I absolutely love BG. He always has those unique cymbals sounds and super fat bass and tom sounds. That all being said, I'm not a huge fan of the over-the-top performances like this that go way off script..... I much prefer a drummer using sticks to play. He is a great performer though, and these types of performances are definitely a hit among most people. He is one of the top modern drummers and would easily land in my top 10. Love this guy.
Efectivamente, aquí es donde concuerdo con uno de los bateristas mas influyentes de la historia, bien decía Jeff Porcaro que los solos en la batería no demuestran absolutamente nada, Benny es un excelente baterista, pero llamarlo innovador por tocar con las manos, golpear los toms por el cuerpo o raspar los platillos se me hace muy exagerado, aquí no demuestra otra cosa mas que el hecho de que los Drum Solos están tan usados y son tan inútiles que tiene que recurrir a esos recursos que no tienen sentido y que además pueden dañar tu batería. Si quieren encontrar un baterista que SI sabe HACER SOLOS que si bien no soy fan de los Solos pero el sabe al menos lo que es un solo, les recomiendo al legendario Álvaro López, al menos el no hace tontearías con como golpear donde se supone que no debe ser. Otra cosa muy importante, Benny es excelente, mantiene el tempo, seguridad en los golpes y buenos gigs, sin embargo los solos de el donde hace estas cosas, siento que rompen muchisimo lo que se supone que debe de ser un baterista con las características que mencione.
