These grip strength exercises are my favorites for building grip strength at home. I demonstrate 12 different grip strength exercises in this video. You don't need to use all of them, though. 12 exercises would be too much. Just implement a couple of them and you'll see a difference.
I start off by demonstrating two tools or "gadgets" you can use strengthen your forearms. Grip strength equipment is not necessary, but it can definitely be helpful. The first gadget I show is a DIY wrist roller, which I explain how to build yourself (it's super easy), and then I show a cheap grip strengthener I bought on Amazon that I really like.
After that I proceed to show 7 different push exercises that can be used to strengthen your grip, plus 3 other pulling exercises to strength forearms, wrists, hands and fingers.
Put these into practice (just a few of them - not all of them!) and I guarantee you'll notice a difference!

Love the you are humble enough to tell us that you haven't gotten to the next progression.
Great content keep up the good work:)
Exactly
Yes mad respect
💯 just shows that even the best teachers can always learn more!
It's actually quite nice to see someone with well trained muscles fail at some exercises. Instead of always seeing people kind of flex their skills and progression level.
It reminds me of how everyone started at zero and needs to put effort into stuff to progress.
I'll take those advices into account, Saitama-san

I know for me, I'm trying to get Helltaker big and buff. Thick forearms, big biceps that could crush a Mellon, big chest, just pure upper body strength.
I'm not at a bad start I just need to get what fat I have out of my stomach and into the floor in a dripping sweat. -,-
That's kind of unironically true, though. Higher testosterone levels are associated with both hair loss and, of course, muscle growth

9 times out of 10 the smaller UA-cam channels are more informative & better at breaking things down. Than the bigger channels with millions of subscribers. Your channel is one of those channels. You’re very informative, from L- Sits to dragons & beyond. Keep up the good work! At the end of the day its not about quantity..its about quality & your vids are top quality.
thanks for the advices, Johnny Sins!
🤣🤣🤣
I’m sure his thing is hard too
Quality content and video! Much appreciated!!
I’m never this early and wanted to take this opportunity to thank you! I’ve been hitting the gym doing heavy weight workouts and the past few months I wasn’t very satisfied with my workouts anymore. You inspired me to start with Calisthenics and Bodyweight training and I love it! Hoping to learn even more from you! Keep it up!😊
This is the more inspirational comment I see today
Neil Faust I'm glad you're enjoying the bodyweight approach, man :) Thanks for the awesome comment!
@@MinusTheGym Thank you Ryan for the video. I was actually thinking of asking you to create the video on the grip strength. And you read my mind :). Thanks again for the good material that you are creating and sharing.
Yup I second that!! I also found most of the videos out there set unrealistic goals for us "normal" people
Straight up, clear & concise explanations, on the whole, throughout all your videos. Nicely staged from beginner to more advanced concepts. Thanks & just to let you know that you are doing a great job.
@Minus The Gym: Great video content! You keep us moving forward on our fitness journey!
Thank you!
Great videos, love the isometric exercises at home though the pandemic
Hey Ryan!
I love the aesthetics of a well built and defined forearm,so i definitely want to get there.
Currently doing some of them (in some variations) for my tennis elbow rehab, but since i got used to doing them almost daily,
it will be easier for me to maintain this routine throughout my weekly program.
The thing i heard is that, since forearms aren't used to this type of stress (because we don't isolate them as much as biceps, triceps etc)
they tend to adapt faster to the new stimulus,so the results can be faster and more significant.
You also gave me the idea to make my own wrist roller!
Thank you for the video and your advice, because it's the first time i heard that we should keep our scapulas depressed when doing one arm hangs.
I always try them dead hanging and cannot get a lot of training volume that way.
I will use the tip ypu mentioned and see how it goes.
Thanks again!👍
I like how you show your own progression and describe how you have come to it. TY :-)
Thank you! I have been following your exercises. And for sure I am doing these.
Keep up the good work my friend.
Best training exercise demos on youtube!!
This channel is amazing. Thank you for your hard work and great content!
I’m digging the background music. If I might add, my front delts tend to give out before my forearms when performing the wrist roller with my arms outstretched like that. I find that for me personally, keeping my arms closer to my body helps alleviate that. I also do it while standing on a raised platform cause I’m not the tallest dude. Not sure if that will help anyone out or not. Great content keep it up!!
Outstanding video...thanks for making this available.
Very useful video!! Thanks!

