RastafarI love. I don't like how his lecture overlooks the first and biggest victims of the European imperialist project. I am referring to the Indigenous people of the Caribbean and the Western Hemisphere. And, he rushes to discuss Liberia and Sierra Leone without emphasizing that these were Free Blacks who were not allowed to integrate in the U.S. after they bought their freedom. The British who sponsored the exile to Sierra Leone were similarly motivated, they didn't want black ex-slaves around. And, lastly, I sure wish that he discussed his own family's migration from India to Uganda. The Indian migration to Africa and the Caribbean was part of the racializing mandate of imperialism set forth by Europe. What are those people doing in the black world? They occupy a better position because they are nit black, and they look more white. And for me, the fact that he never calls out whiteness and white privilege is the missing part of this lecture. The reason why Israel is soo supported in her extermination of native Palestinians is that they have white skin, they are privileged. Their needs and desires are seen even by non Whites to be more important. It's sick, especially because so many nonwhite folks go along. Blessed love. #1804 #Ayiti
