I have been struggling with butterfly for the past 8 months and it's been so frustrating watching my peers move onto Aysha and me being stuck sliding out of a butterfly. But you've just shown me how to do it! I've just managed both sides and held it for so long! I'm so happy I cannot thank you enough 💛
@@ThePoleDancer I think I was trying to force myself up into position rather than pushing to the side as you advised as I was just always losing my upper arm grip. Also I was going into crucifix and then trying to extend the back leg which is when my grip would go, rather than using a leg hook.
This is such a small movement as opposed to just using a lot of strength to get yourself to vertical allignment but makes such a massive difference! I was able to do butterfly for the first time thanks to your instructions! Thank you so much! I am actually surprised that instructors don't mention that when they teach butterfly.
@@likyra2872 Sounds like it’s a strength thing. On one hand working on the arms split grip. Please pay attention that your too arm ahould also be well engaged, it‘s bot just the pushing hand. On the other habd workind on stacking hips over chest which can ve practices in Handstand Butterfly. How is the technique of pushing the pole to the side that I show in the video wodking for you? It requires less strength. Also keeping chest close to pole requires less strength
From the pole sit was beautiful. I admire your breathing!

Amazing tutorial I’ll try it!

Thanks! Why do I feel shaking not stable while doing butterfly? I’m not confident with my arms - thin and double jointed, super scared I will fell
You tell me. What could be the reasons that you‘re feeling shaky and not stable?
@@ThePoleDancer thanks for replying! I am not confident in my split grip - don’t know if my one arm on the bottom can push my whole body upside down?
