If all goes right, in several years Las Vegas will also be the destination for the first true high speed rail service in North America, Brightline West. Traveling at speeds of up to 186mph, electric trains will make the trip between Vegas and Rancho Cucamonga in just over two hours. Riders will connect at RC with Metrolink, SoCal’s regional rail service, to get to/from LA. It’ll provide a much needed and long overdue alternative to driving the I-15 freeway, which is notorious for long traffic jams in the middle of the Mojave Desert.

@@anthonymartinez4307 how so? Construction is set to begin mid-2024, with a very ambitious goal of service starting in time for the 2028 LA Olympics. As for whether they can actually achieve that goal, that remains to be seen. They do have the land for the right of way and stations, and the entire route is environmentally cleared.

The Las Vegas Strip is a stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard in Clark County, Nevada. The Strip, as it is known, is about 4.2 mi (6.8 km) long, and is immediately south of the Las Vegas city limits in the unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester, but is often referred to simply as "Las Vegas". it is governed by the Clark County Commission, not by the City of Las Vegas.

The hole area is Las Vegas they just changed names to divert water usage. A city grows but it’s still the same city. North Vegas south Vegas Henderson Boulder are all in one location. The airport is one location this paradise Las Vegas Clark county is just spread out. Summerlyn is Las Vegas Henderson is Las Vegas. China town is Las Vegas.

The only thing the corporations that own the hotels *need* to do is generate revenue. That's their sole mission. Given how wildly popular, crowded, and successful Vegas has been post-pandemic, they have no incentive to offer more buffets, reduce show prices, eliminate parking and resort fees, or make the town any more budget-friendly than it is right now.

My parents were honeymooning in late 1991, just months before I was born in May 1992. Long thereafter, we went to Las Vegas for the first time in 2004 when the Olympic summer games were ongoing in Athens, Greece. We stayed at Excalibur hotel and casino and we were just having a little bit of fun for three nights. Then, ten years later, we came back, but this time in a different hotel before we went to Circus Circus. Las Vegas is a city known for star-studded entertainment, and it feels like Hollywood. As always, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Casino surveillance has facial recognition so they can pretty much track everyone.
I like it because I work there.
Obviously there’s always psychos that don’t care if they get caught,
but I like the fact that pretty much every time crime happens at or around a casino,
the criminal is caught thanks to our surveillance.

I used to go see all the past legends: Dean Martin, Sinatra and the King himself Elvis who was the best of them all live-in person. Elvis played Vegas for seven years but only a couple of weeks twice a year. Wayne Newton has pretty much played Vegas 40+ weeks a year since 1959.
