SpongeBob snapping in "Can You Spare A Dime?" is so perfect. It's so entertaining seeing him get so mad and satisfying to watch him tell off Mr. Krabs. Also, that maid outfit is iconic.

Fun Fact: Original working titles for "Can You Spare a Dime" were "Down and Out", "Down and Out in Bikini Bottom" and "Squidward Quits A Job".
Any particular reason it was changed?

It was interesting to see SpongeBob to be on edge, especially in “Can You Spare a Dime.” He even puts Mr. krabs in a choke hold and shakes him violently. I’m like, “dang, SpongeBob grew a backbone!”😅
I mean, it’s not unwarranted. It really spells out for people, particularly employers, “Don’t lose your shit over the smallest things!”
Also, Mr. Krabs had to have been joking about that lie detector test because those things are expensive as all get out.

Seeing Spongebob lose it on Squidward and Mr.Krab was always a great thing to see. Showed me that if it comes to it, he absolutely will stand up for himself.

Easily one of the best examples of SpongeBob’s being justifiably angry. He reminds me of Arnold in a sense: an incredibly kind-hearted and charismatic character who tries their damnest to help out and isn’t easily ticked off, and you know you fucked up if you did tick them off
Spongebob was one of the best shows of the early 2000s that I've seen. I always found the Weenie Hut episode funny, and "s t r i p e d s w e a t e r"
SpongeBob season 1-4 was the best show but season 5 onwards it lost its charms

I love the episode where Squidward lives with Spongebob but I'm also a big fan of whenever sweet character's have enough and get angry.

The drifter in “No Weenies Allowed” is, with one other exception, possibly the only sea sponge seen in the show that isn’t related to SpongeBob.
Also, in a recent episode, the Salty Spittoon returned, and they had SpongeBob walk OVER the ice cubes.
“Can You Spare a Dime?” is a rare instance where SpongeBob actually SNAPS. This rarely happened in the old days, and almost NEVER happens nowadays.
The magic conch was hilarious. You cant program that type of comedic timing in a UA-cam reaction in real time.
This stretch of episodes created so many UA-cam Poops back in the day! I'm getting super nostalgic over it!

I love the “No Weenies Allowed” episode! It’s always a fun time seeing SpongeBob’s failed attempts to get into the sailor club, being called a weenie by a robot(who’s my favorite character from the episode), and seeing Patrick’s performance of beating himself up without lifting a finger(which has also been memed). Classic S3 episode!

I consider the first 3 seasons of Spongebob THE best era, with a peak in season 3 imo. That includes the first movie. However, seasons 4 and 5 are still okay, and I remember a lot of those episodes. A few of them are even classics. Once we get to season 6, it starts to change dramatically. It was a slow downhill after season 3, I guess you could say.
Just my opinion, but I get the sense most classic Spongebob fans feel similar.
@@Art-X-W Honestly the animation of those seasons isn’t bad at all considering how cheap looking cartoons look now. I’m glad the show didn’t switch to Adobe flash that some point. I heard Nickelodeon was considering switching to Adobe flash for SpongeBob around season 8 or 9 to cut cost but that idea didn’t went through.
Quality was going downhill a bit and they wrote Patrick as a villain too often but still pretty good I’d say. Things really fell to absolute crap in seasons 9 onward. The writing is terrible now. Essentially non existant. It’s just tons of slapstick and goofy expressions
7:15 got me thinking Spongebob would really thrive at a Hibachi grill or anywhere where the food prep is done as a sort of show 😂😂

Season 4 still has a few good episodes even without the original creator, but after that I feel like it started changing.

I love the “No Weenies Allowed” episode! I enjoy SpongeBob failing at almost every attempt to getting past the bouncer and into the sailor club, including the robot, (my favorite character from the episode) who calls SpongeBob a weenie, and when Patrick puts on a great performance by beating himself up without lifting a finger (which has been memed). Always a fun episode!
Fun trivia: Mr Krabs' first dime is actually a real currency. It's called a 'Rai stone' and was used by the native people from Yap island in the Federated States Of Micronesia until around the 20th century.

7:07 pff, it's always funny to find out that a line you grew up with in a different dub was actually pretty much the opposite in the original dub XD for example, here Spongebob says "I'm so glad I gave up fry cooking for this" while in the German dub I grew up with he says "It's just a shame I had to give up fry cooking for this"

in my opinion all the weirder and grosser stuff that doesn't feel as nessacary mostly started in season 6 so 4 and 5 are probably fine to watch
