      It’s not blood. I feel like most people who like well done steaks, are freaked out bc of the color. What if it was just brown? Guga foods has a video where they make a medium rare steak look like it’s well done. Would you eat that?

    • @KLEIN-0
      @KLEIN-0 8 днів тому +1

      sorry but even a raw steak doesn't leaks blood When steak is cooked, myoglobin releases a red pigment, which mixes with water present in the meat, creating the red juice we see. This mixture is entirely different from blood and is a natural part of the cooking process for meat, especially when prepared rare.

    I like this because it shows well done isn't ruining anything, it's just people get too many thick cuts and end up having to finish it in the oven, or over cooking it.

    Im glad someone finally understands what a well done steak is, it doesn’t mean burnt or dry just with no pink or very very little to the point where you can barley even see it. Thanks

      You are welcome my friend I’ve always stressed the point that there is a huge difference between a well done steak and an over cooked steak. Cheers 👍

    I made this just today with juniper berries in place of the black pepper, dried oregano, and dried thyme in place of the bay leaf. I did use the anchovies and garlic, and butter, though, and it came out fantastic. I paired it with pureed parsnips and celeriac and sauteed broad beans. I also put ground juniper berries and garlic in the parsnips and broad beans. I had it alongside a Glutenberg blonde, it was very tasty. Thank you very much!

    Thank you for being an unabashed champion of the well-done steak. For me, if a steak is cooked any less, the part that has not been thoroughly cooked is mushy and bland. The wonderful texture and taste of the well-done meat is so amazing!

    contrary to many they say to high heat the pan, its not needed for well done cause you burn the outside much faster, your right with medium heat only for even cook.

    😂 a lot of people think that well done steak is tough, because they've never had it cooked correctly. I was raised by my grandparents and my grandma went to school to be a chef . I never used to like steak because my aunt was always the one doing the cooking while my grandma was at work. But after my grandma retired, she cook me a well done venison steak, and it was the most delicious Steger Arrowhead. And I've been a steak lover ever since😂 I wish that woman was still here, even though she taught me how to cook as well, I can't cook like that woman used to cook😢

      But at that point its when i realized that well done is actually incredibly difficult to master and perfect cuz unlike medium rare and medium were you can tell when it’s medium rare well done dosent work like that and timing is everything when making the perfect well done steak

    I'd personally use garlic powder (seems to give a stronger garlic flavour, for steaks, anyways) I'd skip the anchovies (family member has allergies).
    I'm usually one who doesn't go for the extra butter.. but, I'd try it.
    Too many places will not serve well done... They'd burn the outside, and, leave the middle raw... Oh, and, take offense if you want your meat cooked

    I prefer well done steak. People don't believe it can taste. Good. I also like medium rare but my wife only likes well done.
    I fine that the fat gets softer and it has a nicer juicer flavor and is easier to bite. The flavour of the fat changes and so does the texture when well done, and I don't think this is understood or appreciated.
    The best steak to make well done is fatty steak, the less fat, the better it would taste less well done.
    You want the fat nice and soft
