Never interrupt a pianist while playing specially when they’re into it
I myself am a pianist and people will ask me questions while I'm playing and I'm physically unable to answer.

My mom came in my room while I was playing and scared the fucking shit out of me
I got arrested for assault for that...

FELT THIS ON A SPIRITUAL LEVEL
Damn, every time someone is mentioning Victor, I think it's talking about me, because my name is Victor
I love his melancholic soul.

He seems like taken from a E. A. Poe story. The melancholic hero.
Wouldn't you mind telling the definition of the word please
That is very... ya I don't know. It is kinda true but the phrasing just confuses me a little.😶🙃
> Slender body
> Tired eyes
> Mellow
Ah yes pianist indeed
I feel attacked
Today, we would call that a geek.
Pianiat *indeed*
Why must you call me out like this?
No real pianist actually play music. They don’t just play random notes and then dub music in like Victor did. I don’t think getting the notes right is that hard for the animator, they just need to ask the pianist who play the this
I remember being pissed that victoria interrupted him because I wanted to hear the full song😭
I finished it for him, wanna hear?

i don't know why but the way Victoria moves around in that dress is oddly satisfying. it feels so real, yet so dainty.

Lmao I agree
Thats the beauty of LAIKA's stop motion animation for you right there uwu
SpringZero 123 this isn’t a Laika film
Not entirely, no it's not made by LAIKA. But the stop motion animation is theirs. Remember that Corpse Bride is, after all, entirely stop motion. And if you look it up right now it is clearly stated that Tim Burton and LAIKA Studios (before they were making legit movies for their company) had worked hand in hand with the production of this film :)

@@alex-qh6tk I like that Victor ended up with Victoria, it wasn't a stupid cliche movie and that made me love it even more. It also shows that Emily and Victoria were great characters in their own way.

@stephanie kings and how they didn't go at each other's throats at all. And when it came time to choose, Emily let Victoria have her happy ending that she never had, and passed on at peace

It sounds like a wedding and a funeral at the same time. Perfect song for corpse bride

As a pianist (musicians in general can probably relate), Victor's reaction to her sneaking up on him was 100% accurate
I’ve developed a habit of looking at the reflection of the piano every 10-20 seconds to avoid this situation lol
yep. when you get in the zone, you can easily get a heart attack from people sneaking up on you lol

Just like Beethoven in the movie, Immortal Beloved
Definitely
Has anyone else noticed how backwardness this movie is? The land of the living is more dead than the afterlife.
Carson Fenimore I thought that's the first obvious thing you notice in this movie.
that’s kind of the point, buddy.
Thats the point of the movie😑😁
Oh gosh I never noticed that
Carson Fenimore this is so true
Victoria shows such little expression it irritates me every time I watch the movie 😂 She's just constantly so wide-eyed and bemused looking
maybe you have just analized The Surface of her character, but just think about the year where she is living, the status and the parents that she had, she learned To be a "perfect' woman of Her time by showing to little of her emotions, yet she falls deeply in love with Victor.
She's a great character, it really portraits the girls from that time, Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native English speaker :D
+Jenni Morena I suppose that's a good point, thank you for bringing that to my attention. But even when she should be extremely shocked or upset, very little of that shows on her face. I don't know, it just irks me.

+Jenni Morena also, your English was perfectly fine :3
Your English is great, but just be careful of one thing - I think you want the word "analyzed".
"Analized" is common speak for screwing someone in the ass, which I don't think you mean.
Anyone Else noticing Victorias waist is thinner than her Eyes.
heck her whole torso is thinner than the space between her eyes
Not really. It looks about the same width as the eyes in my opinion, though I don’t have a good eyesight so I could be wrong.

You know Victoria mentions they never let her learn to play the piano which gives me high hopes that when they got married Victor teaches her how to play.

Victor is like the combination of all melancholic protagonists from the romanticism
I always liked how the flower was set on the piano because, to me, Victor's song and the flower are the only lively things within this scene. They express beauty but also a sense of sadness because of what the song means to Victor. However, it does end up becoming an entrancing scene that is forever locked within my memory.

this is my fav song in the entire movie😢😢😢its sooo beautiful...
1:36 i can relate to that reaction
Highly relates to me lmao.
i heard the somberness in his tune, how he feels held down by expectations and then, a romantic factor playing in, the spontaneous ascension of the scale, in which then he's interrupted. a beautiful piece from a musik apprecianado and kids perspective
*omg the way Victoria moves in that dress in so satisfying omg I can’t-*
My favorite thing about this scene is, that this world of living, looks almost entirely like a black and white movie, but as soon as Victor started playing, I noticed that the world had slight tints of colour: blue, yellow and brown.
I wanted to play this song back in h.s. (2005-2009) when nobody in the auditorium was around. Not a single soul. Just me playing this haunting and beautiful melody alone. Such a dark and incredible masterpiece by composer Danny Elfman bringing this tune to life on Corpse Bride.
1:17 is my favourite part of the whole movie
this song has no words but says so many things
Who ever wrote this absolutely NAILED that Chopin sound. There’s no way this wasn’t directly inspired by his nocturnes
I agree! When I first watched this scene I even thought they used a Chopin nocturne I've never heard of!
@@therealransu it sounds a bit suspiciously like his opus 9. 1

Sounds like a hybrid between moonlight sonata and nocturne in C# Minor. Love it
as a pianist, I can definitely say that when you’re into it and someone disturbs you, this is the exact reaction you will have
This movie made death look so much more comforting when I was little. Beautiful vivid colors in the afterlife.
reminds me of the scene in "Immortal beloved" when Beethoven plays the moonlight sonata and gets startled when she walks in
„IT IS TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE TO ROB ME THIS WAY OF MY MOST TREASURED FEELINGS!!!”

Okay. UA-cam algorithm brought me here. Now the nostalgia is hitting me right in the feels.
Am I the only one who thinks Victor is HECCIN ADORABLE?!
No
I'm glad I still have the DVD, this is one of my favorite scenes!
I just noticed that the piano says Harryhausen on it, as if to be a tribute to the great father of stop motion himself! Very nice little detail...
This is the most gothic scene in an animated kids film I swear it’s gorgeous
I've just noticed that in the land of the living, it portrays a kind of sad life with the dark colours and no bright colours and in the land of the dead, there are parties, laughter and bright colours. It's amazing and I absolutely love this movie!
The song reminds of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.
me too, it's the same kind of feeling 😊
what a timeless video
I'm being honest, this scene made me fell in love with the movie
I love Victoria's dress. The little train in the back that drags is so cute. Hell she's cute as hell.
Yes she is
Victor just chilling in an empty room with the piano was my favorite scene to me other than the duet. It shows how bland being alone is and captivates it in a depressing song. Just remarkable direction on behalf of the makers of this film
I love how the living world is painted in monochromatic colors and the people look so, creepy? While the dead world is in bright, colorful colors and the people seem a lot more fun.

They animated him playing the wrong keys😵
Pretty sure this is stop motion... But I could be wrong
Yes this is stop motion, and it is really hard making him play the right keys but try to enjoy the song, eh?
yeet the piano scene is so beatiful.
@@cnn5697 its not really that hard at all... all they have to do is get a person who can transcribe music and tell them which keys to press (hell, if they made the piece, they should already have some sheet music to go off). if tom and Jerry could do it, so can others.
