And why they do not not have any NIRF ranking.

IIITs are not full spectrum colleges. They are non-tech focused (CSE & ECE) and are primarily about placements. So, less number of courses and so, small number of students and less mental & competence diversity. You see, college life is THE real deal during 18-22 years of age. You MUST learn during this age range primarily. You cannot learn as actively in your masters as you do in your bachelors. These are the MOST formative years to shape you as a person for the rest of your life. You imbibe the most in this age frame. You interpret and experiment the most during this phase. You meet new people, some associations, lasting for the life time. You learn about the bonding, people, and see the power of team work or a lack of it, in driving success or failure, respectively. You learn to "share," joy, sadness, and stuff! :) First time you experience a free life (if you are living on your own as a hostler or PG) and you discover "yourself." Your strengths, weaknesses, happy triggers, sad triggers, everything good, bad, ugly. You learn to laugh and cry alone too. You witness the incredible beauty of loneliness elevating to solitude too. All on your own. You will see yourself turning shockingly or surprisingly responsible. :) Net, net, you must not miss this for anything. Do NOT! And the experience is directly proprotional to the broad spectrum exposure you get. Most definitely prioritize full specturm Govt engineering colleges like IITs, NITs, or reputed state colleges like DTU, NSUT, COEP, etc., may be GFTI like BIT Mesra, and keep IIIT as the last resort. IIIT is good for people over inclined towards non-tech research, teaching, or placement. In that case you may keep IIIT as your priority. However, I will still say, for everyone, give yourself a chance to be an enhanced version of you as a person and a professional. Meet yourself. Go for full spectrum college. A Government one, I mean.

The major issue is most of the IIITs are new and not ready kind of institutions.
IIITs ke students bhi boom krna satrt kr chuke hai, thing is most of iiits were eshtablished just pre covid; beech me covid aya to expansion ruk gya due to only online presence; now they have started to show colours.

Bhaiya iiit ke curriculum par video banao maine suna hai ki iiits me workload bhut jada hota hai iss wajah se bhi log iiit ko prefer nhi krte hai😢😢

I am in iiit, workload is not that much as you are imagining even there is no workload and the placement is much good as in my iiit last year placement was of 85 lakh.however infrastructure is not good but placement is very nice

If you want placements,good hostel food ,room ,then never come here at any cost
If you want freedom,less college work load, chill professor,not so hard grading systems,then come here ...

Bro iiit placement are not very good you are saying absolutely wrong ??? They are basically good data manipulator . Teachers in iiits are also not very good
Only good things is that students are very good and most of highest paying job in iiits are offcampus .
Still if they give data i dont think any new iiit have placement more than 70 to 80 percent if we leave 2022 batch.
And at last most important things is that earlier in most of them having seat capacity of 60 to 100 due to which average placement look so high . Now seat increases to 3 times or 4 times and they are facing very difficulty in placement for 2024 batch not even 20 percent student got full time offer in almost most of iiits inspite of good coding culture and hard working students as of now.
For authenticity i am also a student of iiit .

Pagal ho kiya iiit hyderabad, iiit delhi , iiit allahabad, iiit bangalore, iiit guwahati, lucknow acche iiit hain baki iiit pata nhi but teachers are very good new institution hain isley jadatar new iiit ka campus nhi hain but good college cse and ece Agar itna bekar hota world ki best programing contest iiit delhi and iiit hyderabad kaisi gyi
I am not saying about these iiits I am talking about new one which was opened in recent years 2013 onward . Ask anyone who's are currently 3rd or 4th year students studying in these colleges.
