I personally think it was good to see Sandy get back at SpongeBob for his mean spirited jokes towards her. As often as some of the characters get away with being jerks in the show, Sandy getting payback was rather satisfying.

Some brilliant bit of foreshadowing in the Peanuts episode is that if you look closely you’ll notice the oyster doesn’t start crying as soon as she’s hit with a peanut. She looks around first and then starts crying because she notices her pearl is gone.
The wallet scene is the most iconic from episode 11! The writing is absolutely hilarious and seeing how Man Ray and Patrick execute the scene is memorable. It will never not be funny!

That's why you gotta become a Billy and support them to get uncut episodes. But I love how they'll sometimes edit the reactions in a way where it's funny. Like the time they did 'Squid on Strike" and it then went like: "And you're gonna make picket signs!?" "NOOOOOO, Suidward!" As for the fish from the Squirrel Joke episodes. Yeah, that was him, and she told him to "Look again!". So you know he was waiting for his chance..
I will say the squirrel jokes episode is one of the few SpongeBob episodes with a satisfying conclusion. While SpongeBob kinda deserved what was coming to him, I’m glad they didn’t just make him unfunny again. He was doing the same thing, but this time not just to sandy, but to everyone
Right, the issue was that he was only throwing shade at ONE person/group exclusively. His excuses of "oh I'm just messing around, we all gotta make fun of ourselves from time to time," should apply to all the people he wasn't joking about. If you're gonna say shit like that then you gotta spread the "love." I do like how the final comedy night played out, first he started with the easy old squirrel joke, got everybody softened up in a good mood, then he threw in a curve ball, starting with himself (actually making jokes about himself like he kept claiming he loved to do, but hadn't ever done before), it went over well, ok, the flood gates are open, time to roast everybody in the audience. One of his main excuses was they're good friends, so of course she knows he's just kidding around, he's not being serious. 2. Sandy, the only squirrel in the room, and living in their town, isn't a good example of any of the characteristics he attributes to her. She's not stupid (to the contrary she was able to explore and live on the seafloor by utilizing sophisticated technology and built a functional rocket ship), she doesn't "smell" (as far as I know, but even if she did, she wears an insulated astronaut suit), etc. The joke is built upon a stereotype of which she is a poor example to begin with.

While there are plenty of season 5-onward episodes that turn Patrick into an awful friend, I’d never say he’s an evil genius, especially not in the early days. Well…unless a certain party is involved. “Everyone in my family can do that!” Does this imply Pearl can alternate her eyeballs too? Cause that’s terrifying. Finally, Erik’s disappointment at SpongeBob during the Squirrel Jokes episode is amazing. I love that this episode is almost an allegory to tell kids that racist jokes are a very slippery slope.

But it's done more downplayed there. The Card is a season 6 episode though so it'll be awhile before y'all get there.
I think what spongebob and the crew where doing with the whole breathing thing is a common fish habit. It helps them pull oxygen from the water by filtering thro their gills.

I'm just now realizing Spongebob's jokes were a metaphor for racism. Honestly it feels so much more hurtful now--and Sandy was SUPER patient with Spongebob.
You got tartar sauce mostly right. Mayo, pickles, dill, and capers are the big ingredients, though I'd imagine you can sub out certain things (or you can add stuff like lemon juice) like with regular mayo. Also apparently it used to be served with steak tartare, so that's where the name came from.
