Fun facts: Actually, driving in a straight line is the hardest thing you could do, in fact Jeremy Clarkson spun a car driving straight.
Even the great Ayrton Senna, his car would wiggle more than brazilians on carnival, he almost didn't drive straight during his career.

I think one can either master the straights or perfect one's cornering. A person racing most of the time around corners, chicanes where all the cars mostly keep in straight line would surely be baffled by huge, wide swarm of cars moving along the straight track.

@@elbeto191291 On ovals us Yanks count the entry and exit as two separate corners. Makes sense because of how long the turns are, but then you get to a place like Pocono which marks itself as having only 3 turns for some reason.

In the age-old debate, Lambo vs Ferrari, one must simply look to the pinnacle of motorsport - Formula 1.
Ferrari has 2 very poor Formula 1 cars, and Lamborghini has 0 very poor Formula 1 cars, so the winner is quite obvious.

if anyone wants to see this type of racing in real life, watch a NASCAR race at Daytona or Talladega
The one time I went to Talladega it was single file nearly the entire time and the race finished under a yellow flag.

SkippingRhyme No it was more recent than that. The ARCA races I went to were way more entertaining(closer to the track , more chaos etc. A car literally flew off turn 3 into the woods).I’m not saying every race at talladega is boring like that though. Oval racing isn’t really my thing anyways.

It's quite interesting having an FIA race on a circuit where the last 3% is the only part of the race that actually matters.
As happy as I am to see a new video of yours, I am even happier to hear that you've been taking some time for you. Quality over quantity; don't lose your passion for what you do; it's awfully difficult to maintain "flat-out" work while staying passionate the whole time; that being said, thanks for making content for all of us to enjoy!

I think I find it sad to know that even doing something as easy as playing video games and uploading to UA-cam you still feel the "I wish I didn't have to work" feeling. I always thought I would love sitting on my ass uploading UA-cam videos of me playing video games all day, but at the end of the day I guess it's still work.

I've wanted to have a race like this in gt sport in the daily races. Something like nascar or indy 500 style race where silpstream is the key but unfortunately, i never saw one :/
This is in the daily races this week with GT40’s. Problem is, and looking for help here, bump drafting (either doing it or being bumped) caused my SR to plummet from a solid S to a B in one lap! Was I doing something wrong? I bumped once and saw SR arrow down, then proceeded to get “boosted” from a guy behind that would push me at every chance (I was not blocking) and my SR kept going down.

The French battleships were sunk because a part of France gave up and collaborated with the Germans. Therefore these ships would basically fall into German hands. To avoid this the English gave them a choice. The ships would go with them back to England, or they would be blown to smithereens. The French chose the latter.
Something similar later happened in the war when the Italian battleships were moving to join the British after a part of Italy swapped to the allied side. These ships were sunk en route by german planes (also using some of the first guided missiles).

yeah the government gave up to germany and they feared some of the admirals would go with the germans. and the brits fired before the french really gave them an answer lol. the US also had to shoot at the french battleship jean bart other destroyers during operation torch at casablanca.

The mad bastard who made this race is at it again! It's the Nations Cup race for Boxing Day! Only this time, we're all going to be locked to using the road-going version of the Corvette C7, which tops out at 230mph! So that's gonna be interesting....
I absolutely loved driving Route-X in GT5 with my Veyron, fun fact: although the track was a DLC, for the first few months it was possible to play on it without the DLC as long as you weren't the host of a room. No idea if it was intended in the first place, but at some point they removed this.

That qualifying session reminds me of the old NASCAR group qualifying procedure where nobody wanted to leave pit road first because they wouldn't get the slipstream and their lap would be slower.

The Special Stage X reminds me of the NASCAR lobbies on GT5's servers. I ran plenty of races with regulars on there where we were at the absolute limits of grip and draft skills were paramount. I both won and lost races with an interval of 0.000 in those lobbies.

Lol I ride bikes. I feel like you don't draft aggressively enough. Should have drafted as straight as possible and don't face the wind, then use your momentum to "sling" yourself around the front driver at the last corner before finish.
at 13:30 you mentioned the viewers wanting longer video clips. I actually like the shorter stuff. It is easier to find 10 minutes of free time to watch a video, but not so easy to find 20 free minutes. Some may disagree with me, but that is my preference. Thanks as always for the content.

GTS gets worse by the week, but then this must be a reflection of those still playing it as the really good drivers have now left.....younger sim racers are just a world away from the racers I learnt my craft with.
Always happy to see a new Super GT vid. Can't say taking a break is the wrong thing to do. Burnout is tough to deal with. Very difficult to get the passion back once it starts to fade. Always a good idea to just step away once in a while and do a bit of a reset.
I would have pinned the dutchman into the wall. Turning across argy bargy, maritime laws apply on Special Stage X. That's what makes it special.

I went in every slot during the SSRX race. They were all a complete shambles. I don't think I've hated the game as much as I did that Tuesday.

A flat-out track in a game where only the trailing cars benefit from the draft. Who thought that was a good idea? And who thought it was a good idea to not model-in the benefit of drafting on the lead car?
This race got me on the door of A class simply because I won the slipstream lottery against a field of A drivers. I'm a happy man.
