- The new 2024 Mercedes E Class Estate offers even more rear space compared to its predecessor. It has increased in width by 28 millimeters, providing rear passengers with increased elbow room of 1519 millimeters. The wheelbase has also grown by 22 millimeters to 2961 millimeters, resulting in more knee and leg room for rear occupants. The load compartment capacity can be expanded from 615 liters to a maximum of 1830 liters, while the plug-in hybrid model offers a luggage capacity of 460-1675 liters.
Despite its more dynamic roofline, the new Mercedes E Class Estate maintains functionality and a generous load compartment volume. The progressive overall appearance is accentuated by the raked rear window and a black panel-like surface that connects the radiator grille with the headlamps, reminiscent of the Mercedes-EQ models.
The interior features the MBUX Superscreen, which includes a large glass surface on the dashboard. With the optional front passenger screen, the MBUX Superscreen extends to the central display. Additionally, there is a high-resolution driver display in the driver's field of vision. The main icons on the displays have been simplified and color-coded to match smartphone tiles.
The vehicle's electronics architecture is now more software-driven, consolidating computing functions into a single processor. This enhances performance and data stream speed, as screens and the MBUX infotainment system share a powerful central onboard computer.
The E-Class Estate introduces the Digital Vehicle Key, which allows the car to be started and locked by the driver using a compatible device such as an iPhone or Apple Watch. Key sharing is also possible, enabling family members or friends to use the vehicle with different access rights. Multiple users can be recognized, and the Digital Vehicle Key can be shared with up to 16 individuals. In markets where Mercedes me connect services are available, the Digital Vehicle Key is included in the KEYLESS GO Comfort Package, which is part of the Premium Package in the new E-Class.

Finally a proper CAR. And it looks so much better than new 5 series.
I like it. Having grown up with large wagons/estates and driven an older one through my early 20s, I've gotten used to the spaciousness and practicality. I always to some degree thought about or wanted to get the E-class later in life. But they've actually stopped selling it in my country Norway (as they are going with the EQ line of models only instead). So I guess I'll have to import it from Germany or Sweden or something if I really want it.
Thats such a shame that they do this in norway here in hungary you can still buy 1/3 of the cars with even a manual transmission which j am really grateful for
@@iamnotyourmate I guess it was the markets decision and not Mercedes. About 80% of new cars sold here are EVs. You get good/impressive performance compared to normal ICE-cars (except for the range part) , and for surprisingly good prices too (at least for now), and our electricity is 98% from renewable sources so people can have a good conscience about it. But it is still feels quite weird that one can't get an E-class here, and it's actually discontinued. I would never have predicted it. I don't think Volvo is going to cancel their V90 here any time soon. Maybe just the E-class wasn't a good seller here. But it is a bit weird of a move still I think, because none of the EQ cars is close to replacing it, at least for now, until they may release a wagon type EQE model

Good idea: round speedometer and rev counter. But has the 'Star' gone astray or was it merely forgotten? But I think the arm rest for driver and passenger has become a littke bit too short. But why does the front design have so big 'nostrils'? This could have been made a bit more elegant.
M5 and cannot wait till the new M550i come out… prefer the saloon version

This car beautiful n amazing.
But not in the US.
The booth (trunk) seems to be rather small. Espacially very narrow. It seems It won't be able to fit stuff like my dining table as it does in my W124 Estate as I still use this old banger daily to commute and as a people and luggage carrier but also to haul just about anthing around.
This new E-class looks to me to be to small for me.
Buy the old model estate for that type of hauling new ones aren’t meant for that
