- Gisele Bündchen, who has modeled since her teens, has been one of the highest-paid supermodels for more than twenty years. But she says she experienced extreme anxiety because of her lifestyle. The 43-year-old divorced mother of two children from her marriage to NFL superstar Tom Brady has since found peace in making a part-time home in Costa Rica. The self-described introvert talks with correspondent Lee Cowan about healthy living, her new role with Gaia Herbs, and what she most cherishes.

The impact her grandmother had on her is such a huge part of who she is. Regardless of the time that goes by after a loved one passes, the love will never go away. Our memories of them get tucked away in the recesses of our brains, that when we speak of them it brings all that love we have for them rushing back. I could feel her emotion when she got choked up and I couldn't help but tear up myself.

This was a complete breath of fresh air to see Gisele more as a person than the person on front covers of gossip magazines in fancy outfits, etc.

🤷🏻Her role in The Devil Wears Prada movie should have been bigger after watching this interview she’s even more relatable and likable. When she talked about her grandmother you felt her happiness and pain. She’s just a regular girl who became a successful supermodel living this crazy journey we call life.

Absolutely love this. Sometimes you can lose yourself as a working woman and being a wife. It’s hard!! Pouring into everyone and everything else, except yourself. I’m now learning, f that, I’m doing what makes me happy.

Well I totally get what you mean. Mother of 3 here. Some of us martyr ourselves and become shells and have to find our way back. It's more than okay to find yourself, it's crucial. And therapy will also tell you that.
I do the same, drink coffee all day and then wine at night to calm down. Except im a nurse and work 12 hour shifts, and nobody understands me either. They say yeah but you only work 3 days a week. I can totally relate.

It's so cool to see that she still has that Brazilian small town girl vibe.
I have to say it. I was lucky enough to be at the Met gala this past year and Gisele looked perfectly like what people imagine when they think of classic Hollywood glamour. Not a hair out of place, not a single misstep in the heels, the gown looked like something Ginger Rogers would have worn dancing with Fred Astaire. The lady is doing something right, wish I could age that way.
She’s only 43 which isn’t old. She also has stylists because she isn’t allowed to not look perfect.
@@Gemmarose9012 Almost every invited guest prob had a stylist, what I mean is that she has a gift of poise that no stylist can take out of a garment bag.
What was refreshing about Lee Cowan's interview was that it was NOT about looks. That actually, Giselle is a real person, who was very unhealthy and hooked on a cycle of uppers and downers when she had to manufacture that "poise" to feed the fashion industrial complex.
@@a.humanrightsactivist I am talking about my impression of her from five months ago and her health journey probably is part of what I perceived. To your point, maybe her health journey is the "doing something right" that I initially referenced and what I should learn from.
However, you are taking my statement, combining it with negatives from a different era, and turning "poise" into a dirty word. Poise is not just about looks, it is a confidence that radiates and she shows in the interview. I don't feel bad for saying the lady looked better than anyone else at the Met gala.

Gisele is German Brazilian, German from her parents. I could tell by her last name.

That’s not an excuse that’s a valid argument my grandma was married for 50 yrs but she told me if back in her time divorcing wasn’t a controversy she would’ve done that, I’ve always thought she was happy but she told me she was miserable most of her life my grandpa only changed for the better when he grew too old and that’s sad, committing to your vows also applies to loving and caring, when you change as a person and when the perception of your partner changes insisting on a marriage is just ridiculous
Gisselle is a super model who represents the 1% of the wealthy and privileged on beach front property. I struggle to see how she can offer advice to those of us that work typical jobs.
