I 3D print and paint a heartbroken maid

Hello, I am Mist. I paint a 3D-printed maid figure named Lisa, designed by Japanese artist Hitotonari. I use enamels, lacquer paints, acrylic paints ,watercolors, oil paints and soft pastel. Along the way, I share Lisa’s emotional backstory, inspired by the Cantonese song “Silly Girl” by Priscilla Chan. The story explores themes of love, longing, and loss, as Lisa reminisces about her past while finding comfort in a sweater that reminds her of someone she loved. The creative process was deeply emotional for me, as I immersed myself in Lisa’s story to convey her feelings through the figure.
Storytelling is a vital part of my work because it gives characters a soul. It’s what sets human art apart from AI-generated work-our emotions and the stories we tell make art meaningful. I chose the title "Ingénue" for this piece because it captures Lisa’s essence. In French, "ingénue" refers to a young, innocent woman, often with a sense of vulnerability. Thank you for watching!
