On November 17th, 2009, writer, journalist, and filmmaker, Tariq Ali, spoke at Hampshire College for the 12th installment of the Eqbal Ahmad Memorial Lecture Series. His talk was titled "Obama's Afghan-Pak Syndrome."
The Eqbal Ahmad Lecture series was founded to honor the late teacher for whom it is named. Ahmad was a longtime professor at Hampshire College, and this lecture series was built to be a continuing celebration of his life and work.
