Carol and thank you so much for joining us on our journey and we are so happy that you enjoyed! Our family time and the wedding was amazing and yes, the Noble farm was fantastic! Chateau de Lalande was as gorgeous as we had imagined it be and the first signs of spring were everywhere. We felt honoured to tour the Chapel and Marie was such a delight. Unfortunately it was a time when the others were away or on time off, before the big guest season, so we only met Marie and Lancelot! Plus the peacocks of course! We also met the restorers and in particular chatted with the architect, who was lovely! Fortunately I speak fluent French so that was handy! Thanks again for watching 🥰🤩🤗💖
Thanks for sharing your journey in France: the wedding & Chateau de la Lande - one of my favourites. Your old ( literally ) village looks so quaint as well. Bon vacance
Thank you for taking us to your nephew's wedding and your former home town. That was fun. Lalande looked very quiet I guess Stephanie was off on a trip when you popped by. I envy your talent of language. Your French is lovely. Best wishes from Toronto 🇨🇦😊💐
Hello Lauren! Yes our French journey was so delightful and yes Lalande was very quiet that day as it was everyone’s day off and Marie was holding the fort! We have a lovely time all the same. Thank you so much ♥️🫶🏼🥰🙏🏼
Thanks for sharing! Must have been a really eventful stay in France. Wedding a whole weekend, wow. The Chateau - tres magnifique! Your earlier hometown looked nice, Marisa. Hugs ❤💙💚
Hello Joan! Thank you so much for watching! We are still in France but leave soon and it’s been a lot of fun and great times! So much to see and do as well! See you next time 🥰🇫🇷😍💋
What a fabulous video. I’m so happy you met Marie who, to me, is the star of Chateau de Lalande with her incredible cooking - the thought that goes into her culinary creations is inspiring (I’m still not going to cook though 😂😂). I actually had an accepted offer on an apartment in the south of France (and was considering a home which appeared to be in a wooded location until I discovered it was actually on the intersection of 2 roads 😂😂😂) but decided on Tuscany instead. No regrets at all on my decision ❤❤
Oh thank you so much Carolyn! Marie was absolutely adorable and we actually had so much in common. We could have chatted for days but we squeezed a lot into a couple of hours! 😁 I didn’t remember your story about France! Thank goodness that didn’t go through as your home in Tuscany is gorgeous and we love you as a neighbour! Sending big hugs 🤗♥️🥰🫶🏼💋
What incredible weather for the reception. One of those pics in your room looked like the Old Custom House on Dorsoduro. Looking forward to reading your books & great to see David being so stoic as you revisit your past! Jealous about the foie gras and duck 😋❤
Hello my lovely friends! We had fabulous weather in general and just loved the wedding and the rest of our adventure on our way here. David is enjoying everything including too much fabulous food and wine LOL Thank you so much for joining us! xoxoxo
It is the first time I am watching your videos. I have just subscribed...you are a great couple. Thank you for being there. I am a modern language teacher, I have just got retired...I really enjoy meeting people like you. Keep safe. Lots of hugs. Luisa

Oh thank you so much Peter! We love that photo too which Marie too for us! She’s such a sweetheart. The chapel is such a wonderful achievement and we even got to chat with the architect that day! What an honour. Thank you so much for watching 🥰♥️🫶🏼
Yes my sweet! We made it there and Marie was the sweetest and kindest person...we got on so well and I truly hope to see her again one day. We had such a lovely stroll around the grounds, in the chapel and a fabulous afternoon coffee with Marie. We feel very honoured and I hope they enjoy reading my books. 🥰🤗😍😘
@@talesfromtuscany I just discovered your channel & was happy to see you visited Lalande & met Marie. I have watched CD for years. I also watch Sergei & Aya and look forward to seeing your visit with them at Lake Como. Have subscribed.
@@lindascott2008 oh that’s so lovely of you to join us Linda and yes we were so blessed to visit Lalande with the gorgeous Marie. Unfortunately as you might see if you follow us, our trip to Como was cancelled as I ended up in hospital after a bad fall on Lake Garda. Have been there recuperating ever since! Alla and Sergi have told us to come back whenever we like and we will definitely do that in the future. They’re so sweet! I did get to visit with the lovely Darlene and Shaun, from “Darlene in the Dordogne” so you might enjoy that future vlog. The area isn’t far from my old home and it’s a stunning part of France. Thank you so much for watching! ♥️🥰💋🫶🏼
@@talesfromtuscany Sorry to hear of your bad fall, and hope you recover quickly. I understand how much patience it can take to wait for things to get back to normal after an injury, having done so recently myself. At least Spring at Lake Garda is some comfort. Dear Marisa & David! Beautiful days in France, meeting family and friends - and past. But I am sure, being back to Italy, lovable Tuscany, Chianni, will warm your hearts a little more 😉❣ As usual: love and hugs from 🇦🇹Austria, Sabine.
Ciao Sabine! We are still travelling through the southwest of France and it's extremely beautiful but we are also thinking forward and are excited for our return to wonderful Italia...still some adventures to follow for now! Big hugs and thank you xoxoxox

An electrical cable was pulled loose and when it came down so did a huge stone that fitted into the side of the dormer window. It was huge and required a bucket loader to lift it.

No we didn’t. It didn’t coincide with our days free as they only take people on the weekends. As we had applied as volunteers, they were happy to meet us, which was lovely of them. I also wanted to give them my books to read as I thought Stephanie might like them. 🥰🇫🇷♥️🫶🏼

I thought the Chateau de la Lalande website says “ no video taping permitted”
Yes we videoed our arrival and asked Marie what we could do once inside. I’ve made the video from photos or « live » iPhone photos in slowmo.
I think if it’s another chateau owner/ UA-camr it’s allowed because it’s free advertising for her and she’s all about the advertising
@@supremlyfoxylass I think they allow friends to film but as we’d never met before, we were permitted to take photos. We are ok with that ♥️🥰
What is going on in the LaLande courtyard????
I don’t recall and we didn’t ask🤔 some plumbing issues that are being sorted I think 💭😁

You passed my friends house. Right when you enter the town on left.
Oh wow 😮 in Treignac? Or another town?
Wondering why filming at La Lande is not allowed ....
Because they have their own vlog I guess and only permit certain people. We were honoured to be there so we didn’t question why 🥰♥️🫶🏼
Because everything is staged there , all rehearsed.
