XB43 guy here , I have had the speaker for over a year now and for the price I bought it , 166 USD I can say 100% that it was worth it , it's more than enough to fill a room with very loud music and outside you can hear it from over 50M/164 feet away . It has a pretty deep bass though not the deepest , very good highs and good mids . The main issue I find with this speaker is that you can't carry it around easily since it doesn't have a handle or anything to carry it around , you have to hold it in your hand or in a bag which is not ideal since the speaker weighs 3kg/6.6 lbs
@@deadthem I bought the silicon case &also hardtop case and the problem with transportation is history. Some people see only a issue ,they are not looking for a solution to the problem.
@deadthem I got the silicone strap for my xb43 too, but it didn't take alot of time carrying in it before it slipped out of its case and fell 0.5 m to the ground (luckily not on asfalt/tarmac but in nature (soil, dirt, roots & sand) so it didn't break but only got dirty. I don't dare to carry it like that no more tho..

Same here ,both for only 235 euro. But what is more important to me is the bass is balanced and I can hear also more details. To much bass deforming the sound. That is what I can hear with JBL. Bass is not all, balance is everything in Life 😉

I have the boombox 2 its really good once its had a proper time to wear in below half it certainly gets better the annoying thing is i believe around 45hz its just too over powering and too much its like a sudden boom of bass then mellow again depending on the song obviously but outside its not a problem
I bought sony srs xb43 on special offers, connecting on mobile via bluetooth is great , but connecting to older led TV via audio jack brought the inner beast since tv was like digital amplifier is sound superior.. i am happy with it and tested with song "Gangnam style "
I have experienced this before, sony provides straight forward bass right onto us, while Hk, Jbl using the "heavy" vibration for bass. Vibration makes the Hk and Jbl sound awful in little size rooms.

Jbl is obviously better but this is indoor test so the mic distorts from the bass so mids and highs sound muffled on the jbl. In real life jbl kills the sony. Also check description the sony needs more volume percent to keep up with jbl.
Sony's battery life on latest speakers is sucks. In max volume the Xb43 your looking around about for and hours anehaft. Maybe 2 hours playbacktime but the Sony Xb43 volume set 80% your looking around about 3 anehaft maybe 4 hours of playback time. Which not that impressive considering share size and weight.
I have JBL Xtreme 2 and the Sony SRS xB 43 Boombox 2 is $500 I got my Sony for $150 the Boombox has awesome Bass blows away the Sony but when it comes to sound quality I kind of like the Sony it's almost as loud and is easier long-term listening Boombox 2 That Bass can get annoying after awhile unless you're having a party dancing on the floor with hip hop close call but look at the size and the price difference you know close call except for the base Sony wins for the money I still love my Xtreme 2 and I love my Sony two different sound signatures my JBL Xtreme 2 has better deep bass and a smoothie sound and more natural my Sony has better upper bass a wider soundstage and plays a little louder and has cool lights I go back and forth I find myself listening to my Sony more maybe it's because it's newer thanks for the good video bro. Oh by the way listening to this on my Klipsch Cinema 600 so I hear everything the way it's meant to be heard because it plays loud and clear down to 27 Hertz

Yeah this is how it sounds like, the boombox 2 really sounds like a small sub regarding bass, and when indoors you can clearly feel the bass in your chest. Of corse when you raise the volume to 100% the bass doesn’t increase as much as the mids and highs but it’s still enough; and apart from that it’s very rare that you listen indoors at such high levels as at like 75% is already very loud
Xb43 is so much fun with the lights illuminating the speakers inside. Its just a very fun speaker. The boombox obv beats the xb43 in bass but if you inflated the xb43 to the same size of the boombox it would probably have just as loud bass or louder. The drivers on the xb43 are also butch as fuck for their size and have huge magnets powering them. If you really want loud bass and clear sound that crushes the jbl boombox tho you want the jbl partybox 100. Its fucking cheaper than the boombox too.

This is same as if you combared twice as expensive and big subwoofers with same box, while size alone makes boomboxes bass sound deeper it offsets whole sound profile and dissapoints for price of it. Here without sales u can get almost 3 xb43 for price of boombox. Get 2 xb43, stereo sound, better audio and beats boombox in bass easily