Excelente video. I'm already some of these and definitely gonna include the others to my off day.
Great stuff man. Your handstand hold time was impressive.
I wanted to thank you for making these videos. They are helpful and inspiring, last month I challenged myself to 30 pushups a day for 30 days, in day one my max was 15 today my max is 32, I'm currently doing 50 pushups a day and I have 2 weeks left in my challenge, I plan on incorporating your beginners calisthenics routine after that. Thank you again for the knowledge. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much!

Love your ideas my brother. Great video. Working on crushing coc 3.5 , ghp#8 and coc 4s over here and martial arts and strongman exercises. So I'm always looking at different things for more grip and tendon strength. And you got yourself a new sub 😎🗡🗡🔥🔥
Hey just saying your vids are great as always
The DIY wrist roller was great idea. Thanks for that!
Really good
Gonna try this!
Great! 👍🏻 Rope climbing or just rope hanging is also good for your fingers and forearms and can be placed as a level before towel hangs, yet it obviously requires additional equipment:) again superb content!
Excellent workout
very interesting, thanks man !!
Great exercise for forearm !!

Towel hang thanks for the idea!!!! I do dumbell end grabs and disk twist one arm add them too

Wow dude. This is a really original video at least for calisthenics content. I guess climber UA-camrs have already uploaded a lot of videos about this but it is really cool. Great video
So helpful, nice video tnx a lot ;)
Excelent!! Thanks
thanks this is killing my hand!
Good Stuff,Buddy
Awesome!
Good video as usual. I find that hanging on the bar till complete failure at the end of a pull-up set (especially weighted) to be one of the most effective grip exercises. And all it takes is adding a few extra seconds to your standard routine. You can do pull-ups on a thick or spinning bar if you want to go extreme.
BioHack yeah, thicker bars are great too. But I never tried a spinning bar... thanks for sharing that
@@MinusTheGym spinning bar is the worst. It's a very humiliating experience, haha. I don't usually look for those on purpose. It just so happens that the only bar near my house is broken, or spinning. I absolutely hate it lol. But it does wonders to your grip strength.

You speak such a clean and understable English. Also I enjoyed what you showed in the video. I think it´s useful and reasonable. I'm working on it!
Greetings from Spain.

Thank you for the great advice Saitama sensei
Very nice to see your video today I enrolled with your channel immediately
thanks buddy , I am able to do pullups now , my grip strength is now all goodie :)
The pvc pipe with weight works great thanks
with this, I can also reach levels of Hanayama.
Hanayamas got the best grip strength I admire that so much
Lol was just thinking about hanayama
bruh i came here after watching baki
Thank you saitama

Qualty content thumbs up
i appreciate your help mister saitama
Please make a video on split workout routine
Good video. The pvc wrist roller works better in my opinion when you hook it up to a low cable weight machine or pulley system. There are also competitions with weighted sleds. They use a big spool for the wind up going for distance with as much weight as you can drag by wrist rolling. The weighted hang is limited by how much your shoulders can hold.
I do grip exercises in the bathroom everyday, bro
Luiz Marinho now someone i can relate to.
Don't choke it too hard mate, you could cause some permanent damage
Lol
@@laifuthelife8483 why you choose bathroom for this exercise? :-)
@@jkbc easier clean-up

🌠THANK YOU FOR SHOWING US🗺
4:45 - For those who are struggling to do these: If you are able to do one/two-handed flat hand push-up but unable to do the same at the fingertips, then you need to strengthen your fingers. To do this, get them accustomed to handling your weight in that position first, and you do this by standing on your fingertips without actually doing the push-up which would require more strength due additional strain created by the movement. When you are able to stand on your fingertips for at least 10 seconds, you should be able to do a few push-ups as well.
i used to do that frog stand a lot when i was a breakdancing kid many years ago :)
Breakdancers show some of the most incredible feats of strenght
@@redmetalpanda9051 eh, not really
@@chinballitus7334 i don't know, see Simonster.
I'm saying pound-for-pound strenght
My wrist roller is a 4x4 wood block, which I rounded off. The thickness makes it harder work, and since it's only about 10" long I can also use it with my hands on the ends, in the thumb-up position.
